OMG is so onQ from 100% ticket comps to all access passes, not to mention fake tickets...For Gods sakes! 1-15-2011 was an eventfull day for all pertisapants just as life which BTW is not always SMOOTH SAILING....Can I get a wittness, refund and an amen....Nah, just put out a DVD of the event.
I wont even get main floor seats for a monster show like that. ive been to too many shows on the floor, and i enjoy sitting in the lower bowl sections much more. you can see with no obstructions, you can sit when you need to and just enjoy the show.
I know I`m CRAZY but,Seriously People! The worst place to be at a show is onstage! You miss all the GOOD STUFF!Been onstage for a few different groups.Would never want it at a Kid show. Right in front of JASON is my spot at a KID show! What does what I`m riding or driving got to do with the ticket`s I buy?
And my reason of being up front of a stage to watch a singer perform is not only do I love their music, but they gotta in MY EYES be a good entertainer on stage...I one day,i will attend a KID ROCK concert. I am just hoping he will have concert dates after his cruise in April.
I have to say from some experiences of concerts myself I agree with Jade about the VIP...I have been to Rick Springfield concert and I was up in the bleachers. sucked lol...I have seen ALABAMA yrs ago and was on the floor in the way back standing and couldnt see anything, could only hear..Now I have been to many of Bret Michaels concerts, and I have learned VIPs are not always the best seat in the house..unless its meet n greet package. if its not that then really look at the floor plan like Jade mentioned to where you really wanna be, sometimes you cant always get the best seat, but ya can try.. I have never been to kid rock concert ever, but speakin from experience here on others i have been to, me myself much rather buy cheap ticket and stand outside all day if thats what it takes to get up close to the stage where the performer is.. thats the best for me..yes its crowed and cramped at times but hey, its the place to be in my eyes..
I don't know.. all I'm saying is I've seen some really good pictures floating around from ppl who were up there in the cage. It couldn't be that bad.. c'mon now. Truth be told.. we got tickets that put us in the first section of the bowl on Marlon's side.. and we couldn't really see the jumbotron either... we got a side view of the big screen. We didn't get to see anyone on the stage unless they stepped out onto the cat walk or in the front of the stage. So the only band members we got to see was Marlon, Jason, and Aaron... dammit I want my money back..lol
Nah.. but we did get to see the 800 dollar VIP'ers in their cages.. and all I was thinking was good thing I ain't got that kinda money to spend on a ticket. One of the first things I mentioned to my husband was.... looks like they have the MID Mesh Curtains up right in front of the cages.. so they are not gonna see much outside but the stage area below them.. and my next thought was.. anyone who wasn't front row in those cages wasn't gonna see anything. The port o potty at the bottom of the steps made me laugh a bit... it was conveniently located next to the bar. Couldn't get those things promised any closer...lol
I'm with you Angel. He's a performer. We all pay to see him perform (myself included).
Nobody ever figures in the days when he played small clubs in front of just a handful of friends with no pay at all. lol.... now that he's a celebrity, everybody wants a piece.
NDM, the cruise is sold old. If you want the best experience, that is it! Unless you can get your hand on some up close seats at a show.
HE REALLY IS THE BEST PERFORMER!!!! I was in the cage too. It really was awful! I did research, even got a map from the admin. I did not expect to meet him. People are rightfully mad. But most of the seats are great. Let's hope he ditches those stage seats. Don't let that leave a bad taste in your mouth. I think we all would go to another concert in a heart beat.
I am from Chehalis, back in your stomping grounds. THE 2ND best place: Puyallup Fair. I know weird huh? Front Row seats are well worth it. Get in the club if you are not. You will prob end up with row 7-12 which are still really great AND FACE VALUE! ( do not get the seats that are off to the side, section)
He will prob not perform there this year: looks as if his shows are mostly stadiums. But he will be releasing more dates. Expect Clark County Amphitheater OR Rose Garden, and Tacoma Dome. IF WE get lucky he will ditch the Tacoma Dome and do the Puyallup ( but 50k or 3000 seats? hmm)
The other great places I have seen him Seattle Showbox SODO. Great Venue... he was a week from releasing ROCK N ROLL JESUS. Literally club, max 1500 tix, if that.

I just hope the Band or BOB does not say heck with this...I still want them to play music. its like anything ya buy ya do some talking find out who your buying from and discuss things. I remember me singing on a haywagon once...I belted it right out too...I wish everyone could of got to be close enough to have his sweat splatter on ya...but if he had did a meet and greet with 85,000 well hed of had to of started out 5 months ago.

The cage looked like a shitty place to see a show. but why in the world did anyone buy those tickets? I hate most VIP or Box seats at any theater or event. they are always way in the back in a separate room or they are squished on the side to the left of the right of the stage. They are more about being separated from the general audience than they are about a great view. I always look at the floor plan before buying tickets and don't always buy the most expensive tickets... they aren't always the best places to see. Shit, here in NYC many broadway & dance theaters have expensive seats as the ones in the pit or first few rows of the orchestra. and they are terrible places to see shows from. you're looking straight up into the actors or dancers and can't really see the depth of what is going on. and in the case of dance, the best seats are always in the balcony-- so you can see their foot work and patterns-- which are lower prices.
in the future, do some research, check floor plans, ask around and never assume that the most expensive are best.
and I don't give a shit what you ride or what you test rode. I'll take my Dyna over your 4-wheels any day.

since I have never seen KID ROCK, from all the comments I have read and negative feedback and very little postive feedback.. wont make me change my mind to go see him, but i will choose carefully if i decide to go on the kind of event he performs at.. I think I would rather see him at a smaller venue....still a question in my head.....I noticed his tour stopped on dates march 14th.. then there is one in may and july.. i wonder if he will put more out there?? and the cruise is april... im constantly checking the types of venues he is goin to play at and will make a decision from there.. like i said id rather go to smaller venue ...I THINK lol...
My reference to my cars is do to a previous posting stating we "wouldn't buy a car without test driving" it first. And the reference that we some how spent money we don't have.
Out west when Kid Rock performs, there are -0- VIP's, no RAT CAGES, and when you buy a ROW 1 Ticket, it's REALLY ROW 1.
I know many of the fans in the cages probably couldn't afford those tickets. (Some were hard working teachers, some bringing their teenage daughter to a concert for the first time, one family who flew thousands of miles dad was just given his last rights as they got there).
And maybe some of them weren't as smart as you all, and some of them were; some richer than you and some not.... it doesn't make it right to sell an ON STAGE tix that is ABOVE STAGE.
But it doesn't make it right.
It probably isn't Kid Rock's doing... but it's he who suffers too, no different than the scalpers leaving a bad taste in his mouth.
Kid Rock is a gracious man. He worked his way a long hard road to get where he is today. It's a shame that those tickets were sub par. He knows his fans work hard too.. he acknowleges it every concert.
He makes things right, whenever he can. (Even when it's not his doing).
Well, your tickets were advertised as ON STAGE, and well, you were ON STAGE. You keep mentioning Bon Jovi, did I telll you yet that I could give two shits nor a fuck about Bon Jovi? I went and seen Kid Rock open for Bon Jovi, and it made Bon Jovi's show look awfully pathetic. The Best seats in the house were 80 bucks, makes you sort of foolish for spending 800 bucks to sit ON STAGE, doesn't it?

Angel & Kev, THANK YOU for making me laugh today! I can't see myself paying $800 for tickets either (not to mention it is my whole paycheck for 2 weeks)! I am only 4' 11" so my seats for the Greensboro show are in section 126. Being there many times, I don't think I will have any problems seeing the show! I only paid $42 for my seats! My 2007 Chevy Silverado will move everybody out of the way to get me from New Bern to Greensboro on Feb. 22! Have a great day:) Thanks again!:)

I don't think it matters how much someone makes a year, if they could afford the 800.00 vip tix or not... it was well posted by the KRC we would NOT meet Kid Rock.. ( which you can on the cruise, Thanks Bob!),
On the other hand...the most expensive tix they were selling were $800.00, and were advertised as "ON STAGE". This was not the case.Bon Jovi does his VIP seats and you get the 1st couple rows.. THE BEST seats in the house... for the highest price... that's how it should have been.
And BTW I drive a 2011 SL550, 1960 mint Corvette, 3 2011 Cadillac Escalades and a FORD F150.. all new,all cash,and I test drove every one.
We had great $75 dollar seats, I won't buy tkts on the floor, I'm 5' 0", I can never see above the heads in front of me, learned that lesson a long time ago. I wouldn't pay $800 ever, We got in w/ no problem, got to our seat w/ no problem. Took my 21 yr old who liked Kid but wasn't a huge fan, He had the time of his life, Priceless!

You sat Front row. The Seating Chart for Ford Field was available on Ticketmaster. How int he fuck would you expect them to put risers in front of the stage? That would be cool to block everyone else. I am going to say this once, never buy a car before you test drive it. Anyone who spent 800 Dollars, well, I hope you actually had 800 dollars to spend, because for 100 bucks you could have sat anywhere in that whole arena, and had a seat that was just fine. I am sure each and every one of you expect Bob to come here and cut you checks, and pay for your tickets, or maybe we should all donate a couple bucks because the people that got to sit in the very front, were not happy. I had a VIP Pass and coulda walked and sat anywhere in the whole place, and I sat right off to the side, next to cages, posted at the bar, and well, I was happy as could be.
Here is my suggestion to all of you, quit spending 800 dollars on concert tickets. I can not sit here and think of one concert I would pay 800 dollars to see and walk away happy. If I paid 800 Dollars, and Elvis Presley, The Beatles with John Lennon, and Eazy E were all brought back to life and played a show together, I would still be pissed at myself the next day for spending 800 dollars.
IT IS ALOT OF MONEY!!!!! but even if they sat in Jasons lap... They would see BOBS BACK. and they would not see the Videos on the Jumbo Tron. I would never have chosen to sit on stage for that very reason. lol thats my point. How could you not have thought of this when you fork out that kinda money.
But they also got amenities that the other 65, 700 peeps didnt get.
With all due respect, $800 is a shit load of money to pay for a ticket. My friend got one and then she heard on Friday that the "cages" are what they used at another KR show. She stressed big time over it as it's a lot of money to pay out for a seat! When they said "on stage" seating I thought they were maybe going to be sitting on some benches or risers at the side of the stage.
I was lucky enough to get last Fridays presale (VERY LIMITED TKTS) and my seats were in row 12, sec. B about 10 feet off the catwalk where Kid sang and stood most of the night. I paid $300 and had WaY Better views than the VIP $800 tickets! I can see where people would be pissed off at that! I love me my Kid Rock but I do feel sorry for those FANS who paid $800 and I think they have a right to be pissed!
And I think All of this tour, the concerts are going to offer VIP seats! I got free drink vouchers but would've stood in line for an hour to get a couple of free drinks so I said fuck it and just went and bought it from a beer stand.
The Concert was GREAT overall though! for me!

I guess maybe because I have been to many shows and seen the same set up for years, I would have known what to expect. To be honest, I always thought those cages were for the crew and Backstage peeps to see the show. Personally I could never justify spending that kinda money for any show, but i always wanna be out front where you can see everything. i just dont understand how you thought you would see Rock. You knew the catwalk was there. You knew he would be out on the Catwalk at least 90% of the time. I just dont get it.
I AGREE WITH YOU --NO MORE VIP--WE WERE VERY MISLED.--our "private bathroom" was a damn port-a-potty!!! no hand sanitzer, water mirror nothing!! I just expected to have much better "Seats" It looks neat up there but it wasn't!! I was not expecting to meet him, touch him etc... It was not his fault but the people who set it up. EVERYONE up there was so upset. What was advertised and promoted was not what we got..that's all. I tried several times to contact the promoters to find out what the set up was gonna be and they never contacted me...if I would have known what the set up was i would have never paid that kind of money for tickets!! VERY DISAPPOINTED!! I am just pissed that I spent $800 on such a crappy view!! when did on stage seating turn into above the stage obstructed view standing ?? I tried not to let it get to me but man after seeing the videos that are already on you tube--I missed so much stuff!!! JUST VERY LET DOWN AND DISAPPOINTED!!
