Dark Thirty
There’s a faceless girl
In a nameless City
Ready to take on the world
Oh she’s so damn pretty
Bright eyes and long curls
Never been down and dirty
Aint never seen the things
That happen at dark thirty
The bad bad things that happen
At dark thirty
There’s some kind of people
That change right after dark
Take advantage of a young girl
With a certain kind of spark
Might wind up in the dirt
Down in Central Park
For whatever its worth
Happens at dark thirty
Bad bad things happen
At dark thirty
There’s a faceless kid
In a nameless town
He plans to make it big
He plans to bring it down
Thank you for all of the caring responses... I've been touched by the stories that you have shared with me. When you're sad and heartbroken, it is good to know that others care. You're right about the healing power of KR's music. I'm not sure if that was his intention when writing these songs but I'm so glad that he not only wrote them but included them on Born Free.
hi
I am very sorry for your loss. Losing someone you love is never easy. It's a hard thing to come to terms with something that happens so tragically.
The world stood still for me when I heard When It Rains. It took me back to something I had never forgotten or dealt with. The death of someone I loved dearly as miss constantly. A really good friend lost his battle with cancer less than a year ago. Both deaths left me raw and devastated, When It rains really hit home.
God Bless you and your family.
I'm so sorry for your loss. my thoughts are with you and your family.
I'm So very Sorry for your loss, my thoughts and prayers go out to you and your family, My dad has been fighting a hard up hill fight with cancer and never really listen to Kid Rock but as him and I watched the CMA's He heard " Bornfree" and looked at me with tears in his eyes and said thats the song I want you to play when I'm gone ! I love the new C.D
I know exactly what you mean. When I 1st listened to When it Rains, It took me right back to the death of my husband. And Rock On hit me hard as well. God Bless you and your Fam.
Bob, You're helping the healing begin ~ a gathering of friends listened in silence to ~ "When It Rains" ~ ~ God bless your soul
My prayers to you and your family.. I know what you are going through my dear, and it is rough.
Music helps me to deal with lots of things tho. God Bless you and your family.
Prayers for peace, strength , and comfort to you.
I'm so sorry for you and your Family's loss. It's beautiful to hear how music is helping you guys to begin to come to terms with what happened though... it is true I feel, God does use music in so many awesome ways, this being one. You and your family are in my thoughts & prayers. I was just thinking of a few friends that I have lost over the years and I think the next time I listen to "When it Rains"... it will be them that I think of rather than KR/ Joe C. - somehow, I don't think either would mind, I think they would both be honored. :)
Wow...that is incredible....
