That is a pretty cool story RSMS i didn't know that story bout Joe C and Kid. I remember hearing about Kid talking to Joe thinking he was a Kid and Joe C letting him know he wasn't.
It is crazy it has been 11 years...makes me think about ppl i have loved and lost along the way over the years. It does get better as time passes. I think about it now. The other night @ work someone i work with was talking about losing their brother tragically 6 years ago. I tried to tell them it gets better with time. Then i spoke a minute about losing my sister 4 years ago. To be honest we knew it was coming. Does it change it if you know? I really don't know? Pain is pain. I fight many demons over losing my sister. What if i had done this or that. Then i stop myself and remember i couldn't change her only she could...all i can do is deal with it and learn from it. And try to come to a peaceful place within me about it. And it still @ times bothers me...but i have gotten better with it. It doesn't bother me as much or as often.
So i hope Kid finds peace with it. If not now @ some point. Because when it rains it pours....these 4 years have been like living in a monsoon @ times...

I remember a few years back, I saw so many clips, etc with Joe C. I thought wow, was Kid Rock ever a Blessing to Joe C. Then reflecting on all that I had heard, saw to that point... I realized that they were to each other & still are.

Did you see the video of Orlando Calling and Atlanta when it was time for Joe C's part of the song a big picture of him drops down behind Kid and the audience sings Joe C's part. How fitting for Joe C's birthday and the Care tour.
I grew up Downriver, like Joe C. and Ty. There are really good people there-hardworking and just plain down to earth folks. I love the story how Kid saw Joe singing along with him at a show. A simple gesture turned into a beautiful friendship that changed both of their lives for the better.
These are important days, as we Celebrate and Thank God for sharing Joey with us.
Love never dies ~ GOD Is LOVE !
So while we hold warm thoughts and memories ~ let us feel this Blessed Assurance ~

We never quite get over losing the ones we love but with time and reflection we come to realize. Our lives are better for having been blessed with the presence. As a person we are better because they loved us and we loved them.
To lose someone so close to ones heart yet now they are so far away. The memories remain, times shared, the love that was there & still is. It never left. That day also marks a good day, the release of Born Free......So a sad day , but yet some joy is found later on down the line.
To everyone who has felt love enough to read this 'Discussion' ; and to those who have commented, my heartfelt thanks.
