Once upon a time, a Kid Rock show in Detroit was something all my people wanted to go to. It was the cool thing to do, the cool place to be, a good time for all. Now my mom wants to go, my aunt calls for tickets, and my teachers from High School frequent the shows. Once upon a time, he was a devil without a cause, now he is all religous during his shows, making me feel as if he is a zealot without a cause. The lyrics and content used to be on the edge, its what made him who he is, now its pathetic and same ole same ole. Why do I hold on?

I have tried four times to download a song and I never get it, I have left four messages with the company and got a call back from some women and I couldn't understand a damn thing she said! ok here's the deal. Kid is set to be honored by the NAACP on May 1st at Cobo in Detroit. Some douche bad named Adolph Mongo is planning a boycott because Kid flies the rebel flag at his concert. I say we show up and boycott his ignorant ass and show him our love for Kid. Honestly no matter who it is or what it is there will always be someone out there who is going to be pissed off and have shit to say when they honor someone. Kid does so much for his home town and the people who live in it no matter the race, religion, or back ground. Yet you have this jerk wanting to ruin the Great Expectations Award annual dinner. Why can't Mr. Mongo just be happy that there is someone with money and influence who is willing to help when and where he can.

I live in the Metro Detroit area, and just heard on the local news that some people in the Detroit area do not agree with the NAACP wanting to honor Kid Rock because he displays the Confederate Flag at his concerts! This is bull sh*t. The Confederate Flag as these ass's are putting it is a symbol of hate, racism, and slavery. To those who live in that sadly limited state of racial pity, of course it could mean only negative things. The Confederate Flag is a symbol of how the South is recognized, the states below the Mason-Dixon Line. To all of those idiots who don't know that and can't stand to allow someone to freely express pride in the symbol of the defined SOUTH, then f**k off. America, the land of free expression since 1776. Say HELL YEAH if you agree!

Kid was awesome as always in E'ville last night, but was it just me in thinking that Jamey Johnson was huge buzzkill? I went to party, not to cry in my beer...felt like i was in a hillbilly twilight zone...just sayin'....

@hotrod71...You're so right. When he thanked the audience for using their hard earned cash for the tickets I was blown away as well. And his costume changes...whoa...I loved the pimped out coat. I will def make another concert of Kid and the band. This was the best stage show I've seen yet.
went to show last night in eavnsville last night and have to say it was the best show ever and i have seen kid three times so far and this one blew me away loved every minute of it great show u rock man and i apreciate the way u thank your fans for buyin tickets u know most performers are all about the money and fame and dont realize that if it wasnt for the workin man they wouldn't have a crowd to put a show on for so keep on doin wat u do and will see u next time

I was at the concert in KY. They were selling leftover shirts from the concert in Detroit - the "Fuckin' 40" shirts .... they didn't have any in my size. I turn 40 tomorrow and I would LOVE to see those shirts available for purchase, and maybe in another color besides black - pink or white for us females who want options :)
