Summer event season is in full swing in the Quad City area. And as the events go on, so does severe weather.
Event organizers must plan for any possible weather conditions. Burlington Steamboat Days President and Des Moines County Sheriff, Mike Johnson, said organizers run through exercises with emergency management crews.
"We think of all possible scenarios that could happen at Steamboat Days," he said.

I tell everyone Kid Rock puts on the best shows I've ever seen. I'm a huge promoter and have been a fan for over 12 years! I really wanted to make it tonight's show, but 18" snow here in NWA is impossible to drive through. Please Please Please reschedule. I don't want to miss this tour!
My husband and I are huge Kid Rock fans! He does not go to concerts but I love them! So when I heard that Kid was coming, I thought what a great Christmas gift it would be for him!! Even though he loves Kid it has taken me since Christmas to get him excited about the concert. I was excited because we have 3 children and we never go anywhere with out them. So, we were going to dinner and then to the concert tonight! I was so Excited!! But we just took our Ranger out and it was very slick. With the snow still coming down and when night falls the roads will only get worse. We have had to make the discussion to cancel our evening and stay home with our children. I would hate to leave them without parents! Even though we love Kid and Jamey Johnson I can not justify going out tonight! I wish there was something that could change! Now my husband has no Christmas gift!

Terrible to make a decision to see Kid Rock or stay off roads and not regret a bad decision, ALL of Arkansas wants the chance to enjoy Little Rock show, safely and fun!
I have been to every concert that Kid Rock has had in Little Rock and I can't believe that ya'll would risk the lives of your fans. I certainly want to go but I don't want to DIE to get there! Refund every ones money or reschedule.
I have seen every concert in Little Rock and the snow is stopping me from this show. I would apprectiate a refund or a reschedule. For goodness sakes, there has already been 2 fatalities on the interstate in Little Rock. Why risk the lives of so many more?
Saw Kid Rock in Bossier last night and I gotta say there is no way I would let 6 inches of snow stop me from seeing him! C'mon Little Rock being an American is about being brave and tough, so please stop whinin about the roads, give yourself enough time, drive slow and safe, and have a good time! GO KID!!!!!

Everyone said exactly whats going on. Roads are closing everywhere. whoever makes this decision should consider the welfare of the fans as well as wanting to keep the fans he has. This will put a very bad taste in our mouth if he puts this show on tonight. USE SOME COMMON SENSE!!!

If you're not going to reschedule or cancel, at least refund tickets for the people that CAN NOT make it. This is not our choice, if roads are closed there is no possible way to make the show. This is ridiculous that something can't be done!

I feel like I am being robbed! I spent $170+ on 2 tickets for Kid Rock in Little Rock, and now there is 6 inches of snow on the ground and its still snowing. The highway patrol is telling everybody to stay off the road, but yet this show is still happening! This isnt the right way for us fans to be treated. I would be driving from over an hour away, but there is no way for me to get out in this mess. The temperature in supposed to be 9 degrees tonight, so the roads will be nowhere near passible. I wish Verizon Arena/Kid Rock would do the right thing and reschedule this show, or atleast refund the tickets that arent going to be able to be used. Times are tough these days, and being screwed out of money like this is ridiculous!

Roads are closing everywhere, so even if some of us wanted to make it there we can't. The Govenor has issued a state of emergency for the entire state of Arkansas, but yet our Born Free Kid Rock wants his fans to risk their lives to come to his show. I know some say they can make it, but those are the ones that will be in the ditch, hospital or worse.
Love ya Kid, but think about your fans and what is best for them.
They have already recieved their $ for the tickets, they will still loose alot of revenue because they wont have that many people who are able to make it, I really wish they would reschedule..but they wont, I got an email from a person who works at the arean and the band is already there setting up, and they said it was up to the preformer to cancel....looks like all the care about was selling that ticket.....

It is not about our safety they are worried about; it is more about the revenue Verizon Arena/owners do not wish to give up tonight nor Kid Rock. This says a lot about the owners of Verizon Arena and Kid Rock. I for one will not jeopardize my childs life nor myself for a concert to make someone elses wallet fatter while possibly causing harm to my child.
Little Rock is not prepared for snow like Detroit is Kid. Do the right thing and reschedule this show for your fans.
PLEASE!!!!!!!! Cancel the concert in Little Rock tonight. Roads are terrible and people don't know how to drive in this down here! Our lives are not worth the risk of driving. My soon to be Marine son may be gone before a re-schedule could take place and just throwing this money away is not a luxury for this military family.
I can not imagine anyone not canceling a concert where their fans (you know the ones that make you rich) are going to be putting their lives on the line. Many of these people do not have the extra money to not be able to get a refund. These are working class people who consider going to one of your concerts something special.
