I wanted to reach out to someone and tell you about my recent experience trying to purchase Pre-Sale tickets on Monday 11/22/10, for Kids Birthday Bash at Ford Field 1/15....
At 2:50p on Monday 11/22, I sat ready at my computer, credit card in hand...ready to purchase 2 tickets to the show.... at 3p the "Buy Tickets" button popped up. After I clicked the button, a page containing the seating chart tried and tried to load... It took several "re-freshes" and several minutes to load... (I have 8g of memory on my computer, so I know it wasn't an issue on my end..."
by the time the seating chart loaded, and I was able to type in how many tickets I wanted, my request came back as, "Sorry, there are not 2 seats available together in that price range...at this time it was about 3:05p.....so I continually tried different sections... same answer "Sorry, there are not 2 seats available together in that price range" and by 3:08 all the repeated requests, and re-waiting for the seating chart to load... everything came back as sold out.....
3:08.....and it appeared all the pre-sale tickets were gone......
I was so disappointed......and slightly peeved that Artist Arena ticketing system wasn't smoother..
The next day I checked ebay, wondering if any of the 1/15 Ford Field tickets had made it on an auction yet...and oh ya ...there were plenty to choose from. Alot of them had section, row numbers, etc... so I pulled up a yahoo search page to see if I could find a Ford Field Seating Chart... (cont...)
While browsing for that, I ran across web sites: gruvr.com, ticketstogo.com . I clicked on gruvr.com... TONS of tickets for the Kid 1/15 show! Tickets that were only supposed to be Pre-sale to FANS. Days before tickets were supposed to be available to the general public (Fri 11/26 10am) ! I couldn't believe it! ...AND, all the tickets I saw, were $100 more per ticket... Click on the "Tickets" button on gruvr.com web page. Towards the bottom of the page on the left hand side it says: " Powered by TicketsNow.... a TicketMaster Company..."
Are you kidding me?! So, let me get this straight.....TicketMaster sells the original ticket, somehow gruvr.com gets a huge amount of pre-sale tickets, they tack on $100 extra per ticket... gruvr.com is run by a Ticketmaster company... Do the math... Ticketmaster is selling the ticket twice. While me, a fan who just wants to see my fave Michigan boy, lost out on 2 pre-sale tickets after just eight minutes of sale...
I was so upset, and disappointed.... Seeing Kid in concert makes the short list, of things in my life that truly make me happy... I am so upset about the whole situation...Seems so crooked... I decided not to buy tickets at all... Sorry Kid.
I will have to wait until August 2011, and hope Kid comes back to Boyne Mtn..... He skipped us last August...

There was a show in Canada. It was great. Summer Fest by the Bridge during the summer of 2005... Don't feel bad they took an old candy shop out of Port and moved it for Gibson. I bet that was a good ticket price too. Herald mentioned several months ago I wonder how it really went.
I really enjoyed the Sunday wind and the warm moon listening to Born Free.My kids were sleeping. Did you know a Gibson can tell you its a Gibson. Wow , have fun whoever gets to go. Have fun.
I am another P.O. Fan!! Both of my attempts to purchase tickets for Ford Field, went sour from pre-sale & Black Friday Sale :( Not only was I trying to purchase tickets, but so was my friend. For a venue that holds 65,000 people & granted not all would be available due to staging, can't believe they sold out that quickly!! Radio stations should not get large quantities, when one can never get through!!!

Ebay has all the ticket's that no one can get on Ticketmaster today... NO DETROIT for me..... Check out how much there going selling for, it's really a shame. One on there is for over $9000.00, I kid you not... (no pun intended) I was on Tickemaster all day, and nothing... now I know why. It's really a shame, that it's sold out. I hope for all the fan's like me, it would be taped so the one's that couldn't get ticket's would be able to see the great show that we will sadly miss.... :( Hopefully you'll come to Pittsburgh and we'll be able to see you guy's!

I saw you twice the last time you toured in Cincinnati OH and Indiana...for my birthday & it was awesome. We own a bar called the Double Deuce. It's in Dayton OH. We're having a BEFORE & AFTER party on the night of the concert on 29 Jan at the Nutter Center. We have a party bus for the bar that we're taking everyone on. Everyone is excited and can't wait! Would be SUPER KOOL if you came by after the concert!!! I'd probably have heart failure if you walked in.... Dear Kid Rock, You have some very upset fans. Ford Field fucked us all over this morning when we went down there and braved the cold to stand in line and buy tickets. Ford Field ticket booth sent us all over town claiming they weren't selling tickets to your show there. Some of us stood in line across the street by the Gem theater where we were told tickets would be sold only to be told 5 minutes after tix went on sale that they weren't being sold there and we had to go back to Ford Field to buy tickets only now we were last in line. We didn't move for 15 minutes and then the show was sold out. And now we're fucked. How bout you play a venue next time that actually cares about your fans ok?! Total bullshit.

Kid, You are only one in a handful of artists that truly move me. Honest to God! I can't believe I am on a doggone website writing to a singer. The last time I felt compelled to make contact to an entertainer was when I got a copy of Tiger Beat in 1975 to write to Donny Osmond and The Bay City Rollers. I feel it and get what you are trying to convey and you have most definitely made an impression. Not only do your songs bring out difficult to emerge emotions, but they have gosh darn SUBSTANCE!!! Wow!! I have a friend who is 53 years old with songs and lyrics out the ying-yang that are unbelievable and never recorded!
