    Kid Rock "Born Free" Tour Is Coming!

    Kid Rock announces today the first 3 months of his “BORN FREE” tour that comes in support of his new album that hits stores today. The kickoff of the tour comes in the form of a 40th birthday party Kid Rock is throwing for himself with 60,000 of his closest friends, at Detroit’s Ford Field, home of the Detroit Lions football team. The stadium will be renamed “40 Field” in honor of the occasion. The special show will include surprise guests and plenty of surprises. Tickets for the Detroit celebration will go on sale November 26th, tickets for the tour will go on sale December 3rd and 4th depending on the market through all the usual outlets.

    As usual Kid Rock will be backed by his own excellent Twisted Brown Trucker Band. Following the Detroit celebration the tour wraps around the country, hitting arenas throughout the country with this first leg of the tour ending March 12th in Memphis, TN. This is just the beginning of a busy touring year for Kid Rock, who plans to add more dates later in the year. The headlining tour will also feature very special guest Jamey Johnson, whose new album “The Guitar Song” has been drawing rave reviews from fans and critics alike.

Tried for three hours yesterday with presale passwords for Detroit tickets. I live in Detroit and could not get anything. Was looking for 2 of the top seats.....nothing! Sad that today there are hundreds of tickets on Craigslist.com....and the people that wanted them for themselves got nothing! Sorry Kid, won't make it to this one I guess.

I know this concert will be great....but it is just hard for me to believe it can be better than "The Salute to the Troops" ! I was so glad my friend and I drove down to see it. It was absolutely wonderful! It was an honor to watch all of those young men and women training to fight for us!!!!! An experience I will never forget!

wish I could make it to your birthday bash, would love to meet ya in person and party and have some fun, BUT dont have the money to go to Detroit . I live in Ok down near the texas border (90 min from dallas) , and with the economy right now, just aint got the money to spare. Hope you come to Dallas or the choctaw casino in durant oklahoma during your tour. then maybe i can get backstage passes and get to meet ya in person. have always loved your music. have got every cd you have made :D have an awesome 40th bday. Can't wait to see you in Dayton, O-H-I-O! Thanks for booking the Nutter Center instead of Hara Arena. The Nut House is much nicer and has more beer stands! Sure hope there will be some Canadian tour dates added soon!! Specifically in Alberta....went to both shows you had here and loved every minute. Btw, your performance on the American Music Awards was amazing!!! One of the best of the night.

There's a lot of us Michigan folks here in NC. And we really like the new album. Last one was good too. People say you'll lose a lot of your fans, but your reaching more of the older 40-50s crowd over here. Could dig seeing you live, but the econmy has hurt my wallet a bit, and R&R doesn't seem to be hurting judging by the tic prices. Oh, well, I saw you a couple time as an opener back in the 90's in Detroit. Peace
