Now get in the pit and try to love someone.
I was just wondering if any have heard of a possible release by date for Kid Rock's next new album? This website is so fading out now...people have lost interest one by one, which is what always happens once a current album begins to die out, no radio play, no tour, etc..
To each their own...but a band wagon fan I'm not, and it's difficult for me to comprehend how so many can be all over a website declaring their loyal fanship & undying love for Kid Rock while an album is charting, then disappear once that album begins to die out.
Don't tell me they are still loyal loving fans who simply don't have time to occasionally particpate now with the fan club website, cause they had plenty of time when R&RJ was climbing the charts, receiving radio play, etc..
I wonder if this website will close soon like KRAA did once Pain Train & Live Trucker faded out, no more touring, etc.? Then another re-open with the release of a new album?

Latest news from his hometown paper, dated yesterday::
http://extremekr.proboards.com/index.cgi?board=news&action=display&threa...
" The title and release date are mum, but Kid Rock will follow his triple-platinum 2007 Rock N Roll Jesus album with a set produced by Grammy Award-winner Rick Rubin and, if past practice is an indicator, keep his Twisted Brown Trucker Band rolling on the road again. Look for a wider rollout of his American Bad Ass beer brand too."
I'm here! Please don't close it down. It's me, not you! I will never leave willingly!
Hell, I dunno, haha. I don't know much of anything about International Law, never been out of the US...the cruise will be a first for me. I know Kid Rock stated there would be BadAss Beer aboard, so assume either 6thman or his legal staff have taken care of any International legalities, such as licensing.
I won't cancel the cruise because of beer, haha. It's gonna have to be a matter of life or death for me to cancel, lol. I've too much invested at this point I'd lose completely out on, but more importantly...I wouldn't miss the chance to share the cabin and cruise with Arlene, Ricky, and others who are dear to my heart. :)
Jade, it's certainly a the label's official fan club is good investment if you can use the presale ticket option and get great seats for tours. Happened to me and quite a few others over the last couple of years. Great seats. Or no seats, they sell out fast.
The current membership offers two levels, a package with shirt, laminate card, etc., and an access to forum/presale only for quite a bit less cash.
Up to you. I say if you have the money, join and patronize a great live band.

Hah. Watch them make a liar out of me. Billboard's been sold and moving out their offices just this week. Not much "work" getting done. If anyone can get an answer from a real person, great: 646-654-4400 or 4500. You go to Billboard Mag thru the corporate giant Nielson, lol.
Wonder if the beer is licensed for international waters? Sure wouldn't cancel the trip if not.
Do you run the one Angel posted the link to that I was unfamiliar with? Not that it matters, I was just curious since it claimed to be an "official" site, if indeed it was endorsed by Kid Rock...or simply a self proclaimed "official" site by those who founded it.
Thanks Ronny for adding that. I feel much better now!
Thanks blue aka Jocelyn! I didn't know that tidbit of info about Billboard and timespan! My gut is telling me the new CD will be released in coordination with the Cruise...that would make perfect sense really, related to celebrating it's release and with major publicity. Not only that...but from what I understand...the ship will be stocked with BadAss beer too! Which is another great way to promote not only the new CD, but Kid's new beer among fans! :)
How great to hear the community will not be shutting down! I know I don't post ALL the time, but I do enjoy it when I get time to get on.
Happy New Year Ronny! What's your take on a CD release date?
Cannot wait to see how many versions he rolls out this time, LOL! Jesus had five official CD versions released, correct?
Annie, that's the last piece of verifiable news on the release date, as far as I know. If true, one would think the CD should break on the cruise for maximum publicity (and hopefully, tres positive fan reviews).
Historically, Billboard has run an article on he, the band and the new CD, about 3 months prior to release over the last couple CDs. If that article is released promptly in January, 2010, I'd expect to see product arrive on store shelves in the Spring. And a tour to follow. Woohoo.
Nothing behind the scenes. I run all of Rock's websites except the Kid Rock Congregation.
Thanks for the feedback.
Thank you Ronny--its good to hear. And thanks for all the behind the scenes work you must do for this forum.
cheers, & happy new year!
I like the boards, cuz I feel I have met some really great people. To me that's all that matters. And sure yeah drama can spice it up once in awhile, but damn sometimes it gets to be too much.
Thank you! That is music to my ears! I'm just paranoid after what happened at KRAA when it slowed way down, and so on. Hey, at least this discussion stimulated some activity, hahaha. :)
I agree Connie Jo. Message boards are just like Reality Shows. The more Drama, The more peeps tune in. Some just to complain about the drama. hahahahahahahaha
I joined for the historic fan club shirt. I was impressed enough with the laminate, that I turned it into a Christmas ornament for my tree! :)
I've never been one to do the pre-sales, so that isn't a factor for me. I can get more preferrable seats on Ebay through brokers that I'm familiar with, than I can from the pre-sales, so don't bother with the frustration or time of pre-sales. I'm spoiled now, as are many others who have been within the first 5 rows of a Kid Rock concert...once you've been up close like that...you'll never want anything less...the close up energy, seeing every detail of expressions on Kid and TBT's faces...is worth every cent. I don't attend as many concerts as some...quality over quantity for me, & I'd rather go to a couple being in front of the stage, with more friends in attendance. I can't afford to have it both ways.
On the website Angel posted a link to, that I was unfamiliar with until she did...I read some of their news, and they stated the new album is suppose to be out the end of 2009 or early 2010. Obviously it didn't make it by the end of 2009, so hopefully early 2010.
We felt the same way when they decided to close KRAA Annie...why not just update to promote the new album, rather than shut it down. However...the old KRAA boards would be obsolete today in technology by comparison to this Ning site...so that's a positive for changing. The problem really was it was almost 2 yrs between shutting down KRAA, the official fan forums, and opening KRC. Overall this is a much better site in a variety of ways.
Jade...you're right, it was very difficult for Kid's family to be involved, especially no doubt reading many bash Kid Rock for this and that with much disrespect constantly when something didn't go their way. Like if they didn't get front row seats in a pre-sale. People/fans...are really naive & un-educated when it comes to the inner workings of concerts, venue management & by laws, etc.. Kid Rock himself has very little control over concert venues, ticket sales, etc.. KRAA management was bombarded constantly with complaints, many very disrespectful according to what I was told by some close behind the scenes.
Originally Kid had stated he wanted those closest to him, his family & close friends, to be the ones managing the fan club...believing it would keep him closer in touch with his fan's. It did, but it was too much for them overall, especially when drama broke out, and they were bombarded with nasty & disrespectful emails, or constant nit picking too. It amazed me what some would send emails to management complaining about...totally childish, pettiness, etc.
The administration and management of this website...is indeed much better for all and improved in many ways. I just hate change, and the pattern of change with Kid Rock's previ
The Official Kid Rock Community will not be shutting down.
i joined to get the t-shirt the laminet, the cheap tickets to see him and for the love of him
This past summer there was something about a album being released spring of 2010, I wish I could find that article. But you know how that goes, they say Spring when they really mean Fall, lol just saying cuz of the last album seemed like it took forever.
I really hope this place doesn't shut down, I mean all they need to do is change the theme for the next album rather then closing it down.
I joined to just get the T-Shirt and laminate. Other then that it might all depend on how many concerts you goto and so forth. Since he doesn't really come near me to often, it really isn't worth it for me, since I didn't get to see him this past year. But it's worth it if you go to a lot of shows or at least more then 1 show to get the presales, jmo.
PS. is it worth it to join the fan club? is that forum active? how many of you all are actually fan club members?
this is all pretty interesting history, most of which I didn't know at all.
Just from my experiences on forums for the last 14 years or so, I would think it would be hard for a family member to run one of these sites. Too much drama and if people know its a family member of KR, that person would get bombarded with crap. Its better to have someone paid to do it like a marketing effort.
I hope this site doesn't get closed down... that would be sad!
Well, I think the first couple of official fan clubs were more local...Michigan, and also Eastern States, of which in his early days he had done well, prior to MTV helping to spiral DWAC to more Nationwide success. However, KRAA likely had as many members from the Southern region as the Northern, including Michigan...quite a few from the West Coast region as well. The region with the least amount of members was the Midwest...my region.
I think at peak membership at KRAA was over 5,000, which by comparison to here is quite a bit less, yes. Kid Rock had a falling out with one of Atlantic's sister companies, of which was in charge of promoting Pain Train...Kid Rock blamed them for the poor sales of Pain Train, saying they didn't promote the album the way they should have...rather focused their time and money on other artists. He fired them. KRAA was managed by Kid's sister, Carol, and of course Shakes and Kid's mom helped out too. Shakes was engaged to Carol, later they married, but it didn't last, they divorced. KRAA's management was a family affair...as to where these new KRC fan clubs are not.
Of course as is here, only a small percentage of the total membership at KRAA posted on a regular basis. More in the beginning as I said, then as time passed, Pain Train and Live Trucker not doing well in sales, no tours, no word of a new album...KRAA slowed way down too. There was drama as well, and I know Carol was tired of being emailed about it from the complainers...many of which treated her with much disrespect, all considered. The pattern was that drama increased when there wasn't any new music or tour to discuss, so other subjects were discussed more often, many controversial, which led to drama.
You are correct...research has shown that drama on interactive websites is common, regardless of website type...and that members become more active when drama is present, both in posting and in lurking. It's human nature...that's why reality shows, soap
No clue Connie Jo. I havent participated on it. 3 plus FB and Myspace are enuf for me lol I just know it exists plus the german website which is cool too.
It is my opinion that back in the day of KRAA the fanbase was much smaller and more local. Kid Rock is now HUGE and will never be small potatos again. He will always have an active fan club whether new album, on tour or whatever. In all the time I have been on KR boards, KR isnt what keeps them active. Hes kind of a sideline. lol Its the peeps posting that keep things hoppin. Unfortunately many officials and fans dont get that...........
You want high ratings on a fan Board.? Start some shit...... lol
Hey Angel...where did this website come from? This is the first I've known of it's existence...how long has it been around? Who started it? There doesn't appear to be forums. Also, how can it be called the official fan club...krc.com I thought is the official fan club? Here it is called the official community.
http://www.kidrock.cc/index.php
Sorry...didn't mean to stir y'all, hahaha. It's just that this has been the pattern. KRAA was the 3rd official Kid Rock website to close after an album faded out, tours stopped with promoting the album.
Angels correct, there are always Kid Rock related websites to move to and keep in touch, such as I mentioned with EKR. Still, it's not the same for me...many don't move over to another website for long. I guess they want official or nothing, I dunno.
I don't know about it being slow because of the holidays, however. I'm sure that's part of it, but based upon the participation history at KRAA...it was more people were bored with no new album or tour happening. There's only so much one can discuss with no new music or tour related to Kid Rock.
Easy does it there peeps. For the last 6 yrs that I have been around there has always been an active Kid Rock board. There are currently 4 plus Myspace lol
Its slow right now because of the holidays. Peeps are busy with LIFE. It will pick up again after the first. lol
