Hey y'all! YEEHAW! We're now less than 50 days from boarding the Chillin The Most Cruise Ship!!
Last September I started a blog for us to become familiar with all those KRC member's who will be going on the cruise, but rather than bump that outdated blog...I thought it might be better to begin a new one in the discussion forum this time...since it is definitely Kid Rock related, lol.
I know from reading cruise related comments over the months both here at KRC and at Facebook, that some who originally had made reservations had to end up cancelling, others took over those reservations. All changes considered, let's update the list of member's who will definitely now be aboard the Kid Rock and TBT Chillin The Most Cruise Ship!!
I'll start...me and my friend Arlene aka Achava, have retained our original cabin reservations and will be aboard! Our friend Ricky aka Romeo and his friend Donny, have retained their cabin reservation and will still be aboard also. We're all long timeKid Rockin friends from the formerKRAA fan club, as well as members ofKRC too. We're flying in to Tampa the day before, on the 28th...each from a different city, but we coordinated our flight plans to arrive as close as possible to one another, since we're sharing the same hotel room at the Marriott Portside, where Sixthman arranged a cruise goer's group discount.
Okay...so who else? Let's get this KRC fan clublist updated!! YEEHAW!! :)
Sweet and original...very classy

My satin pj's and furry slippers idea to salute our favorite, one and only, drummer didn't work : (However, I like these two themes just as good. We are always to the extreme. Gene's been Pimped.. ~ thanks to ebay...lol And, I'm going for the Dolly look ~ Best lil Ho' house in Texas : )~
I remember reading your Stef slippers theme idea, and giggled thinking it would be fun to do a theme related to dressing as various members of TBT...Stef in her slippers, lol. I didn't realize that was YOU at the time though with the different user name...Chillinthemost...right? hahaha I realized later on reading elsewhere it was you by recognizing something posted only you would know or say, lol. I thought...oh shoot, that's Beckxy!! :)
Well, as of right now unless I change my mind, haha...I was leaning towards a 60's go-go girl look, haha. I have a black leather short skirt I can wear, but not really a mini mini, haha...which I'd likely be uncomfortable if too short. It's called a 'tattoo skirt', even the tatt aspect is leather, well hell...I have the Ebay listing pic from when I bought it on Ebay, I'll post & show rather than try to describe. I think it is somewhat suited, if I put black fishnet stockings with it, and a blouse...but need to buy some black patent shiny go-go girl type boots, cause I'd fall on my ass in stiletto's, lol. The remainder of dressing up would just be maybe some gawdy jewelry detail, lot's of make up I suppose and big hair, haha. I'm not too familiar with transforming myself into a 'ho' look...considering my bit of conserv
Hey there my fellow Kid Rockers!
I'll be staying at the Marriott for 2 nights before and for 1 night when we get back. I'm thinking about riding my bike down, so if anyone is up for a road-trip, maybe we can set up meeting points along I95 and roll into Tampa, rumbling & revved up ready to rock!! Hey Bob, If you are reading this, How cool would it be, rolling into Tampa at the head of the pack with your loyal legion trailing behind you?! Now that's what I call Rock & Roll Baby!!!! That would be Rock history right there. I couldn't think of a better entrance for a Rock & Roll legend than that!! If anyone is interested, there is a parking garage next door that One of the Marriott employees told me would be safe & secure for the bikes while we're at sea. And if you haven't done so yet, friend request me on FB so we can get to know each other before we get there. I can't wait to meet & party with everyone, You all seem so cool. Until then, I'm just gonna Roll On..

thats funny sounds like you got it all planned out haha lmao good one

Man, you guys are getting me all excited thinking about it - I can't wait! My friend and are I were talking about just doing the beach thing. I've done cruise excursions before, and although fun, it has been rushed in the past for me, and I usually wind up saying to myself that I wished I had just chilled on the ship - so the beach thing sounds about right for me! But I haven't made up my mind yet, like you guys I am waiting to see what comes up - wasn't there a discussion somewhere about sixthman putting something together like a beach picnic area? I don't know, but if they do, that is most likely where I will be!
My pirate costume is mostly complete, and I'm starting to work on the pimp/ho one. LOL I am struggling with that one, as I usually dress down, I'm a flip flops, shorts & t-shirt girl, so I want to be comfortable, but still have fun dressing up. Connie Jo - I LOVE to sew, but I'm not very good at it. I was never taught, a few years ago I saved up for a sewing machine, and figure it out as I go. I mostly just hem/alter my clothes, but I have managed to make a few baby quilts to give as presents, and they turned out pretty good! I am planning on making some things to wear for the costumes, which will be my first time actually making clothes to wear, so we will see how it goes -I figure it's a costume, so it won't have to be perfect! Beckxy - the scooters are appealing to me too - I didn't think about that before, so that really may be something to check into...We too are going to be staying at a time share the week before the cruise (in Orlando), so we won't be making it any of the parties in Tampa, but that's ok, I know everyone will let us join the par-tay when we get there!
It's getting close people - I am heading out on the 23rd, just about 6 weeks away! WOO HOO
Your so awsome Connie Jo. I can't wait to meet ya!
Connie Jo said:Oh my, I've not even thought about what to do on the island! We're only there for a few hours, so know not too in depth activity can be planned. Besides, I've heard those adventure things like snorkling are rather costly, and I for one will be on a limited budget, haha. Also, I've not talked to Arlene in depth about her idea's of what to do...I tend to think we're both just go with the flow personalities...let come what may, so to speak, haha. I dunno yet, haha...will wait and see what Arlene has in mind. I personally just like the idea of doing whatever comes, not making any definite plans that might limit deciding to do something else that comes up, ya know? ~Freestyle~ :)The turtles sound fun! I'm hopeful there will be many souvenir's to choose from as far as on the island, since it's a big tourist resort...souvenir's from nature too! I'm hoping to bring back as a souvenir for myself...a jar of beach sand, lol.
I know I want to have fun and I know I want to relax-I'm not sure? I know i want to drink and have a good time!
Beckxy said:Connie, thanks for the nice comment.. glad to make you smile. Can't wait to hang with you more, as well. Gonna be a treat. Yep.. 2005 sounds about right, Hurricane weather and the most beautiful rendition of Jackson, Mississippi I will ever remember being played on the TBT stage.. with dedication to Dillon.Very much looking forward to seeing you. Can't contain our excitement here.Susan.. we looked thru the excursions, and it's exactly what we were thinking of doing. I wanna go to Hell...lmao. Nah.. but it seems like the best thing to do... ya get a lil of everything, since we were never there.. plus you get to drive a jeep.. on the wrong side of the road.. looks as if that may be the shizzle. However, we decided to wait to book it until the last moment, at this time. I don't wanna committ to anything, just yet. I hear they have scooters you can rent.. which would def be appealing to me.. but the jeep excursion is Space limited .. so if we don't get to do that one.. we may just do the beach one... or find a moped rental place.

When I was there in 89 I found this guy who carved tutles and he would burn your name into the belly of them. My friends son loved it and carried it forever. Corsett are sexy! I have a few from the old days. Wish I could wear them again :) I'm really looking forward to meeting all of you. On the island what's everybody doing? We were thinking the Jeep tour?? I've hung with dolphins already, booze crusie and snoorkeling. My hubby loves snorkeling! I get so lost looking down there I always get water in my snorkel. Then the captian gives the "Diver u OK? If you don't signal back he's in the water to get ya. So embarassing.LOL Let me know what ya all are planning. HUGS

You and Beckxy both bring giggles with your posts and help encourage my getting excited for the cruise! I can't wait to see Beckxy again...it's been tooooooooo long! I'll get to party with her much more this time than I did last time, which was back in Birmingham 2005...FIVE years ago!!! I'm excited to get to meet you Susan aka Lady Viper, your personality on the forums definitely tells me you will be much fun to be around! :)

Yeah, I wouldn't be comfortable in a mini mini either...I'm not that graceful, too much of a tomboy or cowgirlish, whatever, lol. That's awesome you're making your own! The pirate theme costume I assume is the one you're sewing...since you noted you weren't sure on the 'Ho' yet? I've not even thought much about the Pirate one yet...just began thinking about the 'ho', haha. I figure since the Pimp n Ho theme was my suggestion originally posted at 6thman...I should probably dress for it, lol.
I sew too! I began sewing in grade school. Back then schools still had dress codes...wasn't until the year after I graduated from high school that girls were allowed to wear pants, so I grew up making many of my school dresses. I'd earn money washing neighborhood windows with vinegar & newspaper, LOL...as well as babysitting, etc....then take my earnings to the local 5 & Dime, or a K-Mart...buy fabrics, notions, patterns. I had my grandma's hand me down Singer treadle machine to start with, then bought mys

We're planning on making the pre-parties too! I've not looked at the Gasper's website or pics, but everyone is talking great about it, so no doubt we'll have fun! I'm hoping they'll let us in at the earlier party, we arrive later on the 28th...party starts at 3:00 goes till 8 before moving over to Gasper's is what I understand. Earliest I think we can feasibly be at the first party will be around 6 PM...which still gives us two hours to party there, haha. :)

OH! I didn't think about a boa! That's a good idea! Thanks! :) I think I might have a red one, maybe a black one...I bought them to use in holiday decor once upon a time...red for Chiefs garland (feathers relating to a Native American theme)...black was for Halloween. I have some vintage black suede arm gloves...gloves to the elbow, covers hands, but the type that didn't have fingers...remember those?...they have silver studs on them too...wonder if those might add a bit of whimsy, haha.

I want opinions on the skirt...suited or not for such a theme? It looks longer than it is on the dummy, haha...it's about 6" above my knee when on.
omy goshconnie that sounds soooo fun i think im better suited to dress as the madamn of the hoes lol

The new format here, yet again changed, is totally confusing me, which isn't difficult to do these days, lol.
OOPS! I'm fairly sure you can blame me for the "Pimp n Ho" theme night on the cruise, lol. Back in October I think it was...there was a discussion at Sixthman's 'Chillin The Most Cruise' info website & forums. The discussion related to idea's for the theme nights. I suggested a theme night of Pimp's and as I called them, 'Ladies of the Night', haha. I said I thought that would be a most appropriate theme for a Kid Rock cruise, considering Kid is "The Pimp of the Nation", haha. As well, his often wearing pimpin style clothes...furs, bling, and Fedora's. I also posted pics of Kid in his furs, including one from the VH1 Christmas Special where he's in his white fur, signature red Fedora, and has some girls standing around him somewhat dressed as ladies of the night, lol. Apparently the Sixthman cruise organizers liked my suggestion, as I was the only one who suggested such...so I'm taking the credit and the blame for the "Pimp n Ho's" theme night...sorry! hahaha :)
i hear ya good storey
that is a once in a life time

I just noticed someone else started a similar discussion, lol. Oh well, I'll leave my discussion up, since it's info I'm trying to gather to forward along to others. :)
Hey Bernetta! Thanks for the update! My group should be arriving at the Marriott around 6ish PM the 28th...allowing time for luggage retrievals at the airport. I'm sure we'll run into each other at some point, though according to the 6thman website there are over 400 taking the Chillin Cruise staying at the Marriott, most planning to attend the pre-party, and I think others staying elsewhere are joining others at the Marriott too...since the rooms reserved by 6thman sold out quick. I'm glad Arlene got our reservation in early, haha. Many aren't fan club members I don't think though...rather 6thman music cruise fans that go on many of their music cruise's from what I gather by reading. There is some interest among us members as to how many actual fan club member's will be aboard, which is what I'm trying to gather up from this discussion, haha. I look forward to meeting you and your hubby too! :)
I will be there for the pre party too Connie, my husband and I are driving down from Detroit on the 24th and visiting family until wed.the 28th when we head down to Tampa ,looking forward to all the festivities! Trust me when I say we need a vacation so desperately.I will look forward to meeting you at some point.
