“Porn Parade”
She was only sixteen
Looking for the California dream
Untouched so beautiful
Skin just like cream
Went to rehearsal
To shoot her first scene
Wound up in the back room
Down on her knees
Used to be kind of fun
But now she’s all used up inside
Made some money, bought some drugs
Lot’s of forgotten drunken nights
Tells her boyfriend lies
Can’t look him in the eyes
When she looks in the mirror
What she sees she despises
Sadie had it made
No, she never should have strayed
Innocence lost, look at how much it cost
Porn Parade, Porn Parade
As the camera starts to roll
This child Sadie
I'd like to but I've never been to concert. Had a few drinks in his honor which ended up a rip roaring good time.
I have seen alot of KR and TBT shows...but a dream of mine was to be front row ...Last July 4th my dream came true :) I was in the pit and right up by the stage for Kid Rock and Lynard Skynard...
Of course, LS was an awesome show and it was truly unreal to be seeing them, cuz I remember when my step-sis had their first album (yes LP)..that is how I came to know them. It was so cool (as well as sad) to see the "In Memory" photos that they showed for the deceased members. I had tickets when Billy passed...and I really missed seeing him at the show...the piano just wasnt the same.
When Kid and TBT came out....I was just in shock at how close I was!.I know that seems silly...but Kid was right in front of me...I just covered my mouth in shock..lol It was unreal.
I mean yes, I think Kid is good looking and sexy..no doubt...but I do admire him as a person as well as a musician. I think he has alot of talent, heart, and compassion..and he has never denied who he truly is or where he comes from. Plus, he worked his ass off to get where he is.
Regardless to say...I totally enjoyed the show...and my only regret was that I didn't bring the bouquet of red, white, and blue roses..with a flag in the middle....to throw up on stage. I wanted to do that cuz I admire his patriotism (sp) and the love of our great USA!
Thank you guys for all the responses. Im glad it gave everyone a little time to reflect on past experiences. Good Luck on the cruise guys. Im still waitin on the concert dates to be released. Gonna be a big concert year for me..
Well Beckxy,
It was something I always wanted to do. I drove three hours out of my way on vacation for that photo. Nobody really understood why I wanted to do it. " My soul is made of lyrics" and nobody did it better than Ol' Hank Sr.

After almost 40 shows over the course of 10 years, there's some things that I hold sacred... like the friends we've met along the way, all sorts of friends ; ) Ain't nothing like sharing your love for this band's music with people that love the same thing. Now, some people just don't get it.. how ones love for a show "music, friends, and good times" could withstand so many years... but we love it... some may even call that obsessive. "But f%ck 'em they don't know the half of it"
Something I'd never forget......... "there's many of them"
The one and only time we've ever got to see Joe C on stage was at our second show.. he was sick and didn't come out the first time we'd ever saw Kid Rock and Twisted Brown Trucker. He came out in a Hawian shirt and kahki shorts.. he came out to do DWAC.. and stuck around for awhile for the rest of the show. It was the only time I'd ever gotten to see him.
Our first show... Powerman 5000 opened up for them. They blew me away.. I'd already loved the song "When Worlds Collide".. but it's was pure blood-pumping energy.. then Twisted Brown Trucker came out... and blew it up a couple notches more. They did covers on Fortunate Son.. and We're an American Band. Back then.. the whole band did a lot jammin out.. ie, Conductor's Jam.
Speaking of Jams... there was this one time we drove to Maine after a Boston show in 2004.. Opener Whitestarr's last day.. Kenny Olson came out and jammed out with Dickey Bett's son... who was in the band at the time.
Then we got Dickey Betts who
I fully understand that, the shows were a blast but when things change and money is tight you have to decide what is more important. We really love Casino shows so if he does one in this area we will be there, but the traveling is a thing of the past.

I have a understanding of what you mean when you say.. getting older and wiser.. and slowing down. Just financially wise, Gene and I have been doing for a long time "spending our hard earned money" to go to shows and vacations around the shows... that when the cruise came up... ultimate vacation / Kid Rock n TBT show. However, we are now in our mid thirties.. rent and don't own a home, spend all of our savings on having a good time. I need to go back to school as for the kind of house we would want.. we couldn't afford on our salaries. So for us... the cruise is going to be about reflection, and where we are going in the our future.. which means having to slow it down to perhaps one show per tour. The cruise is turning out to be an ending of one chapter for us, and a starting of a new one.

Oh I am not saying that we will never go to another show, I just don't think we will travel to see him. After Mike having his heart attack we have sort of put the house completion top priority, and with me finishing school its like a turning point to another direction in life.

I'm older than you, and I'm told I'm wise...so assume it's true, but being old & wise ain't gonna stop me from attending Kid Rock & TBT concerts with every opportunity I can feasibly!! The music is too deeply embedded in my bones, and I literally have withdrawals after so long of not attending a concert! In fact, it's been a year & a half since my last Kid Rock & TBT live show...I'm taking care of my withdrawals and then some...should last me a while with going on The Chillin The Most Cruise, hahahaha.
Besides, the way I look at it...is if ya sit ya rust, and investing in emotional well being having fun once in a while & cutting loose once in a while related to the music, the man & his band I admire & enjoy so much... is a wise investment indeed! In my wisdom however, I do keep my fun & cutting lose investment between the lines as much as possible...if ya catch my drift, lol. I figure life throws us enough uncontrollable bad circumstances and battles...I don't need to create my own, hahaha. :)

It was the Boyne Mountain show this past summer. I waited in line almost 7 hours to be front row. I met some amazing people that I still talk to today. While waiting in line I got the privelage of seeing Marlon and Jason, put couldn't get any photo because cameras we not allowed. I also got to listen to the sound check since we were their so early. Our group was singing along and having a blast! The wait paid off because I was front row at a standing room only show. During Amen when Kid would shake peoples hand I was trying to reach for his. I was so close but couldn't reach. He went to grab mine but couldn't reach so he waved and went hey baby! It was great. It was one of the best shows I had ever been to. It was a beautiful night in Northern Michigan and I will not be forgeting it any time soon.
I've always been about quality over quantity with attending the live concerts...& keep it to a couple per tour or so, depending upon finances & feasibility. I choose the shows I can make the most out of...including choosing the ones I have more of my closest Kid Rock related friends attending as well. The Chillin Cruise is a once in a lifetime opportunity...ain't no doubt about it!!
YEEHAW!! MF'ers Let's ROCK!!
~gonna rock that ship up and down the coast!!~ :)

I laughed out loud when Ricky posted...I laugh out loud usually when Ricky posts! His sense of humor is unmatched at times, hahahaha. :)
I was suppose to be at the Boyne show...but had to cancel that trip. :(

Awesome concert story Jade!! Everyones were, and I love reading the concert stories!
I remember the first show I attended on the R&RJ tour, and when he did Amen asking everyone in the audience to shake hands, love one another, etc.. It definitely reminded me of being in Church, since they do the same, hahaha...at least the Churches I've attended do.

It really is the best live show that I have ever seen, before or since, so it holds special meaning for me. Also, just know that audiences of any kind in NYC can often suck, whether its movies, modern dance, broadway or live music--people can be exceptionally rude and aggressive here, and can be really disrespectful to the performers.. Its kind of an uphill battle here, but this show was such an exception....First of all, the venue (Terminal 5)was completely great, despite some negative reviews I've seen of it online. Its really pretty small, with a small stage--it looks like more of a dance club than anything else. There was no seating--all standing room general admission. But that all meant that we were all VERY close to KR and the band. Because the stage was so small, KR and TBT were right up front and just a foot or two away from the audience. I was about 4 people away from him so everything was easy to see--which was all good....KR played for a little more than 2 hours if I remember correctly, which seemed like a long time. He, and the band, were completely on--he bantered with the audience, floated between songs easy weaving covers into his own music, and just was so full of energy that it was a great show. He laughed when people gave him bottles of booze and lace panties, saying that NY knows how to show love.
Oh sweetie...you ain't been to a concert party till you been to a Kid Rock and TBT concert party, hahahaha. GO TO A SHOW!! You won't forget it!! Although, the newer shows are much different than shows of Kid's early career years, not quite the same theme of energy...still, no other artists concert can be compared...not in my mind anyway. :)

But I have to say that in the few years I've been a fan, I've met the most amazing online friends!

My daughters and son-in-law took me to his show in Mi. They just think its great that this ole mom, loves Kid!! First concert in maaaany years and it was fantastic!!! Would love to go to everyone of them. I had the best time in a long time,,,,time to let loose,,and have fun.....DEFINITELY will be going again. Never too old for great music and entertainment. His shows are the best.

But one of the things that happened that was pretty funny, and makes me remember this show
I'll be telling a really, really, really long story with likely 10 chapters after I return from the Chillin The Most Cruise!!! How in the hell can one not tell about such an experience in depth when it's a Kid Rock Concert party that begins with hotel pre-parties on the 28th and doesn't stop until May 3rd? HA!
As far as past experiences...well, no experience to date has excelled past that of the Southern Shows..."The Lazy Mutha Fu**a Tour!" of 2005! Specifically show #2 of 3...the Birmingham concert. It was an outdoor venue and a tropical storm moved in the day before. Didn't matter...the sold out venue remained sold out...even with the tropical downpours. Kid Rock stayed right out front on the catwalk for a majority of his performance exposing himself to the same rains we fans were. There's so much depth to that concert experience, and I'm so brain tired...I can't write about it all. I will tell you this...there were well over 100 of us KRAA fan club members (including spouses)...that road tripped & flew in from across the U.S. to attend the Southern Shows on that tour...which only consisted of 6 shows...3 South, and 3 North (including Canada). We began organizing the group hotel party meet ups a good couple months pre-show dates. Many of us met up first in Chattanooga, then more joined in the following night in Birmingham...Sunday we all hit the Interstate to Atlanta.
The Birmingham concert was magical, purely magical...and the heavy steady downpour of rain only added to the magic somehow. Dancing in the rain took on an entirely different defintion for me that night. I was in front of the stage with fellow Kid Rock friends...and every time Kid jumped when he landed we were splashed & drenched more, hahahaha. When his hat was on the rainwater collected in the brim, so when he landed the water in his brim came pouring out. Kid was drenched too that night, but didn't stop him...he put on one hell of a show, the best of the best IMO. :)
Ill share a few stories.
Carb Day Indy 500 I saw more things at that show than any other show I've been to. I saw 2 couples screwing, several people pissin (girls and guys) within 3 feet of me. Many people pukin at leat 20. More drunks than Ive ever seen in one place. Flying beer bottles hitting people. I had 2 assholes try to dry hump me all the while lookin for Kev and Genny.
I was so disgusted I listened to the last 2 songs in my car with the doors locked lol
Greel;ey Stampede last 4th of July week. It was the tail end of my Chemo and I was completely wiped out. No immunity and sick, Bald and weak. So the only way Docs would let me go was in a wheelchair. Got there early so I could be at front of stage. Got to meet some awesome friends. Lisa, Lori, Ali and Carol.......
Ok the concert is in a rodeo arena with ruts and soft dirt. So they open the gate and its prolly 50 feet to the stage. My best buddy who is pushin me, takes off running pushing the chair and we hit a giant rut and I literally flew out of the chair...lol luckily I hit the ground running and got to the stage. He caught up with the chair and all was well. lol
It was a great show. Bob looks good with no shirt in the rain.
