I would have to say the first time I heard "Bawitdaba" Live at Pine Knob/DTE Music Center -- walking the steps up to the grassy knoll , just as the music was starting -- back in 1998 still makes me dance to this day and feel like I am 26 all over again.
"You never met a motherfucker quite like me" and "What I learned out on the road" are my two favorites to regulary rock to today.
As for touching my soul... It would have to be "Roll on" and "Single Father", because they both reflect my life (replace mother for father).
Hey Guys,
These are the best responses on any message board ever. I'm f*ckin ecstatic right now reading these. You guys impress me everyday with the responses. To add on this, my song would be "My Oedipus Complex".. Self explanatory if you follow the lyrics. Thank you again.

The song Abortion really hit home for me. At the time I was listening to it I had a neighbor die of a heroin overdose. She was only 26 yrs. old and I watched her grow up, we lived in the same nieghborhood forever. To see the pain her mother went through, because she died right above her in the attic bedroom, was a shame. Needless to say her mother died 6 months later.....imagine her father burying his daughter (who looked just like him), and the love of his life, all in less than a year!! It's very sad to see how lost he is today. The song Abortion makes me think of that time back in 2002. I can really feel the song You can say I'm wrong, but you ain't right.....I LOVE the ending of that one, I get my frustrations out and play that song and it helps me deal with people that are just plain MEAN! I also really love Lonley Road Of Faith which comes on right after You can say I'm wrong.....It's like going from Hell to Heaven in zero to 60 seconds. It's such a refreshing song and I just adore the lyrics, especially the quotes from the bible...Though I walk through the valley of darkness I am not afraid because I know that I am not alone. Then right after that Kid kicks into some of the greatest lyrics of all time, to me anyway. He was my Rock and Roll Jesus many many moons ago....way before his Rock and Roll Jesus came out. But we can't forget our Devil wiithout a cause either......I can go on and on...............I love Cold and Empty too. I auditioned to be the lead singer for INXS and I sang that song! I heard they wrote an article and mentioned me in it. It was local. I wish I could have read it and saved it, something to add to one of my many hopless chests!
"Only God Knows Why " is a huge song for me...cuz it made me become a KR fan...I heard it at a time in my life where it described almost exactly how I felt. It made me feel like someone out there felt the same as I, and of course that's what music is all about..right?
"Hillbilly Stomp" is another one...it takes me back to when I was younger and partying with my friends..it so fits the mid-western gal I am.
There is a lyric in "Blue Jeans and A Rosary" the I truly identify with ..."happy to be misunderstood" that is so me.
"I Am" Again luv the tune...and another lyric that I identify with..."You'll never put your finger on me"..again so me..lol
Of course "All Summer Long" I think that applies to us all...at some point...wherever we grew up...:)
I could name a few more, but those were the first that came to mind...
This last year I was diagnosed with Breast Cancer. It was long tuff year of Chemotheraphy and radiation. Every treatment I had my IPOD with Kid Rock playing or Uncle Krackers Happy Hour depending on my mood. I was Angry, sad, happy, scared, joyful, and any other emotion you can imagine. damn i had a short storie musta got lost
gosh i left out so many
Most all Kid & TBT's songs bring energy & emotions to life, many relate to memories...I'll have to respond more in depth when my mind isn't so overloaded, as it is currently, lol.
I will say that, I'm not a violent person by nature, so I've never had any make me want to punch someone, lol. The song currently that I'm loving the most for dancing & feel good music is New Orleans, but again, any Kid Rock song brings about emotions & energy.
OH YEA and ILL HOLD ON really speak relevent to my own life as to hold on no matter the case cause GOD has blessings for all the good and then look back at the old skool kr singing the same type message even if it dont mean that keeps it real and makes me jam luv it!1
