Have I missed it? there is a pearl jam channel, a margaritaville channel, where's Kid's channel?

Ms. Elin, back with, I believe my man and better half is a very giving individual and the most hard working person I know out there. I've been a fan since 98 when I saw him sing Bawitdaba on the MTV video awards.. he blew me away like no one had since the 70's.. I've been a die hard fan ever since. I've seen him 4 times in concert and can't wait until the next time because his shows are always fresh and exciting. That's the kind of artist he is. Born Free is awesome just as I had expected it would be. I think he's already a legacy. I can't really think of any other artist out there that has his versatility, talent and showmanship all rolled into one. But despite all that, he's kept it real and he's never lost sight of the fact that it's his fan base that makes him the great performer that he is. After all, without an audience, there would be no show. Props to Bobby and TBT.. keep on Kid Rockin!

I totally loved coming here and seeing your name again...I've missed your being around, as well as your intelligence. :)
I agree with you for the most part overall, but my opinions and beliefs are typically similar or precisely as yours, we tend to think alike, always have. I disagree with you in that Kid's music today does not make me feel ill, haha. There are a couple of songs I don't care for personally off the last two CD's...I usually just skip them. Those couple I don't care for are not 'bad' songs, they're just not Kid Rock quality IMO..."if it's real, you'll feel it"...well, I don't on those couple of songs I don't care for, that's all.
I've said for quite awhile now, since Pain Train didn't do that well in sales, that once Kid had a 'cause' to fight for, had something to prove such as he did with DWAC...he'd be back BIG. I too believe he has a plan in motion, as well...what he's out to prove is critical acclaim musically. He want's a Grammy also, and I can't blame him...as far as I'm concerned, he was robbed twice...DWAC and R&RJ, by comparison to his peers who won the Grammy categories he was nominated in both those years. He's already accomplished financial success musically, as well as some historical musical success with DWAC...most artists begin focusing on aspects of their career they've not already accomplished...such as critical acclaim among peers. You and I both know the Grammy's and similar critical acclaim is political Kevin...and Kid Rock knows it too.
I believe Kid wants personal respect too, recognition for the good hearted person, humanitarian, and intelligent businessman he is. I believe he truly want's to make a positive difference in America, any way he can. I don't believe he want's recognition for his good deeds & intelligence for selfish reasons, nor to gain financially...rather it's a matter of personal respect for him. He's often misjudged as being of no benefit to society so to speak...the media is pa

Yea, a legend and a legacy are so differen't. That's what threw me off because I do know they name cars that name but the definition for it doesn't quite fit in relations to a person as well as a legend does. Thanks for not making me feel so stupit with my post. But, but, but to say that Kid is an okay songwriter is an understatement. He's always been so diverse in his style that I say he's like a camillion in the music buisness. He has always showed us his rock, rap and country and soul since the beginning. That's why I've been such a fan because you can never get bored with him, he can give you a taste of everything. I was never into country and still may not pick it to be the first thing I grab to hear, but comming from Kid Rock it has let me enjoy it and broadened my horizons alot more. Like Southern rock I could take it or leave it, I like all the classics that I grew up listeneing to in the 80's, but again, it wouldn't be my first pick to through into my c.d. player. And Rap???? Are ya kidding? It was next to last on my list as far as music choices go....Bottom line...."Variety Is The Spice Of Life." And I salute Kid Rock for breaking down all of the barriers and at least trying to unite all into one. Now that's something to admire and achieve in the music buisness today, don't ya think? And the lyrics are what really count. It's genius. Now how about some classical and regae too?

Maybe we here at the Community (or as I refer to it, The Loony Bin) are trying to call Kid Rock a legend. Maybe this thread was supposed to ask me if I thought Kid Rock was legend or on his way toward being legendary. I would say Kid Rock has good potential to being considered a legend. The fans of Kid Rock (or the loonys) will not be the one's who decide if Bobby is a legend or not, it will come down to his peers, the media, and what he does with his next few albums. I believe Kid Rock is a gifted Musician, I believe he is somewhat talented at writing, and his live performances are by far superior to anyone out here today. I keep reading that he mellowed his music to benefit his fans, and I scoff at that perception. I was here when Kid Rock blew up and sold 20 Million albums, those were the good days. The Music he makes today, alot of times makes me wanna crawl in bed and sleep.
I have been to hundreds of shows, I have listened to the line "While these radio heads are reinventing the wheel" close to a million times, and thats where I start to question this

Kid Rock in my belief is aiming for that critical acclaim he has pissed on for years. He is still trying to escape the title ROCK/RAPPER, his ego is not pleased by just having MILLIONS upon MILLIONS of Dollars, he wants the critics and the people that really love Rock n Roll to appreciate him as a musician. I believe with all my heart, that whatever Bob wants, he has the will power to achieve whatever he feels is within his grasps. However, What will always make Kid Rock legendary is the Rap/Rock he mad
I think kid rock is a legend are ready some people are born to help others in life and growing up in a peterbilt u can beat I know my Hank and now I know my kid rock
I may be wrong, but I think he has already accomplished that... God Bless him... he works hard for the money, even still - that's for certain.

Kid has my up most admiration as an artist and a human being. He cares so much for people and he shows it by giving donations to the families with out even having to be asked- he does this on his own accord. He starts benefits which raise funds for causes. He visits millitary bases and gives free concerts. I could go on and on.
He is VERY busy and pushes himself to the limit and for what - others benefits. What a guy - I have nothing but love for this man. Kid is so diverse in his art that reaches sooooo many people - and these people ALL love him to death. He has such a big HEART xxxoxooox to you Kid
