If you have something you'd like to say to Kid Rock and/or TBT, here's an opportunity to do so:
Connie Jo says (26 Oct '10)

First...I'd like to say Kudo's with much respect to Kid Rock and TBT for showing their gratitude & appreciation to their loyal fans aboard the Chillin The Most Cruise. I must admit I was surprised to read the email I received from Sixthman, stating that Kid Rock & TBT would be meeting, greeting, and taking a photo with each and every fan aboard the Chillin Cruise. I was surprised in particular that Kid Rock himself would be doing such, as over the years from reading (watching) manyKid Rock relatedmedia articles, interviews, as well as fan club posts...have drawn the conclusion that Kid was reserved and shy so to speak, with meeting fans, especially in suchlarge numbers, or among crowds of fans.

Yet again I find myself in amazement of what considerate, appreciative, and respectful people Kid and each member of TBT are. No doubt it will take hours for them to accomplish the goal of meeting & taking a photo with approximately 1800 admiring fans aboard the ship. I didn't think I could gain any more respect for Kid & TBT than what I already held, but I was wrong...my respect for them as a fan continues to grow with each year I've been a loyal fan, which is a decade long now.

That said, I've had the honor and privilege of meeting & chatting some with Kid Rock in the past, and there really is nothing I can think of to say to him that is ofgreat importance or significance. Therefore, the thought occurred to me earlier this evening...of the many fan clubthreads I've read over the years relating to what fans would say to Kid Rock in particular, but TBT as well...if given the opportunity. I know there are many fans of which would love to be aboard the Chillin The Most Cruise, that for whatever reason are unable to. I wish we all could be aboard, however...that is in a perfect world.

With reflecting upon those past discussions related to meeting Kid Rock and what one would say to him...I thought of starting this discussion thread here at the fan club...offering each of you not able to go on the cruise, a chance to say something to Kid Rock in particular, but also TBT. My idea is for you to post your message to Kid and TBT in this thread, please keep all replies to the point, not replying to one anothers posts in this thread...as I intend to print the entire thread and hand it to Kid Rock personally, and will take additional copies to TBT also, assuming there may be messages for the band as well.

I have heard that Kid Rock keeps all things given to him by his fans, and assume that will be the case with the printed thread of personal fan messages to him. I assume he will at some point read through all the messages when appropriate, possibly after the cruise and in his more leisurely alone time.

So here's your chance my fellow loyal Kid Rock fans...say what you want to Kid Rock and TBT, andI give you my wordit will be personally delivered to them by me when I'm given my 'fan' opportunity aboard the Chillin Ship to meet Kid Rock and TBT...no middle ground, no mail sorting, etc....rather your message hand delivered in person by me, and you are assured it will be receivedby the man and his band directly. :)

I intend to print this thread Tuesday evening some time, as I fly to Tampa Wednesday morning the 28th.

My name is Jana Copeland,,,,I lost my 16 year old son in a car wreck 10 year ago. He loved Southern Rock and a month before he passed he told his brother when and if he died he wanted them to play Simple Man at his funeral. My kids and I had a very turbulous life, with an abusive father /husband. I will be at your April 4th concert at Winstar and it would make this mother and my baby boy in Heaven feel a real tribute if you could sing Simple Man for David Allan Livingston. I hit skid row after he died,,,,,,drugs, totally unme.... Suicide attempt, I died, they brought me back to life( I drank a gallon of antifreeze, and my kidneys had crystalized,,,, but by miracle for the Lord above lived with no residual, and I figure I might as well kick life in the butt for both of us. Please consider my request as it would be a great tribute to my son,. Love you and what you stand for...Jana Copeland

Hi
I grew up outside of Detroit and have listened to Kid Rock for years...I absolutely love his voice and all of his music. I visit friends in Clarkston every summer and look for him every time I visit but have never even caught a glimpse! I am putting this out here Mr. Rock-you would make a hardworking single mom of 42 extremely happy if you would get in touch with me:) I think we have a lot in common and I think you are gorgeous:) You are an inspiration-God Bless...

I dunno what i would say if i met Kid Rock/Bobby. I would probably wanna talk lyrics, music, and all to do with music. I mean i know it from the fans side and being creative. I know about points on records, standard record contracts (slave contracts), opening band pay to play bullshit, and other nasty things in music. But i don't know it all by far. I know there are some great entertainers out there who remember they got a break once and help others and do it right. I would like to hear what he has to say without cameras in his face about the real in music. How it was for him coming up and just talk real talk not the bullshit....Talk to Kid Rock as well Bobby. I know there is the thing like he said well if anybody asks Kid Rock is in a hotel passed out with 2 gorgeous groupies but Bob Ritchie is home getting his son up for school...Tell him i appreciate his music and contribution as an entertainer. Tell him i honestly think he puts on one of the best live shows out there, no exceptions. And that is saying a lot. I have seen Bob Dylan, Willie Nelson, Kiss, The Eagles and so many more it isn't even funny..

Anyway, i would just try to talk real with Bob and be respectful doing it. And i would hope Bob would be receptive to someone who is creative and a regular person like myself....

Amy Red's picture

Obviously this is old. :)
I don't know what I would say. I would probably passout, puke, or shit myself before I could speak. I was in Grand Rapids once, dead winter time, stayed at the same hotel as him. I got in my truck at 8 a.m. for a meeting on a Friday, and what do ya know, he walked not 5 feet in front of me, by himself pulling a small piece of luggage in a blizzard. I was just getting in my truck, looked up, and there he was. I instantly started to shake and wanted to say something but I just FROZE. Clicked a pic with the cell and was so fricking scared, I forgot to push save. Lost it!! So, if I could talk without puking first, I would also say thank you. The music is keeping this 39 year old young and alive. I love the music and it's meaning, I love the beats and all the different sides to it, rock, slow, funny, sexy, and of course, the awesome show when done live. I would love to meet Stephanie, the drummer (thinkg that's right), she is awesome. Love the things she does on stage! I have his first CD's from years ago to now. Came a long way and deserves all the attention, awards, and thanks they can get. How many bands do you know these days with such gratitude to their fans and anymore giving to their community? So again, thank you, God Bless, and Roll on....

First, I just want to say that I have enjoyed your music for many years and look forward to many more years of great KR songs.
Second, thank you for doing all that you do for all the charities and benefits that you support. You and so many other artists are awsome to take time out for the little things. This makes you stand out above so many.
And finally, just wanted to throw in another charity case that needs any help you can give. We lost several friends and neighbors as well as our school, Phil Campbell High School and the school in the next county, Hackleburg High School, during the tornado of April 27, 2011. Our school hosts some 600 - 800 young people. Our kids need a new school and deserve a new school. The insurance company has really been giving the Board of Ed a hard time. We are unsure of what will be rebuilt and what will not. The band room was completely demolished. They told us the band room was too big for our enrollment. We once marched over 100 kids. It was not too big. Any help you can give or anything you can do would be greatly appreciated. Maybe a Hank, Jr. and Kid Rock get together??? LOL! We would appreciate anything at this point. Thanks and love ya!!

I can't answer that question Bobbiejean, but assume at some point he did read the messages in his 'down time'...they were given to him the very first day of the cruise. He handed them to his own personal security guy standing near him. I know Kid keeps momento's from fans, and I know he cares about what fans think as far as his music and such.

Bobbiejean said:Connie - did he consider the list when you gave to him. I know you noted that you had given the list to him on cruise, but never heard if he answered our remarks or what have u... ?

Just want to say thank you Kid. Thank you for the great music, the awesome shows, and for keeping my teenage soul alive inside my 38 year old body. Thank you so much for that! Rock n' Roll will never die!

Just wanted to say my friend and I thought you blew Bon Jovi out of the water at the 02 Arena in London on June 25, 2010. Even though she's a big Bon Jovi fan, we both thought your show was far better. By the way, I caught your show last year at the Hammersmith Apollo (London) and it was THE BEST concert I've ever seen (and I've been to loads!). You have a fantastic rapport with your audience and I love how your arrange/present/stage your shows - there's never any kind of lull. You're a top entertainer and a multi-talented musician. Many thanks for some great nights! --- Deborah Ann

I've had a couple people ask me if I delivered these messages to Kid Rock while on the cruise. The answer is YES!, but of course! LOL In my blog cruise story chapters, I do mention my giving the fan messages to Kid Rock personally. As far as thanking me, you're all very welcome, but it really was no big deal, lol. All I did was make a discussion presenting y'all with the opportunity...you did the writing, then I printed it all off, took it with me, handed it over to Kid Rock, telling him they were messages from fan club members who couldn't be aboard with us. He said thank you very much, read my blog chapter related to boarding day...there's more about it there. :)

I would love to invite Kid and his crew to the Beets, Beats & Eats farmers market every Friday night starting June 18 in Crossman Park, behind the Village Pub in Ortonville, Michigan.
The DDA and it's volunteers bring together artists, musicians, vendors, farmers and anyone looking to share a smile and be a part of something wonderful and good.
We have just installed a new pavillion in the park and we would be honored if Mr. Ritchie would cut the ribbon at the ceremony on Monday, May 24 at 9am.
It would be a wonderful boost of energy for our volunteers as well as a great way to show Kid Rock cares about his community. Please feel free to check our website at downtownortonvile.org
Thanks again for this opportunity to communicate with the Kid!!!

I can't say enough how much your music touches me. I have only been able to attend 5 concerts in the NYC area over the past couple of years due to my work schedule, but every time I do get the opportunity, I snap it up. I've introduced many of my friends to your music. Simply because I believe there's a message there. I get it. I grew up simply around the same time as you did and it made me who I am today. Without the struggles and hard work (sometimes to my dismay), I wouldn't be as strong a person now. I admire you for how you continue to give back and being a very straight-shooter. You say it like it is and I wish I was more like that. Thank you for being a Patriot first and foremost. People sometimes just don't get it. Our forefathers fought and risked so much to be able to afford us the opportunity to live free. That is more important than anything. You inspire me, you get me thinking and you seduce me all at the same time. Hope someday to meet you and express it personally. Theresa
