We were at the Tigers game tonight as the no hitter was happening, I never mentioned it, neither did my son or husband, we know better, but someone didn't cuz Anibal Sanchez pitched an unbelievable game tonight, and was robbed of the no hitter with 2 outs to go in the top of the ninth, by no less than Joe Mauer. UGH, but brilliant pitching by Sanchez. FYI for the baseball newbies, NEVER MENTION NO HITTER WHILE A NO HITTER IS HAPPENING!!! I don't buy into jinxes but I buy into this one.

I made this & I swear it is the easiest cake I ever made and soooo good! Had to share this.

Angelique-Thnx! I have a collection of cake plates w/ glass covers. I use 'em for everything, from cookies, packaged treats to fruits or vegies! Makes everything tastes better when it's displayed on my counter! It says, "I'm Special, Eat me " Lol!

The cake looks great and delicious!! I'm not a big fan of cakes, but fruit cakes would be more me than traditional cakes.
Strawberry Shortcake is one of my favorite desserts, but I like making the old fashioned drop shortcakes from scratch. Now I'm craving it! LOL
That sounds sooo good and i bet a lot less fattening! I love strawberry season here (starts in Feb). We actually still grow strawberries here in Orange County. You can buy them fresh from little stands at the fields!

I do the same thing but just strawberry shortcake.
I buy a angelfood cake already made.
Slice it into 3 layers
Layer in whipped creme and whipped crme on top
Then cover with fresh strawberries and drizzle with strawberries broke down in sugar

I don't know how fattening the cake would be but since I used angel food cake (instead of what recipe called for) maybe less? ! All I know is it's so easy and yummy! All ya do is slice cake into layers,brush each side with lemonade concentrate(you know the frozen stuff) mix tsp of lemon extract into can of cream cheese frosting(which makes it taste slight lemon & homemade) then just frost each layer and top, then put blueberries on top! That's it! Done! Crazy easy!

The vinegar helps with weight loss and I think it does curb your appetite! Also supposed to have great health benefits too!

Tangie, ...got an idea! ....take the hostess cupcakes out, (lick frosting off) slice into chunks, melt butter & saute till golden brown & crunchy, next prepare salad mix use tangy salad dressing and top with crunchy cupcake croutons!

Take a teaspoon of apple cider vinegar (I like "Braggs") & that should help!

I'm sorry Tangie but I couldn't help it! I saw this on TV the other day & thought, "that is so simple, I have to try it!" It was so easy to make & just had to share this! In case you have to bring something somewhere "homemade" & don't have time or energy to whip something up...this would qualify as homemade! Even those who can't cook/bake can make this one! If you can butter a piece of bread, you can make this! I had to cut it up and send it out to my neighbors cause it was too tempting! I would have got up at 2 am for a midnight snack!
