hey guys, so im comin over from Australia with a couple friends and we are hiring and RV to drive to these Detroit gigs, in Clarkston, was wondering if anyone knows of any caravan parks around Clarkston that would be good to stay at? and also any tips on what areas we should stay away from to avoid trouble?
LOL yeah, you're catching on Iam You...sometimes going too deep philosophically and off subject can 'kill' a thread so to speak, hahaha. It's all good though, don't worry about it...it happens to all of us now & then. :)
Angel...the spacing function isn't working any longer on blogs, hasn't been since they changed formatting around here a while back. Doesn't matter how many times I click my spacer bar when writing on a blog, it will only put one space between paragraphs, which is not enough. Also, have any of you noticed huge text showing in some peoples blog writings but not others?
Oh, haha...you're welcome. I remember what it feels like to be posting illiterate, haha. I had never turned on a PC in my life until late 2003, which is this very PC I still have and use...it's 7 yrs old now, haha. I'll be 54 in August, and we weren't taught, nor used PC's during my era of school, not even in college. Administration offices & such at computers, but I think it was in the late 70's & early 80's the internet was born...if memory is correct. By that time I had been functioning well in business & home life without PC's, so had no interest in them. It likely was by the late 90's home computers became more common in homes, at least in my Midwestern rural region.
Anyway...within a month of buying my first ever PC, I joined Kid Rock's fan club at the time...KRAA, short for Kid Rock All Access. I was not only website posting illiterate, I was PC illiterate too, hahaha. As I made friends at KRAA, they literally helped teach me how to use a PC, heck, I didn't even know how to copy/paste, lol. I've come a long way baby since 2003, LOL. I even design many of my own graphics now, do all sorts of things on the PC...all either self taught or by friends teaching me. :)
We have alot of peeps who post run on Paragraphs and it is difficult to read.
Iam You...what blue is asking I think...is when you type out your text, every now & then click your spacer tab on your keyboard once twice, and it will put line spaces between longer comments, which makes it a bit easier on eyes to read with the black background of the website & white text. For instance...right now I'm gonna click my spacer tab twice and you will see my next sentence is spaced apart from this one, making it easier to read visually. :)
Okay...see the space or gap ^^ up there now after clicking my spacer tab twice. Hope that helps explain. :)
Iamyou....who is you?
We do so make the laws. Those of us that take the time to get off our asses and do the hard work required to get a decent law made or an existing turkey fixed.
You can sit back and blame it on lobbyists or the bugie man for that matter. Those who do nothing whine.
Attention all you long winded communicators!!!!!
For the love of all holy PLEASE, PLEASE, go back through your text before you hit add, and triple the number of paragraphs you had.
I have no trouble reading long stuff, provided there's some open air on the page. But once it all turns into text, it just all blurs together. Suspect a lot of you are making wonderful points and observations in them, but most people just scan them by because they are too tough on the eyes.
Humor me, I am neurologically impaired....lol.
Looks like a stogie lol Not a blunt. lol
I wondered what happened to your first blog. I returned a day or two later & it was gone, so just assumed you deleted, possibly even deleted yourself as a member. I recognized your posting style & personality right away in this blog, however. Even your user name 'Iam You'...relates in similar nature of personality with 'No Name', haha. I'm a detail person, pay close attention to personality details, key words used, writing style...so for my personality I could see you were one in the same person. :)
I didn't return to your first blog after my last comment, which I think was the one telling you I could understand your theory of reason behind posting the photo's you did...that it worked, haha, as well as I had no reason to doubt your being ill, & took you at your word. Since I didn't return to your blog prior to your deleting it, I didn't know others were bashing any members who were coming to your defense, so to speak, nor do I know what was posted after my last post directed to you. I'm likely better off not knowing if it turned ugly in any way, hahaha. :)
Posting 'etiquette' is really a matter of ones own personal style...what is wrong for one poster doesn't mean it's wrong for all, and so on. I don't think your first blog created anomosity due to 'etiquette', not the little bit of it I was able to read anyway, haha. You gave a justified and logical explanation for why you posted the way you did originally, at least from my perspective it sounded justified & logical, haha...don't know about others. To each their own...eh? :)
"Iam You" expresses more about who I am n my philosophy of existence than "No Name" did...If u have tha time 2 read my profile posts, u'll c exactly what I mean and maybe understand a lot more about me...but the posts r long-they get shorter at the end, I promise-...plus, those who defended me were gettin s*** from other fans, n that is not fair. So, I created new profile w/more appropriate profile name so maybe my defenders would not have 2 take shots for defending me...it is also why I deleted my blog blunder n posts. I am new 2 bloggin n postin n had no idea my piks n blog would create so much animosity. That was the opposite of my intention. I am learning n hopefully will get better @ it. My apologies 4 not knowing proper blog/postin etiquette. Live n learn, eh?
Iam You...how come you changed your name from the first one you used when joining? Either or, I like both, haha..very original & creative. :)
Yes, that is how we all form our opinions and beliefs, based upon our own life experiences. Well, most of us anyway, and that is the wisest way to form one's opinions & beliefs...based upon their own life experiences, education, knowledge...not that of someone elses, nor because of someone else. I've had my own experiences throughout life with drugs, addictions, violence, abuse, imprisonment...my dad, younger brother, x-husband...and many others I've known and/or loved in a lifetime. Addictions were responsible for imprisoning both my dad & brother at various times in their lives, and eventually, it led to both their deaths prematurely. Likely similar in nature will occur with my x-husband, my childrens father, & grandkids' grandpa.
Our society, in my opinion, is failing miserably in many ways...to legalize hardcore drugs in a over indulging, self absorbed, impatient, vain, 'free for all' society, I simply feel will increase drug related violence & deaths, rather than reducing such, especially domestically. As well as, increase risk of addictions with easier access to drugs, and no fear of retribution with their being legalized. I see daily in America the lives affected negatively by the over indulging of alcohol, which of course is a drug in it's own right, legal & readily available. Another example of Americans over indulging, having no self control or self discipline, impatience...is when being given credit easily...literally millions have abused credit. I'm very proud to be an American, but America just can't handle legalized drugs IMO...a vast majority have not handled any thing else responsibly, why would they drugs?
I 4got...Thank u Natureboy...u blogged a subject that is both interesting n controversial w/out influencing the flow of posts that followed...nicely done...bet u real easy 2 get along w/...or u fake it really well...HAHAHA!
Yes, Connie Jo, it is Missy n ur photos I was complimenting...and Natureboy's...As for the drug discussion, we cannot all agree on everything...guess we'll just have 2 agree 2 disagree on this point...as u said, America is a very diverse and unique country and there are many paths 2 the mountain top...perhaps the best solution lies somewhere in the middle of one extreme and the other (your beliefs n mine). I'm sure u know the line from Neil Young's song "every junkies like setting sun"...if one has ever loved someone who later became an addict/junkie, maybe their love for them would dissolve. But if one loves that person unconditionally, then maybe one would want their loved one 2 have every opportunity (and however much time is needed) to make the choice 2 get better...to rehabilitate themselves rather than to be put in prison where they get no professional and lasting therapy, thus leaving them w/the same addiction and no skills as to how to quit upon release. Also, upon release, parolees have a tough time finding suitable work due to their criminal records. But, again, I don't know everything (not even close) and this is a subject personal 2 each poster. Maybe I'm completely wrong...or maybe I am right about a little bit of this. It doesn't really matter because we don't make the laws. Lobbyists do w/their monetary contributions to politicians who tend 2 vote whichever way their biggest financial supporters want them 2. And I'm not saying ur wrong either. I am only stating my opinion which is largely founded my own experiences w/loved ones and on studies I did for a paper I wrote for my upper class writing requirement in law school (got an A-, so I did not get that one perfect). At any rate, I understand & respect ur opinion and agree w/u that hard drugs r corruptive...but so is money, power, the sex industry, hate n negativity...i could go on...but u'all probly bored enuf by me already...Glad we can discuss this topic in a civil & pr
Iam You...not for sure who you're referring to with photo compliments...but I'm going to assume it might be me, since I have many photos of family uploaded in my albums here...I also know Missy posted photos of sandcastles on my page, so presume that's what you're referring to as "sand art". If your compliment is directed towards my photo's...thank you. :)
Iam You...I respect your point of view, and I personally don't have an issue with legalizing pot at all...but I do when it comes to legalizing meth, coke, heroine, etc.. Stat's of other countries can't be used as a comparison to the U.S....too many variants in environment, heritage, traditions, lifestyles, average incomes, and other factors not similiar to those of people being brought up & living in the U.S.. The U.S. is a world all it's own, with a population very different in mindset, habits, behavior trends and many other differences from all other countries...just ask any foreigner, hahaha. Americans are thought of by many foreign populations as being spoiled, self destructive, self indulging, arrogant, irresponsible, gullable and so on...and for the most part by comparison to other countries...we are all that.
Consider this as a fine example of Americans not being able to 'handle' legalized drugs...stats show America to have one of, if not the highest rate of alcholism per capita than any other country.
Illegality of drugs is a large reason why there is so much danger involved in the drug business. In more liberal countries where drugs are either decriminalized or tolerated there is a much lower percentage rate of drug addiction. There are also often more government funded (thus not expensively prohibitive for someone to choose) rehabilitation facilities so that people are stigmatized neither by their drug addiction, nor by a choice and an option to choose drug rehabilitation. I would not not want my loved ones using hard drugs, but if they did, I'd rather they have condom, clean needle programs and drug rehabilitation facilities available. Diseases are spread thru re-used needles as well as unsafe sex. Drug addiction can and does often lead to prostitution. Drug addiction can become a duel addiction for some users when combined w/sex. Condoms are not usually a priority in such circumstances. The illegality of drugs also creates an underground world of thievery, beatings, murder...when dealers get robbed, they cannot go to the police. Dealers must enforce their own rules or be pushed out. It is the wild wild west w/drugs being illegal. Morphine, oxycontin, vicodin, xanax, percocet....cigarettes...alcohol...sugar...caffeine...All of of which are legal and regularly used by the masses (whoever we are) have caused uncountable deaths. No one in the history of humankind has ever died from the use of marijuana. And a growing number of states are beginning to decriminalize it for it's numerous medical benefits. But, yes, as bluesuedeshoe pointed out, Federal Government trumps all state laws, "still not federally legal, so caution advised". Interestingly, the number of non-violent drug offenders in prison/jail are said to be the best workers for the slave wages they are paid. Companies such as Victoria's Secret has inmates making their products for eleven cents to $2/hour with no holidays, sick days, overtime, or reasonable health care. So where are al
What Kid Rock does is his business. I for one think it should be legalized and really don't care if he smokes a cigar, cigarette or pot. Not my place to judge him. Um....Bob....puff, puff, pass...remember? No bogarting.
Pot is one thing Teresa, but I disgree strongly with legalizing ALL drugs. The sad reality is many people do not have self control, self discipline, self structure, self respect, nor respect towards/for others. To some extent we need laws & restrictions. With the lessoning of many laws already...society in many aspects has become a 'free for all'. The number of deaths related to alcohol, of which was made legal decades ago, are astronomical...ranging from alcohol related disease/illness' to alcohol influenced domestic violence and abuse to traffic fatalities. Then there are the astronomical number of families destroyed or damaged related to alcohol. The same would occur with all drugs being legalized. The human being is much like water...most always choosing the path of least resistance.
Saw this on the news. Knowing the history, and how I'm quite the weed connoisseur, myself.... it would be a sweet victory to be able to see something like this happen before I leave the earth.
Still illegal Federally, and until that's tackled, caution advised.
Federal Govt made 380 million dollars off the pot dispensers/growers in California in 2009.
California will legalize it for all in November if the public votes it thru. Hopefully more than 50% of the voters agree. USA is so far out on their drug laws, it costs us millions for prisons, healthcare from violence that occurs from illegal drugs. I say decrimmialize all drug use tax it, leave it to freedom of choice after all we are suppose 2 b FREEST Coluntry in the world yet Holland proves we r not.
This is so funny, my dad, in his teens during the depths of the Great Depression had to quit school to work. His job was burning wild growing weed. Parents had a party, early 70's and all the other parents were complaining about their kids smoking marijuana. My Dad piped in and said he didn't see any problem w/ weed. "I had to burn it up everyday, and that was the best job I've ever had." Kudos to my Dad. He had no idea I was listening.
Smoke 'em if ya got 'em
LOL @ Kat...I have tons of wild 'weed' growing around my area. The county burns or cuts it down every now & then.
Hell, smoking pot ain't no big deal, not in my opinion anyway, though I myself haven't smoked pot in 20+ years...I don't see it as being a big deal. Now if he'd been doing coke, or meth...that would be a big deal.
Ok in my defense, I had just woke up when I responded to this, and for some reason couldn't figure out why I had no sound. (friggin head phones were plugged in, DOH) Anyways, now that I am somewhat outta my comatose state and have listened, maybe it wasn't so live after all !! lol At least I don't think the after party was live was it? hahaha
I think it was fake myself. Why would he keep toking when he knows it's live TV and can't be CUT.....hello!! LOL
If he was really tokin I would think the easy solution would be to bring it down outta sight since all he did was waste a good toke anyways! lol It was just too playful for me to think otherwise.
Frankly, everyone but Paula looks like they've been at it awhile. Or faking. Not Bob. LOL!
