No scalpers, too much security and it's in the middle of the woods.... security on golf carts everywhere. If you plan on partying, BRING PLASTIC CUPS. They will make you dispose of any open bottles or cans.... empty or full....

Party at the Clarkston Union.... Great little local bar/resturant where Kid ALWAYS goes.. No DJ, just good beers, and good company.

I recommend eating and hanging out at the Clarkston Union. It's where Kid had his wedding party with Pam, and he can be found ther often. (I've met him there twice) Its a very low key old church turned resturant bar with "world famous" Mac and Cheese (again, a Kid fav.) I HIGHLY recommend. You can be a stalker and find his house (only 10 min. away from the Union). Lots of entertainment/shopping in Auburn Hills... not really much else. DTE is a great venue in the middle of the woods with even better parties! Have fun! (I'll be cheering with you!)

yea that's pretty bad when you can see KID ROCK for the price of Lawn Tickets -- about $30. -- and brokers have to ruin all that by jacking ticket prices so far ^^^ UP!

We have been looking at lawn seats for the 14th but kinda outrageous on stubhub or ebay..I can believe its pretty much sold out(except for brokers)..
messed that one up! went through Ticketmaster email and YES, there are VIP Seats left for Sunday's Show, Aug 15th and YES, they do have 2 together -- right now that is! So I have to think that there is a Bigger Chance to get Pavillion/Lawn Tickets sometime along the way. hmmm...
There are tickets available on Ebay and Stub Hub, other brokers...likely will be up until the show dates, just depends on how close you want as to price. Problem I have is most are sold in minimum set's of two, and I only need one ticket...don't really wanna mess with trying to sell the second one, which single tickets aren't 'that' easy to sell.

Yes,Connecticut went smoke free a few years ago but you can smoke in the casino's also...our venues here are also smoke free but you can smoke in certain areas in the ampitheaters.We are so looking forward to the trip and meeting some of you...we'll be there three days so this is great info for us..thank you guys...wheres the party friday...when we get outta the show we'll join ya! lol

We have had a smoking ban here in Ohio for a couple of years now.....changes that I have seen...
1. Every restaurant will build a patio for smoking seating and your screwed if it is raining.
2. Every bar will follow with the patio smoking idea; they will have to build one for people to smoke in their bar.
2. Your ashtray in bars will now be a paper cup with water.
3. After one year, none of it will matter in a bar, people will smoke anyway.
4. Restaurants are not as crowded.
5. Bars are not as crowded.
see the pattern? Limit what you can and cannot do WILL hurt buisness one way or the other? GEESH!
now I am off of here to take a cigarette break ;-)

It did let me book in Waterford for a "smoking" room, i guess i will bring my e-mail with the "smoking" preference. It's crazy this whole ban on smoking? I was glad I took a copy of the e-mail to Florida with me before the cruise. I booked a "smoking" room in a hotel that was a "smoke free" property for FOUR days (imagine my dillema?) I was not going onto the street everytime I wanted to smoke? they told me going out on the balcony was ok! Now I understand the whole ban of smoking in restaraunts, but dayum, in bars, hotels, come on! Oh well, Waterford it is, me and my cigarettes; can't help it, I like to smoke!

WOW....I was gonna change hotels, from Waterford to Auburn Hills. But, damn, is that whole city Non-smoking?? I have opted to keep my Waterford hotel. I would like to stay in Auburn Hills; if someone finds a Smoking Hotel in that city, could you please pass along the information?? The Holiday Inn there is sold out.

Best airport is Bishop which is in Flint MI. It's only about 20-30 minutes away whereas Metro is about and hour and a half. Probably have to connect but my husband says the convenience is worth the hassle. There is a great mall right next to the HI Express called Great Lakes Crossings. Every restaurant is around the mall and there is a food court inside the mall, There is a new sports bar, Toby Keith's Restaurant, it's huge and has a mechanical bull. There is a movie theater inside the mall also. All the box stores are across the freeway if anyone forgot stuff. There also is a Best Western in Lake Orion (city next to Clarkston) off Lapeer rd. The bar next door used to serve Badass Beer. although I haven't been there in a couple of months so not sure if they still do. Plenty of stuff to do in N. Oakland County but I will warn everyone, SOME OAKLAND COUNTY SHERIFF can be real sticklers, I highly sugges
