Have I missed it? there is a pearl jam channel, a margaritaville channel, where's Kid's channel?
wouldnt it be great? to hear kid unedited, acoustic jam sessions with other artists, commentary, etc.?

Im seeing alot of chit chat about Kid Rock and others drinking on the show......
Its my opinion that the comments and the afterparty scenes were written by the CMT writers. Its part of Bobs persona and they played that up for humor. They werent all shitfaced LOL
Now maybe peeps did not like that the writers did that but Kid Rock wasnt drunk, lol

I'd need to go through my 'momento's' to know exactly what year it was I attended the CMA Awards. President Bush SENIOR was in office, as he & Barbara were in attendance...made it a bit different with security precautions, seeing Secret Service standing everywhere, haha. Those dudes are not friendly, haha. I guess they can't be 'talkative' as it could be a distraction, but the one near us wouldn't even say 'hi' back to people. Anyway, I'm getting side-tracked there, lol.
My point is...this was like around 1993-94 I think? Shoot, there was plenty of drinking going on everywhere...before & after parties. We attended several, including RCA's party downtown...Randy Owen of Alabama jammed my camera trying to figure out why it woudn't flash, lol...Aaron Tippin then jammed it good! Oh the memories! I have pics, one of these day's I'll try to share. I can tell you there were ALOT of drunk artists and record exec's in that audience back in 1990's. Booze, beer, partying and Country Music go hand and hand...think of all the artists in Country music history with addiction problems, DUI's, lost life...Hank Sr., Keith Whitley, Wynnona, Tracy Lawrence, others.
Trust me...anyone who judges Kid Rock's drinking at the CMA's as being out of line, unusual, or different from any other CMA awards show...is either a self righteous hypocrite, or totally ignorant of the boozing & partying realities related to the CMA's & world of Country Music...which doesn't make them a very knowledgeable fan. Suppose they could be just naive or in self denial believing the world of Country Music is more honorable & respectful than any other genre...which I'll call 'bullshit' to any day of the week, lol. Heck, there have been several incidents of artists walking up on stage drunk at the CMA Awards show...I just can't bring any names to mind at the moment.

For all we know, it could have been his idea to come across that way.
I doubt very much he was "drunk" he mighta had a cpl but by no means was he "drunk"!

Their pretty damn funny! It's def pretty easy to tell when he is, and IMO I don't think he was, he was just having some fun and portraying an image.
My humble opinion is, lol............I usually find award shows very boring ok, last nights show was nothing but boring. I'm just one if I can laugh then I'm being entertained. If I see a good stage performance I'm being entertained. As you can see I was entertianed last night LOL.
It is true, there are way too many uptight people out there. Why don't these people try to kick back and free their mind on some nice smoke and alcohol. They might actually enjoy life better.

Ofcourse it was the writers. That whole skit was rehearsed in the morning. The only thing that wasnt the writers was when he would stop reading prompter and speak his mind lol Like the punch kanye thing

I agree Angel it think the afterparty scene was written in but the part with Sheryl Crow, he did act a little drunk and looked it too! He did an awesome job!
agreed Angel. Like all award shows, it was *clearly* scripted... those skits are always a little stupid, and so obviously not ad-libbed. I'm kinda surprised at people getting upset by that. Those "intermission" skits with the chick in the dress trying to interview winners, were stupid too. same kinda thing.
I thought KR did a good job. the stuff where he was ad-libbing (or seemed to be) was more relaxed and funny... like the cigar smoking thing. I mean, I hate awards shows generally... they always seem a little silly to me. but for someone who doesn't usually do things like this, he was good!
I agree. He made it more relaxed and fun. He is a good person and I like what he said at the end. It was from his heart.

I agree with you 150% and I think everything he did and said was with good taste. It remained a family show in fact it was the BEST CMT award show I have seen yet. I vote Kid to be the host every year. He was AMAZING!!!!
Finally a more relaxed atmosphere. Kid you did an AWESOME job!!!
The CMT's award show really needed you to be there and I know I am not alone in Voting that you host it every year from now on. :)

KR was the best CMA host ever!
It shouldn't matter what he does even if he was who cares.he is a grown adult and its his right.I think he did a wonderful job just being himself and having fun people are too up tight now days.plus he's a regular guy why do people act like that?
