I would much rather see it decriminalized than legal cuz like T said the gov will fuck it all up as usual, Unfortunately the gov has started to see a new taxable product and are slowly figuring out how to screw us "potheads" the hardest jmo

jade-FXD's picture

oh! I meant to also say that another reason to favor de-criminalizing (but not legalization) is that it can keep government regulation out of it. which can be a plus for some. :-)

kidrockangel's picture

Blue most peeps with licenses here dont grow weed. You sign the store over as caretaker and they grow the weed.

kidrockangel's picture

All of our stores have huge selections of food products and teas etc with THC

kidrockangel's picture

Colorado is a traditionally Repub state and we were the first to legalize. So NOPE not just dems want legalaization. our republican reps worked hard for legalization. lol

jade-FXD's picture

"Dems favor legalization, Reps don't. "

there is a third choice, not talked about too much... but de-criminalize it but don't legalize it. This argument comes up in debates about prostitution, too. In both cases it would allow people access to it without being arrested, stop the governement from using tax payer's money spending time & resources to arrest people.

Just a thought.

True on the pills though I heard recently they think they might have come up with a more effective form. Hope so, make it easier to quit cigarettes, lol.

Nothing is for everyone and everything is for someone.
And 4 all the "someone's" out there, it should be readily available.
Shouldn't matter what their condition is or how minor.
Peeps oughta b able 2 choose 4 themselves between reasonable medical options.
Marijuana is a reasonable medical option.

N 2 Sweet Angelique...a lil birdie told me thc pills r bunk (even if ya smoke em-HAHA!)
This is super condensed explaination of thc pills...
The plant has 67 different alkaloids in its chemical makeup (it's DNA, so 2 speak)
Scientists extracted one (the thc alkaloid) and passed that off as a medical option as marijuana is illegal.
Tha point of that was 2 patent tha pill n pharmaceutical companies make more bank$.
Cannot patent a plant...yet...we'll c as tha laws change.

The prob w/the pills is that users, so a lil birdie told me, get no effect @ all from the thc pill.
In order 2 get the effects of marijuana one must consume it (smoking or eating or vaporizing)...
With all 67 alkaloids present during consumption...which thc pills lack 66 of tha 67 alkaloids.
So, no worries, ya misssed out on a sugar pill-HAHAHA!

To me, the biggest problem is the political polarization of the product. Dems favor legalization, Reps don't. So you take the time to get licensed in the state of choice, knowing it is still a federal offense. The political climate changes in the next election, and where does that leave everyone? Hanging with their butts out in my opinion, though I surely appreciate and respect those who are willing to risk it for the health benefits it provides folks like me.

Caution to those who apply, you are constantly subject to immediate search at any and all times. If they find one plant more than contracted...... You must be relentlessly careful and always have good powerful legal support in your community while we are still walking through this minefield.

Anything that comes in an open baggie has stuff in it you don't want to know about. That paraquat scare hit us too. Welcome to the Colombian cartel, who got their start in RI and the bright idea to sell it. Friend died of the lung infection, health was already compromised, and they didn't know the problem until after he passed.

Pricing will always go up with this product, especially when sources go down. Medicare and Medicaid and private health plans will fund some once folks are approved for use, but it will continue to be an expensive treat.

Think it's better to legalize the whole deal, MJ only. Think of all the FDA money saved, and money at the municipal level returned to budgets for real problems. Shoot, we might even solve a couple with that money.

Hydro is great in all but chemicals, not so sure. I like all natural babied in the ground like in jamacia. Cetivas ok i can't spell it but man its great to smoke it.LOL

kidrockangel's picture

anyway, I advise getting your lisence asap while its still easy before Gov gets more envolved in that process.

kidrockangel's picture

I worried about Gov intervention as well. But the way the lawyers for Weed have set it up, Its lookin pretty good. Meaning it will never be mass produced but continue to me Home Grown Hydro set ups. Anyway Its working pretty well here. lol

1 oh yea its available legal not really sure
2 ya know . long ago my buddy had these little green round pills said they were thc pills
so what did our dumbasses do?? laced a joint with em heehee dont really remeber
i was kinda afraid to bow up on it so i passed on it
ive always wondered if thats what the real thc medication was tho
3 yes i wish it were , like a 5 plant personal use
lke amsterdam with cafes ya know ive always wanted to go there and see the windmills lol
4 oh gosh im sure anything grown by uhh
i luv the country

5 see what happins kids when ya get older ya cant count and number things properly geeze
ok price my guess is medicaid would not pay for it wonder if private ins would
its probably higher than giraffs ass
6 imo (only) the gov would never legalize it because they have made and keep making so much money on the trafficing arrests, local growers etc .. the judicial system would take a hit heheee git it
i think anything to ease human suffering has to be positive

i wanna move to michigan one more reason lol

1. Michigan has it.
2.
3. wouldn't know, last time I smoked weed was in '79 or '80, there was some sort of pesticide on it, it was from South America. I think the pesticide was called Paraquat or something like that. Made us sooooo sick we were down for weeks w/ a lung infection. Plus I became very paranoid and thought I might jump out a window. We lived on the ground floor of our apartment but still couldn't convince me any different that I would not die. Haven't smoked it since.
4. no idea
5. Legalization would probably be the best thing, but not sure if the FDA or any other gov't agency should be involved. Need to think that one out, w/ logic but I'm a tad buzzed tonight, so I'll figure it out tomorrow when logic returns.

Yes, which I just found out about, and thought it was illegal, but a friend just got their medical marajuana license, I was in shock.

I kinda would like it to be legal, kinda have mixed feelings on that though, not too sure.

Well I've had medical marajuana from cali from a friend there, it was the bomb.

Has no idea about prices, cuz i'm really not a pot head, just an occasional once in a blue moon has a toke or two.

Not sure, but the only problem with it being fully legal, is the government will want their BIG cut out of it.

1bbshirlee's picture

All I know is IF the goverment wants to cut down on health related desises that are very exspensive and time consumming along with labor costs we must make this widly used herb legal. People are getting sicker because of how methods for this commoity is produced, packed and shipped to avoid legal ramaifications

kidrockangel's picture

We have an MJ store on every corner lol It rocks.

Lady Viper's picture

Good one T! They probably would put that shit in there. When its sticky its hard enuff to burn. LOL LOL LOL

RedwingT's picture

1.Yes it is medically legal in MI.
3.I've never had medical Mary Jane that I know of.
4.Never have price compared, not ever having Med MJ.
5.I am prolly one of the few ppl that do not want to see it legal for recreational use. Keep the gov outta my buzz, outta my source and outta my weed. Before ya know it, they will be putting chemicals in it to make it Fire Safe just like they did cigs. I could go on and on...but I'll quit for now! lol

jade-FXD's picture

It should be legal. Its a waste of resources for the government to "fight" pot use. and, it can be helpful in medical situations.
I don't have any direct experience with medical pot, though, so I can't answer your questions any more specifically.

Lady Viper's picture

Ohio is totally against it! Do I believe in it? YES! My friend a 3 cancer survior gets medical sorta of-LOL It's who grew the weed your smoking as to how good it is-Commerical or home grown or hydro and what type-widow,n lights, dunk, my fav-The black Pearl, and so on. LOL Plus you have that male female thing for polination, that can put the headache or heart bump in ya.LOL I think it would help the US gov with money issues if they did say go head smoke it up america but some asses would screw it up. It would have to a very special law with alot of corks in it I am sure. HUGS!
