I saw KR at MSG too, it was my first KR show. It was awesome. Hank was his special guest, that was interesting.

I agree with you, live shows are not the same anymore. The main reason KR appealed to me so much was his 'let your hair down and go nuts' energy. The heart and soul he (and the TBT) puts into the live show is impressive. I always feel so grateful when it's time to walk away.

The Walden Woods Project, Foxboro, MA-concert included: Don Henley, Sting, Areosmith, Elton John, Jimmy Buffet, Melissa Ethridge, Jimmy Buffet, Great Artists, Great cause. I was an Usher so it was free and I was right up front.

Jethro Tull, Boston Garden. Ian Anderson was a talented showman and performer. Unique original music.

Emerson, Lake, & Palmer, Cape Cod, MA Keith Emerson I thought was one of the best keyboard players of all time.

Kid Rock, Madison Square Garden, NY. High energy, danced all night. Diversity of musical styles and talent. The security at the Garden is cool. They let you do your thing. Kid was on top of his game with the jokes, special effects, awesome songs, special guests.

Too many to mention, honestly the best ones, aside from KR are from years ago, some of the recent ones are too canned and predictable. I like the old wild, crazy, let your hair down and go nuts concerts from the days when the biz wasn't so "Produced" Thats what I like about KR he is his own man. Others worth mentioning: George Harrison, Jeff Beck, Chuck Berry, Rod Stewart, David Bowie, The Stones, Areosmith, Fleetwood Mac, James Taylor, J.Geils, Vince Gill, Lynard Skynyrd to name a few (they all had great energy, original music, and a good time had by all. There are more; that's enough for now.

Good question, have a good one!
