    LYRICS: "Born Free" [Updated]

Fast on a rough road riding
    High thru the mountains climbing
Twistin, turning, further from my home

Young like a new moon rising
Fierce thru the rain and lightning
Wandering out into this great unknown

And I dont want no one to cry
But tell em if I dont survive

    I was born free
    I was born free
    I was born free
    Born free

    Free like a river raging
Strong as the wind Im facing
Chasing dreams and racing Father Time

    Deep like the grandest canyon
    Wild like an untamed stallion
If you cant see my heart you must be blind

You can knock me down and watch me bleed
But you cant keep no chains on me

    I was born free
    I was born free
    I was born free
    Born free

And Im not good at long goodbyes
But look down deep into my eyes
    I was born free

    Calm, facin danger
    Lost, like an unknown stranger
Grateful for my time with no regrets

    Close to my destination
    Tired, frail and aching
Waiting patiently for the sun to set

And when its done, believe that I
Will yell it from that mountain high

    I was born free
    I was born free
    I was born free
    Born free

I will bow to the shining seas
And celebrate Gods grace on thee

    I was born free
    I was born free
    I was born free
    Born free

Kid Rock is completely untalented and incapable of writing a song of his own design, a ripoff artist if you will, this song has Bob Segar all over it, kid rock probably never even saw the song until it was studio time, (con) artist like this are ruining music!

The lyric's are angelic, reach's my soul and makes me bounce around freely. ;) Kid Rock finds ways to reach his listeners and this song will definitely make us feel spiritually "FREE". I love it.

Just heard it on an MLB promo on "Lopez Tonight." A _killer_ song.

This song is awesome!! It ranks right up there with some of the best stuff that fellow Detroit native Bob Seger put out in the late 70's and early 80's!! It is another American anthem!! It just proves that the Kid can tackle any musical genre that he takes on. I'll add this to my playlist alongside 'Against The Wind', 'American Storm', 'Like A Rock' and Kid's duet with Seger on 'Real Mean Bottle'. Keep on rockin', KID!!!! KICK ASS!!!!!!!
