Angel...I tend to think Kid Rock himself want's to make a statement about the world, failing society, & so on. Kid aka Bob Ritchie has been becoming more & more opinionated through his ballad lyrics, related to his own personal views on the world/society. He sincerely want's to make a difference, and through his music is one way he's attempting to do so...'if' people will listen to him and take his lyrical messages to heart that is. 'Amen' is an example, so is 'Roll on Roller Coaster', but more indirectly than the lyrics of 'Amen'...and another is, "When You Love Someone". Heck, just witnessing all Kid does through charitable behavior shows he want's to make a difference, cares about others, etc. Action speaks louder tha words.
Kid was always socially opinionated in lyrics, such as with Bawitdaba, etc...but song's like Bawitdaba, lyrically were/are a less focused approach towards making a difference in society, simply personal opinions in thought at the time the lyrics were written. He writes now deliberately wanting to make a difference.
Wanting to make a difference happens to several people especially as we get older and mature. Our kids are grown, or almost...our careers established, financial stability often comes in mid life...we have more time to focus on other's worries and problems in society, rather than strictly on our own. We begin to realize we want to make a difference for others while we still can. Philanthropy, compassion, empathy, is alive and well in Mr. Ritchie. One more reason why I'll respectively be a Kid Rock fan to the end. :)
I like it love the lyrics the rhythm /music r rockin. Diggin Kid even more his next album is goin 2 b the best Rock-n-Roll Jesus was just the beginning of thriving American BadAss . If u have noticed Kids been writing lots of music for others also, hes on a roll.He truely loves what he does. People have to understand that artist also change due to life experiences . Every great artist writes and creates from their heart.
See, I don't care for the live tracks because I can't hear the lyrics, or even some of the finer instrument's in music, due to all the background crowd noise, other outside element noises. If I don't care about hearing the lyrics, then live is okay. Now, when I'm at a live concert, I don't have a problem understanding the lyrics...it's only on recordings.
I can't understand most the lyrics, usually can't with utube video's, or lower quality sound, due to my sensitive ears/nerve damage. I'll be able to understand the lyrics on CD quality though, if it's put on Kid's next CD that is, or in quality MP3 or MP4 format.
In the meantime...are the lyrics available to read anywhere?
I like it
this one doesnt have great sound. Hard to understand the lyrics, but I much prefer to watch a live video to get the energy from the crowd..... My collection of live videos is my fav Kid Rock thing.
The comerica show is priceless....
I have the same sorta reaction. I think it might be a good song, but its hard to tell. I've actually stopped watching most of the posted music videos because they sound on them is so bad, that it really doesn't do anything for me... in fact, most of them make KR (and whoever) sound terrible which we know isn't the case! so, I just watch the interviews and that sorta thing and leave the music vids alone.
I am thinking this song will sound better either if we hear live or from the studio. I really couldn't tell if I like it or not.
kool i love the song and can't wait for more.. when is he gonna release his new album???
Time will tell..I like the song ;)
Bob can make songs that make a statement about the world, while still maintaining his unusual, kinda casual, quirky, a little cocky Kid Rock edge that we all love so much!
Thanks Angel..you Rock Girl...
I think its is beautiful....And Thank God I was Born Free !!!!!
I like it, Thanks for finding that Angel Baby
i really like this its great
I figure we have hundreds of songs that we can listen too of old school rap.
I think Rick just wants him to make songs that are marketable and make a statement about the world.
It's a nice song, but i like my angry, cocky, loveable Kid Rock better.
Stop listening to Rick Ruebun!
I like it! Cant wait for the new album! Hope everyone has a Merry Christmas!
OMG I LOVE IT
I like it, I like it, I like it! I want more!
sometimes I have to listen to a song a cpl times for it to grow on me. Not saying there is anything wrong with the song, I'm saying there is something wrong with me! lol
I am thinking so.
Sounds pretty good in my opinion.
I dunno Angel, but you heard the interview, He is gonna sing more about things that have more meaning than saying his name over and over lol Rick Ruebun is pushing his buttons...We shall see...
