The best kiss I ever got

The best kiss I ever had
Was the one I never got
Made me kinda sad
Thought maybe he'd forgot
It's the thought I've been missing
It never goes away
Of his lips to mine, sweet kissing
The one that I may never find
How could he ever forget
And leave these sweet lips behind
Blows my mind and leaves me talking
Walked right by smiling
And just kept on walking.
I thought hey, stop, it's me!
But he couldn't hear the thoughts in my head
Maybe it just wasn't meant to be.
And as I turned to walk away in disgrace
I turned to look one more time,
OMG, you all rock.. Thanks for all the great suggestions and nice words... I am going to do it this time... I have to. I'll keep you posted on my journey... Much Love .
Love all the comments! I have lost 15 pounds over the last 8 months, I know not much but it is staying off. I don't eat after 8:00 pm at night. I only drink water. and I eat all no saturated fat foods. I have lowered my cholesterol 74 points in 8 months good chol stayed the same bad went way down. Walk, stay active but really don't eat after 8:00PM Good luck and love the veggies!
Patricia,
I checked out your pics, you are so pretty and not at all the leader of the "chubby chubby fat girl club" I think that your perception of yourself is off. You have a very pretty face, and curves. Guys love curves. I bet you husband thinks that you are the sexiest thing alive. All you have to do now is believe it yourself. Let me know how it goes.

I forgot to add on my first comment. That when I walk I have 80 of Kid's songs on my MP3 player. I can walk and walk and walk, just because I am listening to him. It made a huge difference it getting out there and moving.
Patrica,
We are in the same boat. My doc put me a new medication and I promptly gained 10 pounds that won't come off my butt! This week started the big push to drop it off before the holidays.
My doc said a lot of what the others have already said. Eat less and exercise more. Watch the empty calories like soda and drink plenty of water. He also told me to limit my favorite food group....cheese. Sad. But, I am commited to trying. He also suggested a food diary. This way you can see what you eat in a day. I am going to add what exercise I do that day as well.
Good luck! I know we can do it!

Eating moderately, excercise, & self discipline. One doesn't have to diet or do an excercise regimine to stay fit.
Simply not sitting on the couch watching TV all night & snacking at the same time helps, & I know tons of people who do just that. People seem to develop bad fittness habits with age.
I read an article once saying metabolism slows with age, begins slowing around 25, more after 35, 40, 50, etc.. That article said if one would get in the habit of doing simple little things to help maintain their younger age weight, extra weight with age related slowing metabolism wouldn't sneak up on them over time.
'Simple little things' included not parking in the closest possible spot at the local mall or grocery store...walking further. Taking stairs instead of an elevator when possible, using a push mower instead of a riding, staying active with chores & projects around the house instead of procrastinating...& so on. Basically use common logic really...stay busy, don't sit too much!
I weigh what I did in my 20's...5'4", 135 lbs, size 10 pant. I've never been a naturally thin person, not even as a kid. I'm also fortunate that I carry weight somewhat well, evenly distributed over my body, not just in hips, stomach, etc...often deceiving people with what I actually weigh. I've always been physically active in one way or another, which helps not gain weight, rather muscle. I hate the muscle in my arms & calves though, look like mens, haha.
In my early 40's began Menopause...gained 30 lbs! I went through it naturally, no HRT, but Menopause messes up metabolism, energy levels, etc.. Men also go through the equivalent of Menopause, called "Andropause". If you're overweight...it's gonna get worse during Menopause/Andropause, be prepared...try to lose extra weight before that time in your life.
Once 50, Menopause cycle was well over, hormones balanced out, but extra weight hung on, regardless. Then one of the most stressful t
Divorce his skinny ass and loose 210 lbs. BAM just like that.

Liquid calories are the devil. ;}
Watch out for the liquid calories. I used to drink Coke nonstop. I only ate once a day and couldn't understand why I couldn't shed the extra weight that "snuck-up" on me. I switched to Coke Zero and started walking more and have had great success. I hope others will be able to offer some advice and you'll be able find what works for you. I think a lot of it has to do with jump starting your metabolism also. Sometimes you have to trick your body into a new mode with new routines (exercise, sleep, water intake, etc.) Good luck.
