    What do the top ten cities with the highest poverty rate all have in
    common?

    Detroit, MI (1st on the poverty rate list) hasn't elected a Republican
    mayor since 1961;

    Buffalo, NY (2nd) hasn't elected one since 1954;

    Cincinnati, OH (3rd)...since 1984;

    Cleveland, OH (4th)...since 1989;

    Miami, FL (5th) has never had a Republican mayor;

    St. Louis, MO (6th)....since 1949;

    El Paso, TX (7th) has never had a Republican mayor;

    Milwaukee, WI (8th)...since 1908;

    Philadelphia, PA (9th)...since 1952;

    Newark, NJ(10th)...since 1907.

I despise Party Politics with every inch of my heart, mind, and soul! There is Good and Bad in all and the entire Political Party thing is low down dirty to the core, both parties, one big snake pit. I spent 15 years of my life up close and personal with this beast. I guess you would say I am a Conservative Liberal or a Liberal Conservative. We need to get rid of the "Electoral College" and return our nation to the "Popular vote" system. Statistics and demographics can be (and are) twisted and turned to say anything the person quoting wants it to say. It is one big game to those who choose this occupation, The population is the pawn, and the power is the prize. The "Political Party" regime is no different than the multitudes of religions out there claiming to be the one true way. It is just a matter of what you choose to believe. So I will end with this "Some things truly do exist whether you choose to believe them or not" and "What is Popular is not always Right and What is Right is not always Popular". Peace!

I don't understand why people don't understand that...a President realistically can't change this Country to the extremes that are often promised in a Campaign, regardless of political affiliation. Obama is a fricken liar, period...always has been, always will be.

Don't expect any to take my word for it...nor should you take anyone elses word for it. Don't live life being brainwashed/influenced by others opinions...DO YOUR RESEARCH YOURSELF PEOPLE!!

Bush is being blamed for what the Liberal Democratic controlled Congress and Senate has done to hurt our economy overall the last several yrs!! The fricken President didn't do it...a DEMOCRATIC CONTROLLED CONGRESS fucked this country up, along with the greedy & insane Muslims, etc., etc., etc..

The facts, voting records, laws adopted by the House & Senate can't be denied during the Bush Presidency...it was the Liberal Democrats who changed this country for the worse...each & every time they've controlled Congress & the Senate this country has went to hell. :(

Look what's happened now, the Dow Jones needs bailed out...can you guess who has been controlling our failing economy?...a Democratic Lilberal controlled Congress & Senate!! They spend toooooooo much money freely without thought, especially forethought...bailing out many who don't deserve bailed out...which kills our economy in many ways!! :(

Just state my opinion like you all do. Not going to get into an argument because it is pointless. Who is going to change anyones mind here. Not happening. So type all you want I wil still be a Democrat and you wil still be Reb. Have a nice night.

It is sooo easy to blame the president, any president when things aren't going well. Study, research and make sure who you're voting for in the senate and congress as well as president, then maybe your vote will really count and the changes you anticipate may start to happen.

There has been scientific studies and results that late speaking children are of high IQ, intellingence, and even genius. also with late walking children these.... studies etc. were based on otherwise healthy children.

Nancy Nancy Nancy... States and Cities should not rely on the National Government, when they do, its because leadership within state are not doing their jobs... Do you think Granholm is a good leader? Industry is sending jobs overseas, who is to blame? NAFTA ring a bell? What has the Democratic Congress done to strengthen the Economy? NOTHING...

Listen, I know Bush has not been perfect, but like I point out many times, he was given a hand unlike any hand a president has ever been given..With a Democratic Congress, he is pretty much fucked anyways.. I loved his idea for Privitizing Social Security, Dems fif not.. I loved many things Bush has done, i dispise a few.. Mark it down, what you see in this country now is a direct result of Bill Clinton. And if Obama wins and does what Democrtats do (raise taxes) this Economy will die

Einstein also said:

"Two things are infinite: the universe and human stupidity; and I'm not sure about the the universe."

He also didnt speak til he was 5 years old!

So insanity would be yet again over and over electing a republican to office, yes that quote works for me too.

Da MOM's picture

We elected a republican president and look at where we are now. Cities and states also depend on national government so I think its not quite as simple as you make it out to be.
