Is the one I never got.
For me it was the youtube video for Amen. That song takes me on a journey of sadness, pride, anger, faith and standing for what you believe in. It gives me hope that in doing the right thing for the right reason all will be ok in the end.
Tell me your story.....what song of Kid Rocks made you a believer???

COWBOY & AMERICAN BAD ASS
this is my favorite....
I loved it when I found out that Dr Phil loves this song!! Too funny!
i like the woods ill visit though
Thanks Carol!! I just got new speakers on my computer.....this song rocks!!!!!
I may be one of the few that thinks he gets better all the time. Cuz the "old stuff" is good...or should I say damn good! But if he had not matured as an artist many people like myself may not have "noticed" him. It's great for those of you that have followed him throughout his career....wish I had been around. But I wasn't and I'm glad I have now discoved his talent and am still discovering some of his songs.
INFAMOUS-1 : having a reputation of the worst kind : notoriously evil
2 : causing or bringing infamy : disgraceful .....per Webster's Dictionary
TFF!!!!!!
LOL...funny!
Amen is THE ONE as far as getting my attention. I don't even know how I stumbled onto it. I think it was the black and white shots of him staring right at me thru the computer and the soulfulness of his expression. Then....I went on to discover the stuff that I won't let my daughter listen too. I've been known to have my music blaring working around the house...forgetting that my 12 yr old has a friend over......SPRINTING TO TURN DOWN "Fuck U Blind"....then apologizing and hoping she doesn't tell her parents!! ooops! Sooo pisses my daugher off too! lol
yep this is the one that got me hooked, still one of my favs
The whole cd DWAC got my attention. Then went and sampled other songs. I would say American Bad Ass and Forever are the two that really realed me in.
I love this one too ~
BAWITDABA!!!
thanks
New York City itself is not that bad, though the streets were lined with homeless and beggers, and I am still trying to figure out what Juliani and co did with all of those poor souls.
The commute is the killer, especially coming in from CT, down the Metro, then underground on the 6. Some days it took hours just to get to work, and hours more to get home.
i would only go for like a day maybe but if it was chill id stay
Ah, New York's Not My Home....another fav of mine too. Worked in Manhattan for awhile.
bawitaba, newyork is not my home bobby was a lil punk like me when i first seen him and that was the first time i heard the music
Y'all need some old skoolin' on KR & TBT, becasue AMem..is ok...I respect it, but it isn't what made him infamous, just what made him polically correct...meaning repubilc...so, if you found him starting at Amen or Picture, dig deeper...there is more to a book than it's cover...
NOT AMEM...more like Fuck U Blind BItch...like his attitude, didn't know that you didn't have to apologize for being upfront until KR & TBT...brought up Catholic, so I'm "Guilty" just for that.
I really do like it all. The angry stuff is great for letting off steam. Then some of his songs are the best aphrodisiac on earth!! I also know I can get a good laugh by listening to some of the songs also....won't name them! lol
its only god knows why i heard that song in '99 ive always liked it it reminds of all the shit i been through and how blessed i am to be able to be where i am today its my wake up call when i need that slap of reality
Yeah HAPPY is good- at the shows you like high five the people around you . Kinda cool and he talks to the audience more than most artists. The best show was with Rev Run in Camden, NJ- 2008.
For me it was tagging along with a friend to a show so that she did not have to go alone....Borgata January 2008.........prior to that I had never bought tickets to a show-always went along with someone-I never wanted to spend my hard earned money on people (rock stars)who would just use it to party and buy hookers. Well after that show (and I have been to many concerts J Giles Band, Robert Plant, Van Halen, Springsteen, Dead Shows and on and on) I am a fan. I have been (and paid myself for the tickets) to 3 Kid Rock shows this calendar year alone!!!! Like his old music best when he was still angry...g
My kids LOVED this song..."back in the day" as they would say!
Those are prime examples of his creativity. When I hear or read of someone bashing KR for "stealing" songs/lyrics I could just smack them. Obviously they have not educated themselves with HIS music! Dumb asses!
Baw....has to be one of the best party songs done.
Well, the first KR album I heard was History of Rock..I was hooked from American Bad Ass...but the song's that hit me most were, My Oedipus Complex, Dark & Grey and Abortion...WoW..to me, the power of the words in these songs is what did it for me..
Thanks for the post...one thing about his songs...no matter what your mood there is a Kid Rock song to go along with it.
Love the videos....hope everone does this!
