We were at the Tigers game tonight as the no hitter was happening, I never mentioned it, neither did my son or husband, we know better, but someone didn't cuz Anibal Sanchez pitched an unbelievable game tonight, and was robbed of the no hitter with 2 outs to go in the top of the ninth, by no less than Joe Mauer. UGH, but brilliant pitching by Sanchez. FYI for the baseball newbies, NEVER MENTION NO HITTER WHILE A NO HITTER IS HAPPENING!!! I don't buy into jinxes but I buy into this one.
Thanks Beckxy It was for the first cruise
Seeing the date posted was 2009, I think this post was for the first cruise back in 2010, Bub
I WANT THE TICKETS IF THERE AVAILABLE!
Yes, they will know wanda. You can't just sell them to someone else and not change the name on the reservation. All identification has to match that of the Lead Passenger's reservation name, as well as, any one else under the Lead Passenger's reservation. No travel outside the US is allowed without accurate official photo identification...passport, DL, etc.. Without official photo ID accurately matching the Lead Passenger & those under the LP's reservation...you won't be boarding that ship & leaving the US, hahaha.
No, you can't change the name of the "Lead Passenger" once the cruise is sold out, which this cruise has been sold out for some time now. The "Lead Passenger" is the person who originally made the reservation in their name. Had the cruise not been sold out, then Action could've transferred his lead passenger reservation to someone elses name for a fee of $300...but not now since it's sold out.
What you are referring to wanda is that names of those who are included under the lead passengers cabin reservation, can be changed...the fee to do this is based upon a variety of deadline dates.
Below is the policy for reservation name changes, etc...
NAME CHANGES:
*Lead Passenger changes $299, No Lead Passenger changes after a sell-out, or after 02/15/2010
*One free name change (excluding Lead Passenger changes) prior to 02/15/2010. $50 fee for additional changes prior to 02/15/2010
*Name changes (excluding LP) or unknown guest additions made between 02/16/2010 and 04/22/2010 - $75 per change
*Name changes (excluding LP) or unknown guest additions made between 04/23/2010 and 04/29/2010 - $100 per change
hey i thought you could change the names of the people in the cabin if do it before december,so couldnt you sell them to someone else before then and them not even know. ill check with our contact mate and let you know cause we were having problems with one of our cabin mates and thats what she found out.
Won't work Greg...Sixthman won't allow Action to transfer their reservation into someone elses name based upon their sold out policy. The only option Action has is to cancel his resevation, then Sixthman will sell his spot to the first available person on the waiting list.
I would imagine the reason they don't allow transfers on a sold out cruise...is to avoid scalping attempts.
If you are selling your spots on the cruise, then I would be intrested in one of them as long as I can pay just for myself.I have no problem with that but when sixthman wants to charge one person and have them pay for two people when two people DO NOT EXIST,I have a big problem with that. Please either leave me a message or send me an e-mail to (grego11743@hotmail.com)and lets talk before we do anything. If it's gone,it's gone and if you need 2 or 3 people, myself included to take over your cabin, you can easily find them here.
I agree. Hopefully the cruise will happen again. Trust me, I struggled with this decision, It wasn't easy.
Well, ya gotta follow what you feel is right in your hearts. That said, keep in mind the cruise is still 6 months away, the baby will be well over a year old by then. Chidren of course should be a first priority, but...couples need to devote some time to themselves also in order to be the best they can be for their children emotionally and physically. It takes alot of energy to be a parent...you need some time once in a while to reccover the energy lost. It's no different really than taking a vacation from any other life responsibility and/or job. :)
i'LL KEEP THE BABIES... yOU ALL NEED TO GO.....
It was a good Idea at the time., so I booked the tickets. We have a 7 month old and a 5 yr old. My wife got cold feet and we agreed we weren't ready to leave the baby behind.
I did buy the cancel for any reason insurance. I will call them Monday and see whats up. I will assume some penaltys for cancelling but hopefully I can recover some of my funds.
Thanks
Sixthman definitely comes out ahead on the profit margin side when people cancel and they pass those tickets on full price to the highest up on the waiting list...no doubt about it! I'm sure they have their reasons, but they still gain financially...seems unfairly taking advantage for sure.
I'm sorry you can't go now action, must be a bummer no doubt. :(
The main reason you can't just give them away or sell them to someone else while still in your name...is due to travel security restrictions & regulations, which have become even more strict since 9-11 of course. I did read where they say the tickets are non transferrable for the $300 once a cruise is sold out...which makes no sense. They don't lose out, so why should it matter if it's sold out or not if you transfer?
All deposits and payments made to Sixtman are non-refundable...so yeah, you're out, unless the insurance reimburses you of course. Did you buy the 'Cancel for any reason' insurance? That's the coverage that might reimburse you partially.
The people you see posting...aren't aware of the stipulations and regulations. They're posting they want to buy tickets, or that their tickets are for sale out right prior to doing their research of facts first with Sixthman. :(
