“Porn Parade”
She was only sixteen
Looking for the California dream
Untouched so beautiful
Skin just like cream
Went to rehearsal
To shoot her first scene
Wound up in the back room
Down on her knees
Used to be kind of fun
But now she’s all used up inside
Made some money, bought some drugs
Lot’s of forgotten drunken nights
Tells her boyfriend lies
Can’t look him in the eyes
When she looks in the mirror
What she sees she despises
Sadie had it made
No, she never should have strayed
Innocence lost, look at how much it cost
Porn Parade, Porn Parade
As the camera starts to roll
This child Sadie
No Nancy, haha...not helping win over the voters in the way you took it, lol. IE: Helping him by gaining him access to different locations throughout MI for campaign rallies, etc.. Basically, helping him to campaign in MI, which in turn brings in votes. :)
I just love when you repsond to her ramblings.... thanks for reminding her how ignorant she really is....
Nancy, you are one of the most uneducated people I have come across on here..
From what i read the Problems starting in Oct 2007 were not only her fault but a decision made between her and the Republican lawmakers that came up with the tax increases. Why does she get all the blame? Ya'll say Bush gets blamed for everthing but it's not his fault, same for Granholm.
Barack is our President elect, he will make the best decisions he can for our future. I think he will be a great president, and our country will benefit from it. Bush had his time, 8 years. Even with all his mistakes, there have been more than a few, he is still given the benefit of the doubt. Our new president elect deserves the same respect. I know I would not want his job! :-) I have the highest respect for Barack Obama, he will do a great job and I am proud to have him as our President.
PS the voters of Michigan have spoken and very loudly. And I did it on my own without any special friendship with the Gov. I've never even met the lady...
You all do realize I assume, that Presidents appoint people to particular duties, positions, etc...as a return promise in some way for their contribution to that President somehow? IE: Obama offered Hilary an Ambassadorship if she would forgive & forget, stand up & support him publicly after he defeated her in the primary.
In that case, Obama would be appointing Granholm not to benefit anyone, rather a promise fulfilled for benefiting him somehow. My guess would be she helped him in some way, known or unknown...win over the voters of Michigan.
Not being sarcastic here, but I don't get it...how is he helping Michigan by giving her a job related to his Presidency? Worse yet...a possible Supreme Court Justice? Obviously her decision making rational has negative results for citizens. Her term as Governor is near ending from what I read above...from my perspective the best thing for all in Michigan & possibly all of America...would be to let her term end, never appoint or elect her to a position of power again?
OK I do not know her but this is what I found
Jennifer Mulhern Granholm (born February 5, 1959 in Vancouver, British Columbia) is a Canadian-born American politician, former Attorney General of Michigan, and the current Governor of the U.S. state of Michigan.
A member of the Democratic Party, Granholm became Michigan's first female governor on January 1, 2003, when she succeeded Governor John Engler.
Granholm was re-elected on November 7, 2006, and was sworn in for her second and, due to term limits, final term on January 1, 2007. She has been mentioned as a potential Supreme Court justice for President-elect Barack Obama, the winner of 2008 presidential election.
Second term
The 2006 elections saw a return to power by the Democrats in the Michigan State House of Representatives but the retention of Republican control over the Michigan Senate.
The partisan division of power in Michigan's state government led to a showdown between Granholm and Republican lawmakers over the FY2008 state budget that resulted in a four-hour shutdown of non-essential state services in the early morning of October 1, 2007 until a budget was passed and signed.
The budget cut services, increased the state income tax and created a new set of service taxes on a variety of business activities, from ski lift tickets to interior design and landscaping, to address a state budget shortfall.
As a result of the controversial budget, some taxpayer and business advocates called for a recall campaign against Granholm and lawmakers who voted for the tax increases.
The budget crisis eventually led Standard & Poors to downgrade Michigan's credit rating from AA to AA-.
Additionally, the crisis contributed to sinking approval ratings for Granholm, which stood at 43 percent in August 2007, to a low of 32 percent in December 2007.
what else should we know?
Riiiiiiiiiight.....
