Kid Rock Working On New Songs

In an interview prior to the Michigan International Speedway from this past Sunday, Kid Rock briefly spoke about the new songs he is currently working on which seem to mirror the tough times folks in Michigan and the automotive industry are going through.

"I have a song called Midwest Farmers Im working on. Another one called In Times Like These and another, Care. A whole bunch of them that are really inspirational from everything I see around me.

"For a lot of years I was very young and very wild. I talked about drinking and women and fun things like that. But when I got older and my son got older, the song business had changed and grown, and theres a lot of stuff were writing now that reflects the times were going through right now."

You have been blessed with many talents. It's so great that you share them with us. Your right that when we mature we look at the aspects of life differently. I'm so excited to hear it! I know it will be real. Lots of love!

can't wait to hear the new songs =}passed 13 of those nascar trailers on I-80 coming from MI. on my way home, but the drive to Iowa was alot different than last yr. you can see on the faces of the ppl. and hear in the noise of the semi trailers that rolled by Me (empty).. the sign of the times !! ~but the ppl. still have spirit and faith..and that is always a welcome sign =} THERE WAS ONE PARTICULAR CONSTRUCTION AREA I CAME UP TO ON THE INTERSTATE , AND THEY HAD A HUGE FLAG ERECTED ON THE SITE , I COULD SEE THERE WAS AN ARMY TRUCK A FEW VEHICLES IN FRONT OF ME~ IT WAS VERY TOUCHING!!! I COULD JUST IMAGINE HOW IT MADE THEM FEEL :) WHEN THE LANES OPENED BACK UP AND I PASSED THAT ARMY TRUCK, THEY HONKED ......AND I BELIEVED WHOLE HEARTEDLY THEY WERE HONKING BECAUSE OF THE KID ROCK STICKER ON THE BACK OF MY WINDOW...AND I WAS NEVER PROUDER OF LIVING IN MI. BEING AN AMERICAN OR BEING ASSOCIATED W/ YOU~ YOU ARE AN AMAZING PERSON!!! ThanK YoU BabYDolL, LoVe YoU So000 much-(hugs)

I can't help but think...the music industry hasn't changed, Kid Rock has changed. As someone who will be turning 40 in a few more months, I think that seeing the world from a different point of view is just part of, dare I say, growing up. It doesn't mean you can't still kick ass and let loose...and even sing about drinking and women. Hell, we'd all be disappointed if he didn't; especially, all of us women. It just means you care a little more about the world around you. What does it say at the end of "Cocky"? There's more to the world then just you. Rock on!
