One smile, or one dollar at a time I have been blessed with presence of a speical boy who has been couragiouslky battling cancer(neauroblastoma) since misdiagnoses at age 4 and a half.
Now ten, and having already survived chemo,radiation and misery for years, his Mom was informed that Edan has yet another cancerous tumor in his throat.
I am setting up a benefit $Poker run and music event to raise funds for Edan and his single Mom . Edan's father died when he was just two.
September 19th 2009 Beloit Wisconsin Registar at Turtle tap 11.Am
Leaving at 12.Noon heading north to stop at 5 bar's for poker hand. 50/50 pay out(as this is a fund raiser event and when bikes return there will be live music from local bands that have donated time to Edan.
Lots of prizes and raffles as the local businesses have been kind and generous.
Edan lives primarly in and out of hospitals, his Mom lives to care for him leaving her unable to work full time yetb she works part time caring for a disabled gentleman.
Gratitude rocks Edan picked from river banks are being sold and im reaching out to America to ask for PRAYERS, suggestions/ and help.
Make a wish foundation blessed Edan 6 months after diagnoses as they didnt expect him to live this long. they sent him to Hawaii..
The big island is all He talks about now and wishes to go...
If I do one thing meaningfull in life it will be to try and make this boy smile laugh and feel joy to the best of my ability,

I have a babygirl on the way now and she will be named Briana. Brian is my brother and anna was my grandma's middle name thus Brianna**

This is so sad,poor little boy.My thoughts are with you.I dont understand why these have to happen to innocent childern,it breaks my heart,no child should have to go through that.Stay strong for Edan.

I must say that its watching a child suffer or hearing of someones loved one suffering that humbles me and makes me truly realize the shortness of life and the true purpose*wich is love***

Brandon, this is just terrible, and I feel so badly for that child. St Judes is full of these poor kids. Breaks my heart. Bad enough to be afflicted with an awful disease, but, not to have been treated properly....

Oh Brandon that is so sad... Why are kids punished with these horrible, horrible illness'. My stepson Robert who passed in 2005 just shy of his 21st birthday had lung cancer.. I couldnt believe it...The kid comes to visit us for a couple of weeks.. He was 17 at the time..He's coughing and coughing, so I ask him how long has he been coughing for.. He says a while. A while how long is a while. MONTHS..His crack head mother never took him to the dr. So I call my dr. He says bring him to the er and get a chest xray. being he's not my patient I don't want to prescribe anything yet.. So I take him.. The ER, dr. came in the room after the xray and I could tell by the look on his face something was wrong... He puts the xray on the lighted board and says.."He has a tumor in his lung larger than my fist..needless to say we rushed him down to Manhattan and so on. He died a couple of years later thanks to his mother he overdosed.. I was like he survived cancer and you killed him anyway.. so so sad... I couldn't go to the funeral I would have killed her on the spot.. I begged that boy to come live with us for years, but he had twin younger brothers and was afraid to leave them....
