    Burned on Ebay purchasing Kid Rock Tickets

    I just want to share an ebay story. I have been on Ebay for about eight years, I have purchased Kid Rock tickets and other concert tickets as well as many items on Ebay. Well the end of my Ebay purchases has arrived. Since I didnt have the opportunity to get online when the Pre Sale for Universal Amphiteatre in So Cal was happening, I went ahead and went over to Ebay to find some Pit Tickets. I searched for a seller that had much positive feedback, and went ahead and bid, I lost the auction, but the seller emailed me and said that she still had tickets left to sell and that I could bid on those, there were four pit tickets, and I went ahead and took the buy it now option, and paid a little over 400.00 for the tickets.
    Well now the seller has 3 negative feedbacks within the last three days all for taking money for concert tickets that she did not have. I have already started the process of filing a complaint with Ebay/PayPal and will probably only recover a portion of the money I spent, and I will probably end up with shitty ass seats for the show. I feel like a total tool right now, but I did make sure that I went with a seller that had a lot of positive feedback so I felt pretty secure with my transaction. I wanted to give the other tickets to friends as gifts and now I will have to deliver the news that I am not going to get the tickets and I really cant afford to fork out for 4 more tickets. I am mainly just venting here and wanted to tell anyone that decides to buy concert tickets on Ebay, to think long and hard before you do it. I have learned my leson the hard way.

I have purchased kid rock tickets 3 times on E-bay thank god i got honest people while dealing with e-bay but i am glad you shared this experience because it will be my last i will not take any more chances... and i am sorry you had bad luck... there r such ass holes out there... I did use my credit card to pay via paypal, so I also had some buyer protection. However, it takes a very long time to get he issue resolved. Paypal and the credit card company take their sweet time investigating the fraud. There is no way I would get the money back in time to purchase new tickets. Blah, I will still figure something out to be able to go to the concert. It just a yuckie feeling inside when you get into a situation like this. No big surprise the seller has not replied to any of my emails sent in the past few days. I guess she doesnt even want to bother to come up with more lies.

This does not surprise me both my hubby and son have gotten some really rotten deals on ebay with less than satisfactory resolve. I usually prefer Craigs list but I am always very careful there too. I usually choose to meet personally in lighted public places and I always bring an entourage to watch my back. I am so sorry this has happened. Better Luck next time. Peace
