Sometimes I wish I were a little kid again, skinned knees are easier to fix than broken hearts.

Thank you all, it has been a very hard month, I know everyone suffers with the loss of a family member.
I just have to remind myself that only god knows why these things happen to people so young.
It really sucks when something bad happens and everything else just seems to have a snowball effect on the family.

Best wishes to you in these hard days, Good you have a lot of family around you. Funerals for loved ones suck. Been there and done that. My hubby died Sept 05 07 Today that is one year ago. I still sob my eyes out. There are many of us in the same stinking boat. Keep you memories, they will still make you sad, but that is what we have. And keep your friends close This is a sad time but we will make it through with family and friend support. Best wishes to you.

I am waiting at DIA, my plane leaves in about 1 hour.
It is very sad that I will be seeing many family members that I have not seen for so long at such a sad time.
We all grew up together and were so very close, more like brothers and sisters, and there is a lot of us.
You see my dad had 2 sisters and 3 brothers. There are 25 cousins. We spent a lot of time in Arizona at one of many mines...
Us kids we had so much fun, all 25 of us.
Sometimes we were there all year and Nana would school all of us,
And sometimes we were there just for the summers.
Not too many kids get to watch a mountainside blow up...
Or get to have dad dig a huge hole with a big cat, for a swimming pool that a fresh spring fills...
The best had to be sitting around the campfire at night...
Everyones tired form the long hot days
And aunt veta just play's her guitar.
Most of the 25 cousin's picked up on it, some of us have never played but one things for sure we all love music
It feed's our souls.
Just a few memories...
Now I just need to focus, and see how I can help those poor babies that lost their daddy.
I just pray for strength tomorrow morning when I see them
My deepest condolences sweetie. I'm healing from my brothers loss 6 months ago. The only thing that seems to help when I begin to miss him so terribly, is to remind myself he is not gone...he is with me in every way that matters most...he is in my heart forever. Someday we will be reunited face to face. Godspeed.
Dear Carol...having my oldest son die at age 21, my heart feels for you, and you're in my prayers...but please try to keep in mind that your cousin's passing is not a loss, you know exactly where he is and that in fact you will see him again one day...this much I do know...much love, as always, Lori
