I wanted to take a second to write and say I was in COB Speicher Iraq in Dec of 07 when Kid Rock, Robin Williams, Louis Black, Lance Armstrong and Miss USA put on a USO tour... what a Lifelong memory it made to me to know how much support they gave. KID ROCK.... IF U EVER GET BACK TO SHREVEPORT, PLEASE LOOK ME UP....I have a GREAT picture of you and I on that bus at the runway at Speicher when the sand storm blew in and kept u tied down. I think it is wonderful that my daughter's poem "A Soldier" is loved and people are seeing it but it should also have her name attached. The author of this peom is Angela Goodwin or Angela Aguilar. Please be sure she gets the credit for it as she has it copywrited. Thank you, Chris Aguilar

A Soldier "There is discipline in A Soldier you can see it when he walks, There is honor in A Soldier you hear it when he talks. There is courage in A Soldier you can see it in his eyes, There is loyalty in A Soldier that he will not compromise. There is something in A Soldier that makes him stand apart, There is strength in A Soldier that beats from his heart. A Soldier isn't a title any man can be hired to do, A Soldier is the soul of that man buried deep inside of you. A Soldier's job isn't finished after an 8 hour day or a 40 hour week, A Soldier is always A Soldier even while he sleeps. A Soldier serves his country first and his life is left behind, A Soldier has to sacrifice what comes first in a civilian's mind. If you are civilian - I am saying this to you..... next time you see A Soldier remember what they do. WOW! Thank you so much for sharing that with us! That was truly amazing and moving! I am so glad you take the time to not only share things about your career here, but things that you as a person believe in, because believe it or not, those of us who truly support you, not only as an artist, but as a person too, really care about those things too. And we stand behind you in the things you support...And I must say supporting the troops is something we must all be proud to do!! I'm so blessed that through following you and hearing what you've had to say over the years about supporting the troops, it has emphasized to me why we must all together support them! Thank you for showing that to me! It never fails, anything you believe in never surprises me, and everything you believe in is so real and for good reasoning! You have never said anything or believed in anything that seemed fake or insincere, and you've always been so genuine to support the things you do! What I'm saying is that if you support something, whether I understand it fully or not, I know there must be a good reason to support it, because you've always had good reasons for why you believe the way you do. saw that on tv today a cpl. times , i kind of lose it everytime ..feels like a brick hits me in the heart , while tears are running down my face by the time the boy gets to his dad, ...and at the same time i have this big ass Smile because they are finally together again :) the feeling of respect n admiration for all of them n their families , that I have is hard for me to put into words ~ You do that well though SunShinE :) (thanks for keeping it real w/us n' sharing your thoughts,days,inspirations, info, etc. here) LoVe you much,Always (hugs)
