Ready To Roll Again With New Songs

NEW YORK (Billboard) - Kid Rock says he's "on fire" in the studio, which has led him to scuttle plans to tour this spring in order to finish work on his follow-up to 2007's double-platinum album "Rock N Roll Jesus."

"I really feel like I've kind of got this figured out," the rapper and singer-songwriter tells Billboard. "I think I can make an equally good record, if not better than the last one -- which is once again putting quite a weight on your shoulders. But I do like the pressure."

Rock has been working at his Allen Roadhouse studio in the Detroit suburbs with his Twisted Brown Trucker Band -- particularly guitarist Marlon Young, who co-wrote several songs on "Jesus" -- as well as good friend Uncle Kracker, longtime engineer Al Sutton and producer/engineer Mike E. Clark (Insane Clown Posse, George Clinton, Primal Scream). Rock hopes to have the album finished before he hits the road this summer and put it out in the fourth quarter.

"Obviously I had a great year in 2008," Rock says, "one of my best since (1999's "Devil Without a Cause" album) -- maybe even better considering the times we're in. We're at a point where you do something and then it's forgotten, and I'll have to prove myself again, and that's just incredible. People need to be reminded sometimes, and sometimes being humble doesn't do that so well."

To add to what I've already written, I agree with what everyone else has said here. To those of us who follow youu, those of us who are a solid part of your fan base that will always be around, you don't have to prove yourself at all. Just do what you do best naturally! Love ya and will see ya in July babe!! Chas in St. Louis, MO

I like it! Working is great. I'm sure if it is not a Micheal Tribute You will be just fine. Cannot wait to check it out! Alway working is good, Keeping it new and advancing forward, looking ahead. You have definately grown. And that makes you better. Live and Learn. As far as being humble... always be HUMBLE. That makes you even better. But, as you well know be you.

With as good as you and TBT are there wil never be a time when you will have to prove yourself at least not to all of the fans that pretty much worship all of you. I also think Stephanie is bad ass ! ! ! ! ! As an artist you are extremely talented and well seasoned and running right up there with the big dogs. You are a real artist and one of the best as far as alot of people are concerned. I know for me listening to your music on my ipod makes being a line cook in a bar go faster and makes it more enjoyable, thats for damn sure. So keep doing what your doing and all of us fans out there will keep listening. Best wishes and gods speed with the new album can't wait to buy it. Teresa

Oh, believe me, I'm ready and waiting, darlin!!! I don't care what it is your singing, I'll buy it, love it, and jam to it at every opportunity!!!! You have no idea how pumped up you get me, whether it is something new or one of your current songs. I go crazy whether I get to hear you speak and it is your sexy ass speaking voice, or your hot singing voice! If I would've had you sing all my textbooks when I was in college, I would have graduated with a perfect 4.0, because I soak up every word I hear from you, whether it is sung or spoken from your mouth! Damn, you hot MF'ER, I hope to meet you sometime again, because it's been a year, and I'm still talking about when we last met, so hope to have another experience to start remembering!!!! Love ya! I think if I would have had you sing all my textbooks in college, I would have graduated with a perfect 4.0!! Because I eat up every word I hear you say or sing, no matter if it's your sexy speaking voice, or your hot singing voice! You get me so damn pumped up anytime you sing, whether it's one of your current songs or something new!!! Hurry, I'm ready and anxiously waiting!! YOU HOT MF'er, I NEED TO MEET YOU AGAIN SOMETIME!!!
