The car was originally owned by Country Music legend Webb Pierce. He owned several of them over the years and he purchased the first one around 1961 from Hollywood clothier Nudie Cohen.
This is a 1964 Pontiac Bonneville Convertible. Original cost of the customization back in the day was rumored to be around $20,000. A sizable sum for the day, considering the car cost $4500 new.
I am inquiring now to the Pierce family to find out info about this car, and how KR happen to come by it.... if it was borrowed for the video or if he owns it now. It is a car steeped rich in Country Music history.
