HE DIDNT TAKE IT OUT ON ACS GM EVIDENTLY DID!!!!!!!!
JGoldie's picture

Turns out he had a disagreement with GM, who was PAYING him to perform. So he took it out out on the ACS and his fans that paid to attend the event. What a tool. He won't live this down. This is all over the news now. And he isn't even man enough to disclose the reason. American Dumbass
kidrockangel's picture

From The care video shoot.... And they got to put the Relay for Life on the mural on the building’s wall. “This isn’t about me,” she said. “It’s really about bringing more attention to the American Cancer Society and the Relay for Life. It’s about caring enough to make a difference."

So you think you are cool to come here and talk shit You are so disappointed and throwing a fit. If you can't see his heart you must be blind!

I'm sure they will find someone to replace him and its for charity people...Bob would never intentionally rip someone off..."true" fans know that. Get a clue, get a life, whatever you need to tell yourself that you paid $350 to go to a charity dinner...Bob just happened to be performing at...eat your dinner and STFU!
rocknrollstroll's picture

I've read a lot of the comments and understand...why the people who payed lg bucks to go to this event are upset.. However... If u are such a huge kid rock fan, than u would also know that there is a bloody good reason why this is not going down! IMHO This man would never ....never...cancel a gig, especially for this type of charity, unless there was a fuckin good reason. Just be patient... It will all come out in the wash. I have faith in him:) U rock bob.. Hope ur good!

American BadAss? More like American DumbAss...what a Loser!

Kid Rock is a man of his word. He gives in so many ways and does so much for so many people and causes. He stands up for what he believes in and that's what makes him such a great man. Kudos to the ones paying $350 a ticket. They are there to donate anyway. They are giving to a cause they believe in and that is hopefully just what they will do. Hopefully the organizers will get their crap together next time and stick to their word as far as contracts go. Breach of contract is breach of contract. God bless all of the cancer victims and survivors and may they raise lots of funds Saturday!

It is a shame either way. Maybe he found out that the money being raised was not going totally to the cause for the American Cancer Society. Who knows. We may never know. Just disappointing for those who wanted to see Kid perform as well as help a good cause. I personally know people who paid for a 10 person table who love Kid Rock and they are really disappointed. Sorry case for everyone involved. It is too bad.

BONEHEAD SAYS: "Some things are bigger than being right. Think about it. Another black eye for Detroit." Yep, this is all over the national news now and blowing up on Twitter. He is looking like an idiot to cancel an appearance at a huge charity event that has been promoting him as the headliner. Even here on his fanpage overall consensus is that it is not the right thing to do.
blondie17's picture

I am sure there is a good reason. I wish more people were like you that would stand by their word. Wish you nothing but the best.
cwilliams1934's picture

If you have nothing good to say, stay off the board. He is being professional by not discussing the details. Leave it at that. He is being respectful and a man of his word. Give him the same respect.
Disappointed's picture

Disappointing and unprofessional - cancelling a charity event appearance and at the last minute. If he doesn't perform at the Cattle Baron's Ball, I will never support anything he does again.

I don't think this is about money. He has so much money that his grandkids- grandkids couldn't spend it all. People are bashing him for cancelling and don't even know the reason why. I'm sure everything will come out eventually, then you can judge. But please wait for the facts first. He does a lot of things for charity. He is doing a "care" tour to raise money for charities. I'm sure he wants the best for ACS. He is always giving, even when he's not in the spotlight.
Renee_48's picture

Pretty sure he will donate tons of cash to this charity. I really wouldn't worry. It was a breach of contract.

Kid Rock is a good man that does good things. I am sure there are good reasons for his decision - good enough for me! Can't wait to see him in Kansas City!
kidrockangel's picture

STOP GUESSING.... YOU PEOPLE HAVE NO CLUE,,,lol
JGoldie's picture

@KIMBERLY....KR is more businessman (clothes, beer, himself) than entertainer. And being that he is a good business it's ALL about money. This is really bad for him and starting to become national news. He really needs to give a legit reason for cancelling...and trust me.....in will involve money.
LK's Soap Box's picture

@ Bart, it was the Download Festival. "I called the promoter and told him he had two hours to get it sorted or I was out." I highly doubt this about a "no publicity clause" gimme a break!! And, I'm no economist, but if anything he won't be making money, therefore he's "losing" money. But, like he said in the interview with Piers Morgan, having money does give one freedom to say FU and walk away. No doubt Kid is disappointed about this too. I do feel for all those that were so excited to have him be a performer at the event. But, the money "donated" is for a great cause, so try to remember that to ease your pain, which is nothing compared to the pain cancer patients go through.
KIMBERLY_53's picture

Really people you know this is NOT about Money or the Cancer Foundation or Anyone with or who has had Cancer.....This is Business...I as a Sole Proprietor for 24 years understand Breach of Contract. I kuddo him for sticking to his word...I have always told my son.." Son if you dont have your Word you have Nothing....Robert is a Entertainer to the average layman but he is also a Smart Bussiness Man He gives a lot of time, energy and money to various charitys and people he does this not for fame or reconigtion but because thats him.. Just as his word is his word ..... And yes he gets paid for the majority of his concerts this is his career....... P.S I'm not a groupie I'm a 49 year old sucessful business person.......

I am just happy to be alive (so no offense taken - @Denise). I can only speak for my situation, and for me the ACS did save my life...along with an amazing medical team...friends...family...prayer...luck...etc. I am sorry you didn't receive the support you needed. I am just concerned because some people will base a decision to not support the American Cancer Society solely on the fact that Kid Rock cancelled a show to support them.
kidrockangel's picture

For all of those here Bitching about KR stiffing a charity event, Maybe you should take your happy asses over to the charity section of this website and see what 1 Man has given..... I also am a cancer survivor and support ACS and all BC sites but im not foolish enuf to believe Crooked shit doesnt take place...... Until you know the reason and Im assuming Rock is holding back until he gets some answers, Maybe you shouldnt spread rumors....
