KID ROCK ANNOUNCES TOUR UNLIKE ANY OTHER, EVER.

    October 10, 2011

Kid Rock today announced a tour unlike anything ever done before. Kid Rock has assembled a team of Detroit titans to show support for other cities in need, and to show that Detroit, while experiencing it's own difficulties still has the power to unite to help others around the country. Kid Rock, in association with this powerhouse group of local Detroit business people, will donate money to local charities, causes and individuals via the Kid Rock Foundation, all along every stop of his underplay club tour. Radio station partners in each tour market will help determine those individuals and organizations in need. The tour will feature stops at Nashville's famed Ryman Theater and New York's Beacon Theater to name a few, a big change from Kid Rock's Born Free Tour, which saw him playing the country's biggest stadiums, arenas and amphitheaters. Some of the Detroit businesses and individuals to contribute include: Compuware Corporation, The Suburban Collection, Quicken Loans Inc., Fathead, The Detroit Pistons, Danialle and Peter Karmanos, Jr., Holly and Tom Gores, Catherine and Nathan Forbes, Gretchen and Ethan Davidson.

Kid Rock came up with the idea for this tour to coincide with the launch of his new single "Care," from his critically acclaimed platinum-selling 2010 album "Born Free." Says Kid Rock, "The song says 'the least that I can do is Care' - and I want to put my money where my mouth is. Everyone knows that Detroit is hurting. But I want to show that even though we don't have a lot on our own plate, it doesn't mean the people of my hometown don't have compassion to share with others all over the country. At the end of the day we're all Detroit, we're one country, one family".

The full itinerary and on sale information can be found below. Kid Rock will be backed by the one-of-a-kind Twisted Brown Trucker Band, his constant companions for many years on the road. Ty Stone will be support on all dates. Tickets for the tour will go on sale at 10 am on Saturday the 15th of October. Presale tickets are available to the Kid Rock Congregation.

Hey Cleveland Rocks....You are right...There would be nothing better than KR in D to kick off the holidays. You and I both heard him say he would wrap it up in Detroit. I believe....He won't let us down. Hope to see you there! It will happen. Have Faith, sex, drugs and rock and roll! LOL....

I can't put into words how awesome it is what you are doing and have done to give back. You are truly an amazing artist. Off topic..I'm disappointed you have ignored East Tennessee/Southwest Virginia since 2008. Knoxville, Bristol and Johnson City all LOVE you and the crowds were amazing. We miss you!

I admit, I am happy to see a Chicago show posted. I am however upset to see so many comments with people complaining about "why there?" Or "why not here?". Give Bobby a break. The guy just finishes touring the country, decides to do a few charity shows (in the goodfellow acceptance speech I think he said 12-15), and now people are bitching about it. What gives? Be happy he is doing the club tour at all. Be thankful and proud that he decided to do this for multiple charities and that by us purchasing tickets, we will not only get to see a great show, but will be supporting worthy causes in these cities.

Was hoping when Bobby announced this tour would start in the South and at small venues it would include the Filmore at Charlotte...no such luck...:(

Well Cleveland Rocks...the first time I looked at the itinerary there were only dates though November 26...Then when I looked a little later they ahd dates through the end of November but nothing in December. later I looked and they had added dates in December throught the 9th. I expect more tomorrow as things get firmed up. He promised one in Detroit abound Christmas....He won't disappoint! Hell, I would like to see him at the Ryman in Nashville. Who knows what might strike my fancy! .... Anyone want to pick me up on the way? :)

Tracy_22's picture

read the above post and then go to the post on krc and then go to the ticketing site link and then wait like everyone else for the presale info----as soon as it is up there we all should know---if i am not mistaken i usually get an email regarding the presale times and dates as well----i guess we all have to be a little patient

This is so sad nothing in Texas???? Nothing even close ,wh at about the South?
Tammy - I'm the one.'s picture

Oh no !! Where is MI??
Cleveland Rocks's picture

If that's the case LadyGoBlue, then the "fully itinery" ain't the full itinery?! I hope that's true, as I was really hoping to catch a show in the D this time, and nothing like a Kid Rock show in the D to ring in the season!
LadyGoBlue's picture

We will all know by Saturday Morning! God Bless Saturday! I live in SW MI so I can go in different directions. Grand Rapids, MI would be closest for me...I am hoping for a couple of dates in MI..??? That would be great!
Cleveland Rocks's picture

At the Goodfellows' Brunch you indicated that the tour would finish up with a show in Detroit around the holidays yet there is no indication of this in the above itinerary, which is stated to be the "full itinerary." Can you please clarify for those of us that must decide which direction we're headed to see you? Thanks in advance.

Calm down people. They will post and email when the dates and times are set. It's got to be in the next 4 days! Just keep checking like the rest of us are doing.
