KID ROCK ANNOUNCES TOUR UNLIKE ANY OTHER, EVER.

    October 10, 2011

Kid Rock today announced a tour unlike anything ever done before. Kid Rock has assembled a team of Detroit titans to show support for other cities in need, and to show that Detroit, while experiencing it's own difficulties still has the power to unite to help others around the country. Kid Rock, in association with this powerhouse group of local Detroit business people, will donate money to local charities, causes and individuals via the Kid Rock Foundation, all along every stop of his underplay club tour. Radio station partners in each tour market will help determine those individuals and organizations in need. The tour will feature stops at Nashville's famed Ryman Theater and New York's Beacon Theater to name a few, a big change from Kid Rock's Born Free Tour, which saw him playing the country's biggest stadiums, arenas and amphitheaters. Some of the Detroit businesses and individuals to contribute include: Compuware Corporation, The Suburban Collection, Quicken Loans Inc., Fathead, The Detroit Pistons, Danialle and Peter Karmanos, Jr., Holly and Tom Gores, Catherine and Nathan Forbes, Gretchen and Ethan Davidson.

Kid Rock came up with the idea for this tour to coincide with the launch of his new single "Care," from his critically acclaimed platinum-selling 2010 album "Born Free." Says Kid Rock, "The song says 'the least that I can do is Care' - and I want to put my money where my mouth is. Everyone knows that Detroit is hurting. But I want to show that even though we don't have a lot on our own plate, it doesn't mean the people of my hometown don't have compassion to share with others all over the country. At the end of the day we're all Detroit, we're one country, one family".

The full itinerary and on sale information can be found below. Kid Rock will be backed by the one-of-a-kind Twisted Brown Trucker Band, his constant companions for many years on the road. Ty Stone will be support on all dates. Tickets for the tour will go on sale at 10 am on Saturday the 15th of October. Presale tickets are available to the Kid Rock Congregation.

No Detroit??? OH NO! BUT, BUT, BUT...nooooo! This tour is a FANTASTIC reason to love Bobby! His heart is as big as the City of Detroit! Things like this make me love him more. My mom (62) couldn't see why I loved him until I took her to see to see him at Comerica Park, so she could get a break from taking care of my dad (72), who has cancer. Please excuse me while I put in a plug for Carmanos: After she saw the concert, my mom read about the Carmanos/Kid Rock connection & finally realized why I say I won't get married again unless it's to Bobby. His heart of gold is AMAZING! At the same time she read the article, my mom & dad had just been told by dad's doctors that there was nothing more they could do. Despite all of the treatments, his cancer keeps spreading. When he started, it was in is esophagus, & has now gone to his lungs & liver. The doctors gave us 3 options: 1) a 2nd opinion, 2. clinical trials, or 3. hospice. Not what we wanted to hear. Our hearts broke, & dad went out looking at urns. She then decided to try to get my dad into Carmanos. Right from the start they were WONDERFUL! Dad is now starting a clinical trial at Carmanos. Everyone else said there was nothing more they could do for him. My mom & her husband have been together almost 30 years, & although he's not my biological father, he is the man I call Dad - my real father doesn't deserve that title. Carmanos is the only place that gave us any hope at all. All we got before was bad, God-awful news after every test. Carmanos accepting him for a trial was like a gift from God. Dad's heart is as big as Bobby's and we arent ready to lose him - and he's not ready to give up. My mom stays close to dad, & was thrilled when I told her about this more "intimate' tour. Going to be hard to find a substitute night out she would have enjoyed as much!
