October 5, a wonderful night ... and lots more followed !!!
God Gave you a Precious Gift to HOLD Onto, while you walked that staircase ... a true blessing.
Motorcitymamma and Angela.... I have to admit Motorcitymamma when I read your post I was a bit disappointed. I wouldn't of expected that from him as he has always appreciated his fans. However, I do understand that if he gave you a picture then everyone else would want one as well then he would be tied down taking pictures for who knows how long. But to say "I'll be right back" and just leave wasn't cool. Could have said that he would rather not because he really wanted to enjoy the game shook your hand and walked away. I have been to over 20 some concerts saw him in Dallas in February during Super Bowl was at Hotel ZaZa in Dallas same hotel he was staying at never ran into him at the hotel although many of my friends saw him.
Angela...I totally get the being heart broken and feeling differently afterwards.
I've met Chellio's and Uncle Kracker and they were both very gracious and friendly. Took pictures with me too.
Hopefully next time you'll have a better experience.
Lions and Tigers and Kid Rock OH MY!!! ok, so you got the Joe booked for the end of this month....now all you need to book is the PALACE before year end and you'll have all the D's houses rocked this year! :D pleez, pleez!!! c'mon, u r our team's good luck charm ;)
Dear Angela, Believe me i had mixed emotions. I truly hope he will realize i wanted to thank him for his music because it makes me and my family happy. A connection would have been great but now thats his loss! Chances are we could meet again and i hope next time he dosent blow it!! Safe travels and happy times when you visit! Go Tigers and Lions... BOO i m gonna miss alot in Hawaii for 2 weeks!
Lucky Duck Motorcitymamma!! I will def try next time :P
But not sure even if I want to meet him...cause I don't wanna be dissed like that, lol, I would be heart broken and then I might not feel the same about him after, lol!!!!
Heading down to the D in November to see back to back Red Wings games. I love your City People! My Dad was a big fan of the City as well. He use to bring us down in the early 80's. We use to come watch my Uncle play for the Wings in the early 80's.
Dear ANGELA from Canada, One has to know someone well to get upstairs. I made it thru a friend and was told don't talk to him but i was intoxicated and very excited so i thought fuck it i am standing right next to him so i told him i m a big fan (true) and asked for a picture. He looked me right in the eye and said "I 'll be right back" I 'm still waiting!! I have to say I was disappointed but i felt lucky anyway to be so close to his intriging presence. If i could do it over i woulda bought him a drink and got his number! I was totally STARstruck, you cant blame a girl for trying! As for Mr Chelios and Unkle Kracker on seperate occasions I've had the pleasure and got my photo. No Hard Feelings, Bob still love ya.
My hubby and I were on the first floor at Cheli's with our Tiger's Kid 40 jerseys on while you were probably taking this photo from above. People kept coming up to me to ask me about it.

My sister (who is up from Alabama visiting) and I decided last minute yesterday afternoon to buy game tickets and drive to the D from Kalamazoo. I actually saw you in Allegan last month, Comerica in August and Grand Rapids shortly after your b-day. Can't wait to see you again. Last night while we were standing in line to get into the stadium before the game, "Cowboy" was blasting out the speakers directly behind me, and as I sang along I said to my sister "I bet Kid is here tonight, wish we could see him perform again and watch the Tigers kick some ass!" But neither of those happened :( there will be a next time, and they will kick some ass come tomorrow night. Oh yea, after the game, since it was way too late to stop at the Woodshop, we walked around Greektown and I found the cutest pink MID zippo at a store next to fishbone. P.S I love it that my local Meijers sells BADASS!
Hopefully see ya soon, Melissa D.
Go Tigers!!! Being a Red Sox fan up in New England I hate the Yankees!! Really hope the Tigers kick their asses! Went to Detroit for one of the shows in August & loved Comerica Park!! Good Luck Tigers!!
Me & my gal pal partied there after your concert, Aug. 13th, till 3am! We had an excellent time Downtown Detroit! No one bothered us, except to bum my Canadian Cigarettes haha, all night! How does one get upstairs at the Chili House ;) ?

My daughters boyfriend is 17. He was diagnosed with Wilms-Tumor at age 6. Since then he has had a kidney removed, reoccurring cancer 4 times, multiple surgeries, given his last rights and most recently beat it for the 4th time, having chemo for approx 9 months. His life has been a living hell for the last 11 years. He just had another surgery yesterday. His chest looks like a battlefield of scars and he is very thin.
Of the 4 friends he has with wilms-tumor, only 2 are surviving, 2 have passed. Our goal is to give him as much happiness and life experience as we can, because you never know.
Attached is the his testimony, as he was the honorary chairperson for the ACS Relay for Life locally in August.
He is an awesome kid, wonderful outlook on life, he is a drummer in a band. I have seen him do chemo then bald, tired, sick and crawl out of his bed to play a benefit or concert. Then literally be so wiped out, have to almost be helped off the stage to go home.
Amazing how one can learn from a 17 yo kid.
His mother, my daughter and I were trying to figure out how to be able to get him to go to this ACS fundraiser and see Kid Rock. He loves him.
However it is out of our price range.
How does one get his story out there in hopes of maybe getting tix and a bonus would be a meet and greet?
There is soooooo much too this poor kids story, I dont even know where to begin. It is sad.
And last, as his last chemo was taking place, his parents split. My heart just bleeds for this special kid.
What can I do to help him get to see the concert? Or is there anyone I can contact? He is obviously a huge supporter of ACS.
Also his mom has been keeping a blog for years. http://www.dustancolyer.blogspot.com/ if you read back over the years, you can see what they have gone through.
I knew you'd be there cheering on Ty and the Tigers! Ty did an amazing job! Hope the Tigers rebound tomorrow night. How great would that be for your beloved Detroit! I'm a lifelong Reds fan, but I will be cheering for the Tigers all the way to the World Series!
I read that Ty was scheduled to sing the National Anthem, so I thought you might be there. I hoped they would play it on TBS prior to the game, but they didn't.
Glad you had fun.
Go Tigers - Fister will take care of business in the Bronx tomorrow night!
