Help! I've got the same jean jacket in black! And I also HATE speeches in front of people.....For example; I had to do 2 speeches in my 9th grade all girl Catholic highschoo,l in this real strict nun's class. I decided to do the first speech on Marajuanna and it's effects (that was before I started to smoke it), then shoplifting of all things (something never did other than a piece of bubble gum when I was a kid). Anyway she wrote on my paper that I was swaying from side to side shifting my weight from foot to the other foot too much, meaning that I looked nervous and my head was down too much therefore you couldn't hear me that well. I noticed the same thing with Kid here. It's hard to believe with his outspoken attitude, that he, of all people would ever appear to be nervous. Maybe since he's been so exposed to the whole world and his life is all out there in front of us through his music and his celebrity. It just goes to show you that he's just like anyone of us....After all he's only human ya know. Keep your chin up Kid. You always do your best and you should accept any honor that comes your waywhich I know you do.....AND obviously you've earned it.....No need to be too humble, even though you are, that's what I really like about you. Your cockyness may have come with a price ( I paid that price in a way when I put your name on my car 12 yrs. ago). At least your not a phony, and I'm not getting any more slack when I'm driving! ( but I do admit that I really do enjoy being called Kid Rock for some odd reason). Ha,ha,ha! You Go Boy!

Loved the speach and how humble you are for the recognization you're finally getting for giving back and helping others. Thank you for everything you do for your community, our country and our military personnel. Love how much you're always willing to assist others in need. I don't think anyone is such a great ambassador for Detroit or Michigan as you are. Also loved that you're going back to play additional concerts in select clubs throughout the country later this year, hopefully Charlotte is on that short list. Since part of this concert series will include giving back to the local communities too why not ask us fans to assist you in giving back to their communites. Ask the fans to bring grocery gift cards or checks for their local food banks or gift cards for the military families deployed overseas (to help with Christmas presents for their kids). I know the National Guard always have families that need help at Christmas and I'm sure other military branches have the same needs.

This well deserved honor, going out to one most deserving Mr. Ritchie. For all that he and his foundation do to make not only Detroit, but also the rest of the world, a better place to be. The humanity and compassion shown by Bob and his foundation sets one hell of a grand example of just how much of a difference ONE MAN can make. There are many people out there who CAN make a difference, they just don't choose to take the time or energy to do so. But Bob does more than just "CAN "make...he actually "DOES" make a difference, with his selfless generosity and commitment to this cause. Funny how people like to trash talk all day long about his rather wild, and seemingly wreckless, lifestyle..when in reality, Bob is just Bob, and Bob happens to also be Kid Rock, which puts him in the spotlight no matter what he is doing. He is 100% REAL and is who he is. No candy coating, no false impressions, what you see is what you get...PERIOD! He doesn't pretend to be the Pope, or claim anything even close to sainthood. Nothing phoney about him. He is as genuine as the day is long which is more than I can say about most of the people who sit and harshly judge him from afar. Like they say, and this is a great example, "Don't judge another, until you have walked a thousand miles in his shoes" Bob does so much more good than he ever does "bad", and he isn't out there hurting anyone, so PLEASE!!! It just so happens that things that are considered BAD to some people, just so happen to be considered a whole lotta F..ing FUN to him. SO BE IT! LIVE and let LIVE!
