Kid Rock announced plans for a fall club tour Friday morning at the Old Newsboys Goodfellow Fund of Detroit's annual tribute breakfast, where Rock was honored as the Edward H. McNamara Goodfellow of the Year.

He said the tour will benefit a to-be-named cultural organization in Detroit, and he hopes to raise around $1 million.

"I want to go out as an ambassador of goodwill for Detroit and Michigan," he said, promising to name the tour's benefactor at a later date.

In addition, Rock said he will raise money for organizations in each town he visits. He expects to donate around $25,000 in each of the 15 or so cities on the tour.

Details are still being ironed out, but Rock expects to launch the month-long outing in the South in mid-November, wind around the country and end back in Detroit "right before Christmas." No venues have been firmed, but a date — or dates — at the Fillmore Detroit or Fox Theatre seem likely.

Hi Bob, I hope u get a chance to read these, get an idea of where your fans want you to play (everywhere, I know!!) Here in Vermont, we got hit pretty badly by Hurricane Irene. Just up the road from me here in Montpelier 74 out of 83 trailers were demolished, mostly lower income and elderly. Our own home was ok, but my husband lost his job when the Waterbury State complex was under 9 feet of water. They don't plan on reopening so now we deal with unemployement and job hunting. At 50, it's not pleasant. Playing in Vermont would bring some much needed income to the state, and put a big smile on my husbands face ( and many others!) So please Bob, consider us for one of your club dates. There are a few venues in VT that would be perfect (Higher Ground is one that Grace Potter plays at each year) . Thanks for all you do for everyone.

How awesome to see you at a club in a small venue, and have it benefit charities?! My birthday is November 19th so this will be a great birthday gift if you play in Milwaukee, Chicago or Detroit, I'm there! Can u PLEASE PLEASE offer a presale to the KRC? Pretty please? Thanks Bobby!

“One Outstanding Optimist” boards on the rock n roll train. Unselfish is the Kid as he begins his push through the I-75 contributing a difference to make a honorable change. A reflection of a Clear Caring Connection in “Times Like These” A new sensation of Peace, Love and Joy. Standing firm in the windows of existence. I just listen to the news report and the speech you gave and what all your plans are to do with this small club tour. I think this is wonderful and this is coming from someone that is a single mom that has work three jobs 2 full time 1 part time to provide I finally went to work for a Pipe Line Co. out of Rosebush MI.. My daughter at age 5 started having problems in school. We later found out she was ADD and now she is 17 and they say she is BI-Polar I have had a time with her. My son they noticed things in pre-school I ignored it and then his kindergarden teacher said he needed to be tested. They tested him I also took him to a Dr. he has High Functioning Autisum and ADHD. He can function he is just on the go all the time certian things get to him more then others. He also has no short term memory he dosen't retain day to day stuff. But he does play sports they half to repeat the plays to Chris but he is a good football player, w/ good coaches! I have stood strong for my kids from day one it has been hard. But it is nice to see you are willing to take what you have worked for and give to the country to the state to the city of Detriot!! I was sent over to Trinidad by my Co. to work now I've been sick for going on 2yrs. my son is in a Mititary school and my daughter is in a reform school all b/c my mom had them and they were fighting with each other and now days brothers and sisters can't fight anymore so the judge took them from my mom and sent them off while I was out at the Mayo Clinic due to my Health so here is a judge using the goverments money for nothing. My kids aren't abused, neglected, hungry nor do they go with out they have a house in Michigan on the lake in Lake George and they have a house in KY. It's things like this, wonder how many more kids don't belong? Spending the goverments money we don't have! This is alot but hearing what you said, just brought tears to my eyes. Your doing such a great thing!!

Good on ya Bobby! This is what selfless, forward thinking, hard working, huge hearted people do with all of their talents...they make the world a better place! The community participation in each of the cities on your tour will lead the way for better community involvement and support. We all need this! Whatever cultural organization to be named will have an opportunity to help so many with your generous gift. Organic Farming and feeding the hungry in the U.S.? I'll hit any of your NW club shows...please let there be lots! You're my hero! God Bless You!
