Here are more highlights from an article by 'Michigan Live' where Kid Rock is interviewed talking about his 'American Badass Beer.'

In the winter of 2008, Belgian giant InBev, makers of Beck’s and Stella Artois, acquired the iconic American beer maker Anheuser-Busch Cos. for $52 billion, creating Anheuser-Busch InBev.

Kid Rock said Tuesday he was so annoyed by the development, it inspired him to start an American beer company of his own and “instill American pride,” at least in his own way, in the beer industry.

It's only sold in Michigan and will be available at the Allegan County Fair Saturday, Kid Rock said. Kid Rock also said he's helping the state's economy, as he’s hired eight people to help get the beer into more hands.

As for drinking a beer named after you, Kid Rock said he gets left with a “sweet hangover” and that it’s hard to get too upset when it's your brew.

“You don’t complain as much,” he said of a Badass American Lager hangover.

I think this is a very admirable of Robert Ritchie to employee residents and give back to the State of Michigan economy. Bringing us a good source of an American Lager with a better taste than any ordinary standard beer you can pick up. Such an American Badass. Mr. Rock reaches down into his Michigan Pride again. Truly proud to be a music fan of yours.

Hoping you will be selling nation wide soon. Employ many, many more!

Please start selling outside Michigan. Agree with Doctam82 we'd like to buy it if NC.

A little bartender 101 fo'ya, drink lotsa water throughout the day & even in between beers. This keeps U hydrated and really helps prevent hangovers, BIG TIME!!! :)

AJAY, I have to agree with you. I really look forward to supporting BadAss Beer, if and when it arrives in Southern Florida. I really like your thought behind "Americanized Marketing". It will only make it more desirable. Sadly, Anheuser was just another victim of foreign take~over. We too, lost Rolling Rock out of Latrobe, PA. We do still, though, have UNION MADE PBR! Seems like our American cos and unions are getting the brunt of our nations poor choice making abilities. If the powers that be are listening...CHILLIN THE MOST WITH A BADASS BEER AND SOME BADASS FRIENDS WOULD BE THE ICING ON MY CUP CAKE :p

Hey Kid, I am a Yakima, Wa girl. Just saw that you use Yakima hops in your beer. Good choice!!! I grew up next to a hop yard:) lol (Farm girl) I can't wait to try American Badass Beer. You should visit the Yakima Valley. I think you would like it. Love you, your music, and I know I will love Badass Beer!!!!

I'd been drinking Budlight for like 20yrs. but when Badass became available in my area I wanted to support Kid & Michigan, so I started drinking it, occasionally I'll have a Budlight, but now I actually prefer Badass....never thought I'd say that!! It really is good. Once in a while I'll have one too many Badass, I call it a Badass hangover ;p Hope it becomes available in all states someday.

Would like to try it...probably never will get to being i live in Southern Illinois. Didn't realize we lost Anheuser Busch in 2008. Lot of that used to come right out of St. Louis, MO. One of my stomping grounds for concerts. Very ironic to me to say the least...Kid ought to think about distributing it in the US only. Outside of Michigan. Promote it as an American beer made in the US...something like one of a dying breed. Make it affordable and get it out there to all of us. I know there are a lot redneck beer drinkers here in Southern Illinois and that is a fact...not bullshit...Pull a few spots during the football games this season advertising it...college as well as pro. Just a thought. Shame Anheuser-Busch is gone. Ain't a whole lot that is American made anymore and it gets chipped away more everyday..that i definitely agree with Kid Rock/Bob Ritchie....
