    Ty Stone to Join Kid Rock on Annual Concert Bash in Detroit

    Every summer, Kid Rock does his best to make a point to play a couple of shows in the Detroit area, where he was born and raised. Well, this year marks no difference for the singer-songwriter-rapper. On August 12 and 13, Kid Rock will take the stage at Comerica Park, where the Detroit Tigers play, bringing along with him Ty Stone as the opening act.

    “We’re talking 40,000-50,000 fans per night,” Stone tells Taste of Country. “That’s going to be huge! He played at Comerica last summer, and all the businesses were like, you really made [a difference in sales] for the whole summer when you did that, so I think feels like he needs to do it again. He’ll bring 40-50,000 people into a downtown that’s kind of going through some hard times for two nights in a row. That’s what I think his motivation for doing the show is.”

Hi, I have the same question as @kristina. My ticket information states event starts at 5:30. Does that mean doors open to Comerica Park at 5:30 or is something going on outside of the stadium before concert? Also will Ty Stone will be on stage at 5:30 or will there be additional artists performing? Any information will be greatly appreciated.

Im wondering if Ty is first then Sammy, or opposite...And Im wondering the times as well. Can someone tell me what it says for the time on thier tickets, my tickets are at will call, and some websites say 5:30 and some say 6:30....For the friday show...

@greenbud -- put the bong down and reread the title! It says Ty Stone will be joining Kid Rock, he's not replacing Sammy Hagar; so unbunch those panties! I've seen Ty Stone several times, he's VERY talented. Personally, I'd more excited to see Ty than Sammy. Now, go be "productive" and listen to Kid's "Killin' Brain Cells" -- if you can remember where to find it, that is!!

Ty Stone is great. He played in Saginaw with Kid. The Red Rocker will there also according to his web site. Ty is a good addition to the night.
