    Kid Rock's Donation To Support Flood Victims

    The Kid Rock Foundation is giving a $10,000 gift to the Nebraska-Southwest Iowa region of the American Red Cross, to support disaster assistance including Missouri River flooding.

    Kid Rock will present local Red Cross staff with the donation backstage at Red Sky on Wednesday. When he sings the song, "Care," the artist plans to show a photo of the check presentation on the jumbo-tron along with a message asking people to ‘Text 2 Help’ the Red Cross.

    The star's $10,000 gift comes in addition to a $50,000 gift he made this spring to help southern areas devastated by tornadoes.

    “The Red Cross is very grateful to have Kid Rock’s support for disaster relief as we continue to fight back the Missouri River this summer,” said Tina Labellarte, CEO for the region's Red Cross. “Kid Rock has gone above and beyond to the support the Red Cross during one of our hardest storm seasons. He surprised us again with his latest gift- making his total contribution to Disaster Relief $60,000 this year."

I remember tuning into the Red Cross Relief that I believe Mr. Hank Jr. Hosted, maybe even put together w/ I am sure, the help of a Friend ;). I remember the Cross Mr. Hank Jr. had on His lapel. I got to talk w/ Sarah Evans! :) What I gave wasn't much, but all the drops together... well, they fill the bucket don't they! God Bless You Again!!! :)))

Thank you for thinking of us in Iowa and Nebraska. You truly are a kind guy and you truly CARE!! Take a ride in a helicopter and from there the view is amazing as is the devastation. Have fun tonite be safe. I know alot of peope are excited to c you. I have seen you twice and was hoping you would be at sturgis this year and if not, will be finding another venue .

I am a member of the Nebraska Airboaters Association and would like to invite Kid Rock and the band for a day out on the Platte River on Airboats and show them how Nebraska plays in the summer time! I have had the good fortune this last year to become friends with one of the Red Cross Emergency Services Directors who spent many weeks in Joplin Missouri after it was hit by a EF-5 tornado that killed 130+ people and changed the lives of thousands forever. Kid Rock's generous support goes a long way in helping her and many other Red Cross workers and volunteers across this country continue their work that they are so very compassionate about. I challenge all the KRC members to follow Kid Rock's example and donate to their local Red Cross as little or as much as they can either by a donation of their time or their money. Together we could match Kid Rock's generous donation! How cool would that be!

Thank you from Iowa and Nebraska ! I was born and raised here in Iowa, Lived a good portion of my adult life in Nebraska. So I want to thank you so very much for all you do everywhere you help out. Times are tough for so many all across the nation and because of your kind heart you share what you work for to lend a hand. Thank you from just 1 other United States Native. You are one awesome man !!! I hope I make it over to Omaha today to see you perform tonight. I have a 3 hour drive ahead of me yet and still trying to get a ticket. If I don't catch ya this time hopefully next time you're in my driving range or area, I will get to see you. Thanks Kid Rock, from a Flint native lol! This flood has really been a nuisance to he community.. Although we here in Council Bluffs have not went through what some of the neighboring counties have it has still impacted us all in one way or another.
