    Buddy's Pizza Names New Specialty Pie After Kid Rock; Adds Rocker's 'Badass Beer' To Crust

    Kid Rock's popularity has leaped from the stage and music CDs to pizza crust.

    Farmington Hills-based Buddy's Pizza announced Thursday that its shop on Six Mile Road in Detroit will start offering "Kid Rock's Badass Detroiter Pizza."

    Buddy's spokeswoman Angela Hernandez says Kid Rock's "American Badass Beer" is added to the crust of its pepperoni and cheese Detroiter specialty pizza.

    Buddy's owner Robert Jacobs says "it just doesn't get much more Detroit than Kid Rock" on the decision to create the new pizza.

    Kid Rock was born Robert Ritchie. The singer and musician grew up in and lives in suburban Detroit.

    The announcement came as part of Buddy's 65th anniversary celebration of the first square pizza. The City Council presented the company with a resolution.

Road tripped with the kids and headed to the original Buddy's today. We had the Badass pizza and a regular pizza---really good! We each wore a Kid Rock shirt and the staff loved us. We told them they should put the pepperoni in the shape of the letters "K" and "R" though. They have Sanders Hot Fudge Cream Puffs on the dessert menu, too. They also told us phone orders were through the roof today after all the media coverage. It's nice that this helps them do well :)

wow....nice....not sold in ontario.....but bring a sixer home every time we shop in Clinton twshp area. and....just hosted a dinner party tonight cooking Portuguese cusine and....BADASS BEER went well with the meal, NOW...gotta get my hands on the Buddy's Badass Pizza
