    Kid Rock Returning to Host CMT Music Awards

    Kid Rock will return as the host of the CMT Music Awards on June 8 in Nashville. He hosted the event for the first time in 2010. "Hosting the CMT awards was a wonderful bridge to a great after party," he told Us Weekly. "I'm looking forward to crossing that bridge again this year." In addition to hosting duties, Kid Rock is nominated with Sheryl Crow in the collaborative video of the year category for "Collide." Tickets to the 2011 CMT Music Awards go on sale Saturday (May 21) at all Ticketmaster outlets and the Bridgestone Arena box office in downtown Nashville. The show will air live from the arena on CMT and CMT.com. As previously reported, Jason Aldean, Keith Urban, Lady Antebellum, Rascal Flatts and Sugarland will perform at the event.

Really handsome photo there. And no I am not Mrs Robinson. Just commenting on the photo oh, I will be watching CMT after all. I gotta check tonight and make sure it is on. I just got CMT for one month. Then I can turn it back off if I want to. I get some other extra channels with it too,so I get to see some other cools shows this month,however,I ordered CMT for one month just so I could watch the awards show. I missed it last time. Well gotta go/gotta eat.Question: If I wanted to attend the CMT award show in person,how soon do the tickets go on sale? I need to go to Nashville one day. I would like to go on the Elvis tour too.

Events like this crack me up. So many in the industry try to put a label on Kid Rock; so many try to bottle him up in a certain genre. It drives them crazy that he can write a song like "Care" and record it with country legend Martina McBride and rap artist T.I. Face it, Haters, there is no other artist/performer like Kid Rock. He bridges so many genres because he is just that talented and respected by artists all over the musical world--not to mention the millions of his fans that listen to Willie Nelson and Snoop Dogg. When I hear that "just because he hangs out with Bocephus doesn't make Kid country" I always ask, "Does hosting their annual awards event help?" :)

I gave those haters on the CMT website a piece of my mind. This is what I said: Kid Rock not country? Says who? If the QUEEN of country music, Loretta Lynn, thinks he is good enough to be on HER tribute album (for Coal Miner's Daughter) then that should be good enough. She ASKED him to sing on her album; she did an interview about the album(you can find it on YouTube) and she loves his music, talent and voice. Bob is friends with/performed with the likes of Hank Williams Jr, Kenny Chesney, Zac Brown, Gretchen Wilson, Martina McBride, Sheryl Crow, Miranda Lambert and LeeAnne Rimes. Are you telling me they aren't country? To the person who said "didn't he make a country album that flopped?" NO! Born Free is NOT country - it is rock, Southern rock and soul. It is his first album without a parental warning. If you LISTEN to the words you would hear his progression and evolution as both an artist and a person. He is older and wiser. We all change (hopefully) as we age. I will watch the CMTs because of Kid Rock! WE LOVE YOU BOB!

It is always a great show, but having Kid Rock host again this year makes it even better. He is a wonderful showman as well as a great all around guy!! We miss him here in Michigan, but us country girls up here love Nashville too, so we are ok with it!!! Hope you have a blast and we are with you all the way!!

Doug Grey Deserves A award mayor and they never get anything yet you have a MTB shirt on in Im on a boat mfer video... That would be so cool to go to! Maybe I could twist a friend of mines arm a bit to go check it out. I'd have to figure the $$$ signs to see if it would fit into my pityful budget. That would be so much fun to be there live! It's nice that they are selling tickets to the public, something I haven't seen before in the way past. Now I'm bumm'in 'cause I know I probally can't go....My friend is all the way in LA and it's short notice. Either way I'll see him.
