    Kid Rock Returning to Host CMT Music Awards

    Kid Rock will return as the host of the CMT Music Awards on June 8 in Nashville. He hosted the event for the first time in 2010. "Hosting the CMT awards was a wonderful bridge to a great after party," he told Us Weekly. "I'm looking forward to crossing that bridge again this year." In addition to hosting duties, Kid Rock is nominated with Sheryl Crow in the collaborative video of the year category for "Collide." Tickets to the 2011 CMT Music Awards go on sale Saturday (May 21) at all Ticketmaster outlets and the Bridgestone Arena box office in downtown Nashville. The show will air live from the arena on CMT and CMT.com. As previously reported, Jason Aldean, Keith Urban, Lady Antebellum, Rascal Flatts and Sugarland will perform at the event.

Why would they have anyone else???? Bob has swagger and the gift of gab. He is a true entertainer! He rocked it last time and will rock it again....love him!!!! Will watch the ENTIRE show (and I NEVER do that) just to see him do his thang!!!!! Love ya baby!!!!

Went last year but can't this year. You totally rocked the opening with "Cowboy." I gave your head of security a bunch of photos from it at your Ford Field Birthday Bash. Did you get them? One in particular was of all the Kid banners flying along a Nashville Street. Just curious if they ever reached ya. Anyway, loved Nashville. Bummed I can't go but will definitely tune in. Congrats on the hosting gig and I hope you and Sheryl get top honors. I'll be in Canada and they better have it on TV!!! Wish I could honky tonk along Broadway and 2nd.
