I love how you music relates to all of our lives in America. You put in to words what most of us cannot, the American hardships, dreams, aspirations, hope, love, caring hearts, fighting military, working class man/woman, and all in all, the American dream. Thank you Bobby for saying what most of us want to but cannot express so eloquently, yet simply , in words. Thanks for being our voice when we cannot speak, our dreams when we cannot dream, our thoughts when we don't know quite what to think, our mischief when we appear clean, our softness when we have the urge to be mean, our experience when some are so green. You Sir, in my book, are the new King. Elvis is long since gone and you do more than carry a song, melt a heart, make us smile, and make us all feel that It will be ok for at least a little while! Continue your great work and you will see that you've become everything you wanted to be, and so much more. From thegirlinredwhiteblue or rjl1969 the girl from next door.I'd take up stock, cause in my book, Kid, you really do rock!
I will get to surprise my alma mater tomorrow May 2 while doing a recruiting mission for nurses. Going back to my school where I graduated twice , both with honors, Phi Theta Kappa. Last minute volunteer and God puts us in the right place at the right time. Just so happens our director of nursing couldn't make it so now I will go with our administrator and corporate to represent . They had no idea about me graduating there with honors because it's not something I usually go around bragging about. Now they know and my ladder is getting shorter to climb. Worked my ass off for 16 years to get here and now finally paying off. 100,000 + year, 400,000 lake house to call home, new Challenger RT , new Ford f150, new Dodge truck w hemi, 1972 mustang Mach 1 I bought for my hubbies bday, still all original, enduro motorcycle for off/on road, hot tub, and fixin to take above ground pool out and have a new in ground pool and new dock put in. Life can't get no sweeter. I got funny cigarett and a 2 dollar bottle of wine, and there need not be no new beginnings, more money or window trimmings, cause if the good Lords willing I'm gonna keep on chillin, refilling that flying high! Flying high, where my friends all meet. Flying high, where life is sweet. There's no other place I'd like to beeeee! I once traveled on down to the south of France. I even bought me some Vercace pants but all that made me feel is like a fool. Cause a pontoon boat, a couple of friends ,a bottle of beer and some cut off jeans make me realize, you just can't buy cool!
Awesome!!!!!!! I think it's super cool of you to match the donation for the music program. I can't imagine anyone else being a better inspiration for the kids to get involved and discover talents that may have otherwise never been discovered.
Happy Ressurection Day Kid... Time to ressurect the dead with some KID ROCK Jams and give NEW LIFE to the Living. Yes... God does know why, how, when and where. Peace my Brother.
Happy Easter to you and your family, Bobby! You are such an inspiration to people of all ages and walks of life. God Bless You for always standing for what you believe in and setting an example for the young people today. I pray that you will continue to have the strength to keep going and never give up!
Wow, how cool is that!! It's so wonderful that you always surprise people Bob. I bet these kids were over the moon when they met you. You're a great great man. Wishing you and your family a happy Easter.
I love this picture...what a great day for those kids. You have worked so hard to get where you are and I think the advice you gave them is priceless....I hope they listen and go forth and prosper!!!!! Happy Easter and ROCK ON!!!!!!!!!!
That is really cool that you go back to your alma mater and would hang out with the kids. You were raised right by your Mom to enstill those kinds of values in you for all the things you do for your fans, community, etc. I only hope I can do the same for my boys and raise them right. You are a terrific person and showman and we cannot wait to see you again in August. I was telling some people about the amazing show we saw of yours in February (#6) time for seeing you then. Anyway, Happy Easter to you, your family and all the KRC!!
Thats really nice. I love how you give back to your fans. The fact that you tell people in this economy that you really appreciate the fans spending their hard earned money to come and see you. That means a lot. Because I know for a fact I'm one without a whole lot of money, but I always manage to get to your concerts when in our town. Thanks again man, hope you and your family have a wonderful Easter Holiday!!
Good for you! I'm a older fan of yours since you changed your style of music by cleaning up the language and singing from the heart. But you really impress me with your give back style to your fans and community. Many people become rich and famous in many ways but they seem to miss the boat when it comes to remembering how they got to that point in life. I sincerely feel YOU GOT IT! God Bless and Happy Easter to you and your family!!! And please continue to sing from your heart...Born Free was a terrific CD.
That is pretty cool thing to do. Bet those kids loved it. I hope you encouraged them to get an education because it is tough enough out there let alone without one!
I live in Clarkston, my nephew goes to RHS- he called me on Wednesday, from school, and was screaming into the phone "AUNT LYNNIE KID ROCK IS AT MY SCHOOL"!! He knows I'm a longtime adoring fan! Thank you for all you do for your fans- yet still remember where you came from and for giving back- the biggest reason I positively adore you! XOOXXO
I am always the first one to praise you, Bob, for your good works, but this time I want to congratulate your parents. You are always doing for others, way more than you have to, and that is because of your kind and generous heart but also from what you were taught. Your mom must be incredibly proud. I know I am a very proud member of the KRC and will continue to praise you, your music, and your generosity to others, especially the military. Keep up the great work!
You are so amazing! I just love how you are always giving back to your community and to this state! Come to Harrison MI next!! With all of the programs etc. being taken away from public education right now, our students would love something positive like this! Keep giving back Kid! It is one of the many reasons we love you in this great state...not to mention you f**king ROCK!!!! Your devoted fan forever!!
the one thing i find so amazing about you KID ROCK is how you continuously keep your hometown so close to you , even when you are touring , you keep your hometown right along with you ! just another awesome characteristic about you that makes me so proud and privileged to be a member of your fan club . thank you for allowing me to be a member of such an ELITE group !!!!! Thanks for KEEPING IT REAL !!!! Love always , your devoted fan !!!!
You must be the coolest rock star ever. You take care of your boy just like a normal dad does. Not that your not normal but with the life you have you certainly could have gone a different way. I smile very time I hear the good things you have done for Michigan. Just knowing that and that your a good Dad makes me want to listen to your music. But I would listen to it anyways. I love the new Born Free album and your video in upper MIchigan. I personally think Michigan is awesome and don't ever want to leave permanently. My 6 yr old daughter and 8 year old son love you too. They know most of your songs word for word on Rock n Roll Jesus album. They were so mad I didn't take them to see your show at Comerica Park but its really not a place to take little guys. My teenager on the other hand thought he died and went to heaven the night we took him. Actually we took him to your show at Pine Knob too. Yes it will always be pine knob to me. The Pine Knob show was the first time my son seen me drunk ever and he still talks about it and how much fun he had. Keep Rocking and always stay real. Kathy
Mr. Ritchie, you continue to inspire. And my admiration for and appreciation of you continues to grow...even still. You are a kind, generous, and gracious man. Keep shining your light!
Smiles:)
