    Kid Rock surprises Romeo High School Students

    Students at Romeo High School got a surprise visitor during an assembly Wednesday. Kid Rock dropped off a big donation to help his Alma Mater's music program. He donated $5,000 to the school's performing arts program, which matches a donation already made by the Grammy Foundation and Best Buy Mobile. Students said his biggest contribution wasn't money, it was his presence and advice. "Don't hang out with idiots," Kid Rock said. "Surround yourself with good people. If you surround yourself with good people, you'll go far. If you start hanging out with knuckleheads, you'll be right in the knucklehead section the rest of your life."

Stories like this make me miss Michigan , all my family there, pine knobb, woodward, spring time, white castles, all that yummy chinese food, green lantern pizza, buchemis subs, julian brothers bakery, yates cider mill,,, boy oh boy oh boy the chinese food here in Cali is no where near Michigans, sorry off subject here,,, Bobbi's you're so frickin cool , what a great person you are!

There is no one nicer then KID ROCK...I first met him back in the early 90's when my son was playing his music on Baldwin Wallace's radio station...He told Bob he had to come to Cleveland..and we know the rest of the story..and I know Bob will never forget "BIG JOHN"

Romeo here!!! Just north of 26 (Washington twp),,, heard the stories for years around here after I got back from the service. Awesome Bro...the kid next store is still talking about it....Congrats man, when I first listened to ya in the early 90's thought you were a knucklehead (liked it though!!) I bought your CD Polyfuze Method when I was stationed in Berlin Germany. I told everybody this guy is what the D's about. My buddies from Cali and and NYC loved it. Later in the years when I was in Iraq my buddy from Cali now a Command Sgt Major (CSM) was jamming that same CD In 2004. His CD and mine is part of the "Convoy Jams" Now mine is no longer with. One convoy didn't go as planned. So long story short, we have been all over the world and for that one moment we all were in the same place. This area has been hit hard so thanks again for making are day a little better...
